If Tomorrow Never Comes

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness And Joy

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep, I
would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I
would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in
praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them
back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or
two to stop and say I love you, instead of assuming you would know I do.

If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we
always get a second chance to make everything right.

There will always be another day to say I love you, and certainly
there's another chance to say "Anything I can do."

But just in case I might be wrong and today is all I get, I'd like to
say how much I love you and I hope we never forget,

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, and today may
be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight..

So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow
never comes, you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and
you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one
last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear, and tell
them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear,

Take time to say "I'm sorry, please forgive me," "thank you" or "its
okay". And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.

The Formless Assumes The Human Form

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness And Joy

The primeval word Pranava has emerged from the limitless expanse of the
cosmos. The formless has also assumes the shape of a human body.

The bodiless Brahma manifests in human form and fills this meaningless
existence with sun and substance, whenever the mundane earthy life
pines for immorality.

The unquenched thirst of humanity to meet the divinity slides on from
birth to birth unfolding the walls of heaven on the banks of the stream
of time. The God has then to incarnate on earth.

When the clouds of destruction loom low on the battlefield, when Parth
becomes apprehensive and diffident, the clarion call of hope for new
life beckons the lost purpose to steer the helm of duty.

The God incarnate in a new forms in every age for the establishment of
Dharma, for the destruction of the wicked and for the protection of
righteous men.

Sri Sai Baba's outwardly form of fakir is nothing else but the
personified grace and compassion of the Universal Guru Lord Dattatreya.
The form assumed by the God is capable of eliminating the distress of
the devotees. Sri Sai Baba is the humanized love of God flowing from
century to century seeking the welfare of his devotees.

The lotus feet of Sri Sai Baba are the same divine feet which made
their imprints on the bank of Saryu River in Ayodhya and in the sands
of Kalindi. As these are the feet of Shree Ram and Shree Krishna, these
have touched both the forest land in exile as well as the marble floor
of palaces. The same footsteps are now treading the dust of Shirdi.

The yearning and the carvings of sadhus, saints, sages and suffering
humanity make the divine to manifest on the earth. His mission is to
uplift righteousness and establish the true tenets of dharma and virtue.

To Forgive

Aum Sairam

Happy Baba's Day

To forgive means to forget the negativity of the past.

When someone does something wrong towards us, we tend to hold on to
that in the form of negative feelings and attitude. As we continue to
keep this in the mind it continues to influence all future interactions
with that person.

Even if the other person brings about a change, we tend to remind him
of it with our attitude and thus he finds it difficult to sustain his change.

I need to develop the power to forget the other person's mistakes and
remember his positive actions. When I give such a conducive and
positive environment, I make it easier for him to realize and I inspire
him to bring about a change by overcoming his weakness.

Importance of Chanting

Aum Sairam

Some might say that they do not understand the meaning of the Sanskrit
words in the stotram and therefore do not feel comfortable chanting it.
The chanting of prayers even without knowing the meaning is a
worthwhile act, and can be compared to finding a box of treasure
without the key. As long as we have the box, we can open it whenever we
get the key of knowledge later, but the treasure will be already there.
Some could feel that they do not know the correct pronunciation, and so
do not want to chant incorrectly. Here is the analogy of a mother to
whom a child goes and asks for an orange. The child does not know how
to pronounce the word "orange", and so asks for "ange". The mother does
not turn away the child and does not refuse to give the child the
orange just because the child does not know how to pronounce the word.
It is the spirit or bhava that matters; so as long as one chants the
name of God with sincerity, considerations such as not knowing the
meaning, not knowing the pronunciation, etc., do not matter, and God
who is the Mother of all of us will confer His blessings on us.

Why Am I Here On Earth?

Aum Sairam

You are here for one purpose, and that is that you are trying to prove
to yourself that you are separate from God. In reality, you and God are
one, but in fact you have created the illusion that you are indeed separate.

How do I create this illusion?

The illusion is created by thinking you are separate from other people.
Without other people, you cannot create the illusion of separateness.

How do I heal this illusion?

You must see the face of God in everyone you meet, and you must realise
that you are one with everyone and everything. As long as the thought
of separateness remains dominant in your mind, you will always have
great pain in your life.

This tiny thought that you have separated yourself from all of Creation
is indeed the source of all your pain. Heal this thought and all pain
and poverty will be forever gone.

Love and Touch of God

Aum Sairam

Oh my strength, I will watch for you; for you, O God is my fortress.

There are times when life presses down so hard upon us that we feel as
if we can hardly breathe. We struggle underneath a weight so heavy that
the air itself seems compressed and flat. While the ache and sorrow are
almost more than we can bear, we are often more awake and aware at
times of crisis than at any other times in our life. This is, perhaps,
one of the great graces of suffering. Every cell stands at attention
and life is fully real. There are no illusions, no sleeping through the struggle.

In our painful wakefulness we find our soul straining for the glance of
heaven. We seek either a release from the suffering or a reason for it.
We wait, we watch, we wait, we watch. We pour out our heart in prayer
and look for the signs that heaven has heard. And then the moment
comes. The Holy One lifts from us the misery that has held us captive.
We find we have been plumped up again with hope. Our heart fills with
gratitude, and we realize that the suffering that was so unwelcome has
actually brought us closer to
the love and touch of God.

Oh Sai, when suffering blinds me to the goodness of life; waken me by
the heat of your love.

Sai Is My Strength

Aum Sairam

Sri Sai is my strength, my eternal guiding light. He stands with me in
the sunshine, calms me through the stormy nights.

He stands with me on the mountain tops.
He walks with me upon the beach, when it is His guidance that my heart
does seek.

Always there to pick me up, when I fall on bended knees; He is The
Captain of my ship, as we sail across the seas.

He is in each and every breath I take, in every path within my sight,
when I take life's daily journey; I pray my choices have been right.

He greets me with the morning, as each new day awakes. His canvas is
the earth and sky. What a beautiful sight it makes.

He renews the strength with in my heart. My faith shall never falter.
For, when I sing His loving praise, my soul becomes even stronger.

Allah Malik

I will Try

Aum Sairam

I will try no matter how hard I have to.
I will try even if life crushes me down.
I will not give up and try and try to rise high.
I will try to fly and touch the sky, even if the world says you don't
have the wings and you can't fly.
I will try to win, even if I am losing.
I will try to have hope, even if there is none.
I will try always to smile, even if I am crying.
I will try to sing, even if my voice is dying.
I will try to be positive, even if I am surrounded in negatives.
I will try to reach for the heaven, even if I am in hell.
I will try to love, even if I have a broken heart.

Even if my fate defies me and my luck betrays.
In the darkest days with no sun rays.
I will try and do nothing else till I've achieved my dreams and won't
give up.
As winner I wish to live, who fights till the last breath...

And I will try to live even if I am about to die.

Thank You

Aum Sairam

Happy Moments, Praise Sri Sai
Difficult Moments, Seek Sri Sai
Quiet Moments, Worship Sri Sai
Painful Moments, Trust Sri Sai
Every Moment, THANK SRI SAI

If there is a future there is time for mending
Time to see your troubles coming to an ending.
Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow
If you're looking forward to a new tomorrow.
If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping
When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping.
Though the heart is heavy and hurt you may be feeling
If there is time for praying there is time for healing.
So if through your window there is a new day breaking
Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching,
If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning
There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

Blessings and Goodwill

Aum Sairam

I find what I look for in people. If I look for God, I find God. If I
look for bad qualities, I find them. I, in a sense, select what I
expect, and I receive it.

A life without challenges would be like going to school without lessons
to learn. Challenges come not to depress or get me down, but to master
and to grow and to unfold thereby.

In the Father's wise and loving plan for me, no burden can fall upon
me, no emergency can arise, and no grief can overtake me, before I am
given the grace and strength to meet them.

A rich, full life is not determined by outer circumstances and
relationships. These can be contributory to it, but cannot be the
source. I am happy or unhappy because of what I think and feel.

I can never lose anything that belongs to me, nor can I posses what is
not really mine.

To never run from a problem either it will chase me or I will run into
another just like it, although it may have a different face or name.

To have no concern for tomorrow. Today is the yesterday over which I
had concern.

To never bang on a closed door Wait for it to open and then go through it.

A person who has come into my life has come either to teach me
something, or to learn something from me.

Let us remember His love towards us, towards our perfections and
imperfections. Let us reinforce our faith in Sri Sainath with His
blessings and the Goodwill of Sai Brothers and Sisters worldwide.

The Difference between Strength and Courage

Aum Sairam

It takes strength to be firm; it takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to stand guard; it takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes strength to conquer, it takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to be certain; it takes courage to have doubt.
It takes strength to fit in; it takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain; it takes courage to feel
your own pain.
It takes strength to hide your own pains; it takes courage to show them.
It takes strength to endure abuse; it takes courage to stop it.
It takes strength to stand alone; it takes courage to lean on another.
It takes strength to love; it takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive, it takes courage to live.

Let us pray at the feet of Sri Sai Baba who is the incarnation of all
Gods and protector of all, to show mercy on us, and increase our
devotion towards him.

Ever Wonder About The Abbreviation A.S.A.P.?

Aum Sairam

Generally we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our
lives. Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we
will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days along the way.

There's work to do, deadlines to meet you've got no time to spare, but
as you hurry and scurry. ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

In the midst of family chaos," Quality time" is rare, do your best;
let God do the rest. ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

It may seem like our worries are more than you can bare, slow down and
take a breather
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

God knows how stressful life is, He wants to ease our cares, and He'll
respond ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

Full of Joy

Aum Sairam

Sri Sai is ever full of joy. Anxiety, grief and unrest cannot approach
Sri Sai, even as near as millions of miles. Believe it or not, Sri Sai
does not have the slightest experience of anxiety, For, Sri Sai is ever
aware of the formation and transformation of objects and the antics of
time and space and of the incidents therein.

Those who have no knowledge of these and those who are affected by
circumstances are affected by sorrow. Those who are caught in the coils
of time and space become the victims of grief. Though Sri Sai is
involved in events conditioned by time and space, Sri Sai is ever
established in the Principle that is beyond both time and space.

Sri Sai is not conditioned by time place or circumstance.

Why Don't We Pray

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success,
Happiness and Joy

The highest privilege ever afforded to man is the power of
prayer....then why don't we pray?

The right to talk to the highest potentate in the entire
universe....then why don't we pray?

The most powerful force accessible to man is the potential of
prayer....then why don't we pray?

The greatest longing in the heart of God is to talk to His
children....then why don't we pray?

Nothing is impossible to those who pray....then why don't we pray?

No man ever fainted or faltered who gave himself to prayer....then why
don't we pray?

Every sin is forgiven, every stain is washed clean, all guilt
diminished to the man who prays....then why don't we pray?

Hell moves farther away, Satan flees from the man who prays....then why
don't we pray?

Anointing will come, mountains will be moved, valleys made smooth,
rivers made crossable, the inaccessible made accessible, the impossible
made possible, dreams come through to the man who prays....then why
don't we pray?

God said that men ought always to pray....then why don't we pray?

The riches of heaven are open to those who pray in His name....then why
don't we pray?

Everyone can pray, the young, the old, the rich, the poor, the strong,
the weak, the child, the aged, the sinner, the prisoner, in any nation,
in any language, all can pray....then why don't we pray?

Prayer of the Day

Aum Sairam

Happy Baba's Day

Give Ear, Oh Sri Sai, to My Prayer

Incline your ear, Oh Sri Sai, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
Preserve my life, for I am devoted to you, save your servant who trusts
in you.

You are my Sadguru, be gracious to me, Oh Sri Sai, for you do I cry all
day long.

Gladden the soul of your child, for you, Oh Sri Sai, I lift up my soul.

For you, Oh Sri Sai, good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to
all who call on you.

Give ear, Oh Sri Sai, to my prayer; listen to my cry of supplication.
In the day of my trouble I call on you, for you will answer me.

He is the Father, Only Eternal

Aum Sairam

The relationship between Sri Sai Baba and His devotee is expressed in
several ways. He is the mother, He is the father. He is Sadguru and He
is God. He can be anything to anyone, just the way one would like it.
However, the difference is that the relationship is permanent and
existed even before it was known or felt. Sri Sai Baba would often say,
I will draw my devotee to me, just as a bird is drawn with strings
attached to its legs. The analogy aptly refers to the agitated mind of
the child that is comforted by the thought of His safe hands. Let us
see the relationship beautifully expressed in the following phrases:

This relationship between the Supreme Being and the individual soul
[human being] will never be allowed to be snapped. Unlike the steps
taken by a father to groom his son or daughter and the latter
expressing his gratitude, which acts are merely temporary, the tie
between God and His devotees will be unbroken forever. The essential
requirement of the latter is to shed his ego. Saint Appar has said even
as a snake bites a person, ego stings him resulting in aberration in
his behavior. Secondly, as a servant, he should demonstrate how he is
always dependent on the Almighty. Poet Kamban has pointed out how Rama
[God in the form of human being] followed Sage Vishwamitra and how
Lakshmana dutifully attended on Him. I serve Him to please Him were his
words. Likewise a sincere devotee should declare pleading with God, I
want only You and none else and nothing else.

The term devotion has been described in holy works from different
angles. The essence of it, in simple manner, will be that it represents
perfection of humility and ardent service to God and His messengers and
also extinction of one's ego and ill will. It should not be mistaken
with the display of mere emotional rapture. Then, what will be the
definition of a sincere devotee? This too has been stated clearly,
namely that he is one who has clear understanding of his relationship
with the Almighty and that the bond that exists between the two is
permanent. He should hold on to the feet of one God alone without
switching his loyalty to various deities. A devotee will assiduously
carry out Divine commands, and will attend on spiritual guides.

Something Special to Say

Aum Sairam

My heart has something special to say its "Aum Sai Sri Sai Jaya Jaya
Sai" each and every day.

Almighty Sri Shirdi Sai Baba is above all things the more I praise Him,
the more my heart sings.

When I say "Aum Sai Sri Sai Jaya Jaya Sai" hundred times He forgives
thousand sins of mine or, He gives in its place thousand rewards from
His Grace.

Thank You Lord Sainath for Your generous reward
I am so blessed to know You are my Lord!

Moments in Life

Aum Sairam

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just
want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

When the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times we
look so long at the
closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to
make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want
to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the
things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make
you strong,
enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you
can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and
everyone around you is crying.

Don't count the years--count the memories...........

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the
moments that take our breath away!

Eternal Bliss

Aum Sairam

Sri Sai Baba's physical or finite form has no doubt disappeared from
our view; but the infinite or spiritual form [Spirit of Baba] ever
lives. The Leela's which occurred during His lifetime have been dwelt
upon at great length up till now. Ever since His passing away, fresh
Leela's have taken place and are even now happening. This clearly
shows that Sri Sai Baba is ever-living and helping His devotees as
before. The people, who got the contact of Sri Sai Baba when He was
living, were indeed very fortunate, but if any of them did not get a
dispassion for the things and enjoyments of the world and had not their
minds turned to the Lord, it was their ill-luck. What was then wanted
and is now wanted is the whole-hearted devotion to Sri Sai Baba. All
our senses, organs, and mind should co-operate in worshipping and
serving Sri Sai Baba. It is no use in engaging some organs in the
worship and deflecting others. If a thing like worship or meditation is
to be done, it ought to be done with all our mind and soul.

The love that a chaste woman bears to her husband is sometimes compared
to that which a disciple bears to his master [Guru]. Yet the former
falls far short of the latter, which is incomparable. No one, whether
he is father, mother, brother or any other relation, comes to our aid
in attaining the goal of life [self-realization]. We have to chalk out
and traverse the path of self-realization ourselves. We have to
discriminate between the Unreal and the Real, renounce the things and
enjoyments of this world and the next, control our senses and mind, and
aspire for liberation only. Instead of depending upon others, we should
have full faith in ourselves. When we begin to practice discrimination,
we come to know, that the world is transient and unreal and our passion
for worldly things becomes less and less, and ultimately we get
dispassion or non-attachment for them.

Then we know that the Brahma which is no other than our Guru is the
sole reality and as it transcends and besets the seeming universe, we
begin to worship it in all creatures. This is the unitive Bhajan or
worship. When we thus worship the Brahma or Guru whole-heartedly, we
become one with Him and attain self-realization. In short, always
chanting the name of the Guru, and meditating on Him enables us to see
Him in all beings, and confers eternal bliss on us.

I Choose

Aum Sairam

It's quiet. It's early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The
world is still asleep. The day is coming.

In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with
the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for
the noise of the day.

The calm of the solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the
human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by
decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.

For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day's demands. It is
now that I must make a choice. Because of Calvary, I'm free to choose.
And so I choose.

I choose love...
No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness, I
choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.

I choose joy...
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the
temptation to be cynical... the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse
to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I
will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an
opportunity to see God.

I choose peace...
I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I choose patience...
I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the
one who takes my place, I'll invite him to do so. Rather than
complaining that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to
pray. Instead of clenching my fist at new assignments, I will face them
with joy and courage.

I choose kindness...
I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for
they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has
treated me.

I choose goodness...
I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be
overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse.

I choose faithfulness...
Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust.
My associates will not question my word. My loved ones will not
question my love. And my children will never fear that their parent
will not come home.

I choose gentleness...
Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice,
may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in
prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of me.

I choose self-control...
I am a spiritual being. After this body is dead, my spirit will soar.
I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal. I choose self-
control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my
faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ.

I choose self-control.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I
will give thanks.

If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then when this day is done, I
will place my head on my pillow and rest.

Teach Me!

Aum Sairam

Teach me your way, Oh Lord, that I may walk in your truth; give me an
undivided heart to revere your name.

Truth is hard to embrace when your heart is divided. When the twists
and turns of life have caused your heart to split in two, truth becomes
difficult to recognize. We search for truth, we ask ourselves what it
is, and we may even find ourselves hiding, denying, or despising it. We
either try to discover the truth in all the untamed strands that are
wiggling around in our heart, or we try to meld all the strands into
one so that the truth is easier to discern. There is, in fact, truth in
all the strands, but it is living the truth single-mindedly that
becomes fuzzy the more our heart is pulled in various directions.

Learning the ways of heaven makes it possible for us heals the breaches
in our heart and claims a higher truth. We begin to see that healing
the divisions in our heart is important, but imperfect. We find we have
a silent desire to have our human truth gathered up into the divine
truth that is the very essence of eternity. In the end, we know that it
is the pure truth of heaven alone that will mend our tattered heart and
give it the balance and meaning for which it longs. So, perhaps, it is
worth the effort to learn the ways of heaven. Oh yes, it is surely
worth it.

Oh God, take the filaments of my heart and knit them together until
truth becomes clear in and through me.

Inspirational Quotes

Aum Sairam

It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and
persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and
unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for
years or even generations.

Don't take responsibility for those who do not heal. Don't take
responsibility for those who DO. Celebrate those who heal, cry over the
ones that don't, but don't take responsibility for anything but the
integrity of the energy you put out. Shine the light and stay in place.

When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to
step off into the darkness of the unknown, FAITH knows one of two
things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you
will be taught how to fly.

Love the heart that hurts you, but never hurt the heart that loves you.

Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever
loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in
love is done well.

The thought manifests as the word. The word manifests as the deed. The
deed develops into habit. And the habit hardens into character. So
watch the thought and its ways with care. And let it spring from love,
born out of concern for all beings.

Rouse Your Higher Emotions

Aum Sairam

He who loves Me is made pure, his heart melts in joy.
He rises to transcendental consciousness by rousing his higher emotions.
Tears of joy flow from his eyes, his hair stands on end, and his heart

Lead Us To Ultimate Truth

Aum Sairam

Sai Baba, who can describe you but yourself?
You are knowledge incarnate but we are ignorant!
How can we understand you with our ignorance!
Sai, the ever merciful, please shower mercy on us!

In our ego, we think we rule this world!
In our ignorance, we feel we are learned and smart!
In our pride, we make a fool of ourselves day in and day out!
In our greed, we cheat on everything!
In our anger, we call you names and are rude!

Sai, the ever merciful, please show us the light!
Remove this darkness that engulfs and envelops us!
Remove this fear that we live with every day!
Remove this complex that we have developed in our lives!

Sai Baba, you are infinite love whereas we are null!
Sai Baba, you are infinite compassion whereas we are null!
Sai Baba, you are infinite knowledge where as we are null!
Sai Baba, you are infinite wisdom whereas we are null!

With reverence and respects, we come to you!
Baba, the ever merciful, please show us the path!
There is none other than you in this Universe,
From Ignorance to Knowledge, who can lead us there!

Sai, the ocean of mercy, why the delay?
Baba, why do you keep us away?
Sai, we have lost our hopes and feel very low!
Baba, is there any purpose of Life without you?

Sai Baba, the king of kings, shower your grace!
Sai Baba, the eternal living soul, please pardon us!
Sai Baba, please pull us out of this darkness!
Sai Baba, please give us a chance to reach you!

Sai Baba, the ruler of this universe, we seek mercy at your doorstep!
With folded hands, bowed heads and full surrender, we pray to you!
Sai Baba, please accept our prayers!
Sai Baba, please lead us to the ultimate truth!

Fear

Aum Sairam

In nature, when two individuals meet, either they are attracted to or
repelled by each other, i.e., they meet as friends or foes. Their
respective strength, position, powers; sympathies and attitude towards
external objects will determine the question of friendship or enmity.
In the case of divine beings, the attributes in question include
superior power, vast strength and protection or help to all creatures.
So, normally, fear and awe are the first responses to be aroused when
such a creature encounters the divine. These responses are followed by
gratitude and service, and the creature may subsequently rise to or be
raised to the level of being in friendship and love with the divine.
The spirit of perfect unreserved surrender ending in merger accompanies this.

Salvation begins with fear and humility and ends with transmutation of
the fearing and separate individual self into the supreme self. Fear,
like many other emotions, is seen to be a transient phase. Fear, though
natural at first or early stages of contact must pass or be changed
into higher emotions and sentiments. Fear of Sri Sainath is the
beginning of wisdom. However, it cannot even in the lowest forms,
remain unalloyed fear. In higher cultures especially, it is seen to be
soon transformed to awe. Awe, which recognizes the sublimity of Divine
power, marks a distinct cultural advance. Even awe must be transient.
If not, one would contemplate their life's time on witnessing Sri
Sainath's miracles and stay at distance from Sri Sainath. It is
unhealthy for one to remain longer in this stage of spiritual ladder.
As fear is the most common, almost normal beginning of devotion, it is
held to be a virtue. However, it is a virtue only at one stage. Fear is
the teething ring or a rattle that has to be shunned away at one point
in order to see the higher states of bliss.

Facts of Life

Aum Sairam

To ascend the sky on the Ladder of sun rays may be possible, but one
cannot find a GURU without intense longing.

To reach heaven by swimming through the river of fire may be possible,
but the merit of Guru's satsang one cannot know, one cannot know.

The fantasies of a dream may come true, but the merit of Guru's satsang
one cannot know,one cannot know.

Fother, Mother, brother, Sister, and a good birth are possible to get,
but to get the company of a GURU is rare fortune.

Says Nama, I prefer the company of a GURU to that of the Lord, for
without them, the cycle of birth and death cannot end, cannot end.

Simple Teaching

Aum Sairam

What Shirdi Shri Sai Baba preached was actually quite simple. According
to him, real sorrow is the cycle of birth and death and the real
happiness is liberation. He suggested:

(a) Accept your lot cheerfully. If you acquire wealth, become humble
the way a tree laden with fruit bows down. Money is a necessity but
don't get obsessed with it. Yet, don't be a miser, be generous.

(b) Perform your duty conscientiously and with detachment, not
regarding yourself as the doer.

(c) Surrender the fruit of action to god so that action does not bind
you. It is ties of indebtedness from previous births, which bring
humans and other beings together.

(d) Satisfy your sexual desire, albeit only with your spouse. Don't
drown in lust. Rein it with discrimination.

(e) Give rein to the negative states (avariciousness, anger, hatred,
pride, etc.) only as much as is essential to go through the karma
earmarked for this physical existence.

(f) To steady the mind, idol worship is a way, even though the idol is
not God. If you do puja with devotion and emotion, you can concentrate better.

(g) Herculean effort is necessary for god-realization. There are four
elements in sadhana: Discrimination between the eternal and the
ephemeral: that Brahman alone is true, the world is not. Next,
renouncing all desire about this life or the thereafter. The third is
to inculcate these qualities: control of the mind, bearing without
anguish the fated pain and sorrow, remaining ensnared by maya, knowing
that money, wife, children and relatives are all ephemeral. The fourth
is an intense desire for liberation.

God Is A Reality

Aum Sairam

God is present everywhere; but we can understand only that part of Him
that manifests before our cognition. Ordinary people will swear that
the earth does not move at all, it is held forth in poetry as a symbol
of stability. But, it has two motions, both unbelievably fast! It
rotates on its own axis at a speed, which exceeds a thousand miles per
hour; even while rotating so, the earth moves round the sun at an
astonishing rate of speed! But, do we notice it while it happens?

God too is a reality, present in us and in every being; but we miss
Him, as we miss the movement of the earth. We have to infer God
thorough proofs and evidences of His providence, His grace, His majesty
and His glory, just as we infer the movements of the earth, the moon
and the stars, by watching the sky, the seasons and the precise
procession of day and night.

We cannot describe God in the vocabulary learnt upon the earth. We have
to experience the bliss of realizing Him as the core of our being. Man
is endowed with a sense of wonder and awe, the sense, which makes him
either a participant, an inquirer into the mystery or a devout adorer.
When he suppresses, ignores, or bypasses this sense of wonder, he gets
involved in the physical world, physical needs and physical pursuits.
He starts worshiping mammon and he strays away from the good, the just
and the beautiful. He barters the chalice of bliss for a mouthful of dust.

Gratituder

Aum Sairam

Well on the verge of suffering and pains surrounding around each in
some way or other ; we lost our vision and feels loser and under such
cicumstances the heal given by another one being will be thanked for
because God can come in any from to relave us.

"Always be grateful, even for a small help. Do not be ungrateful;
ingratitude is utter cruelty. Any help received should be reciprocated
to the extent possible. Hurting someone who has helped you will result
in your losing your eyesight. It is only through the radiance of the
sun that you see things, and the sun withdraws its radiance from those
who commit the sin of ingratitude. This is the suffering that an
ungrateful person has to undergo. Therefore, we should always be
grateful and return help for help, to the utmost extent possible."

May our beloved Sri Sai Baba be kind enough to bestow in all of the
spirti of kindness and humbleness towards all beings and creatures of
this world.

What Needs Attention

Aum Sairam

We often spend so much time coping with problems along our path that we
only have a dim or even inaccurate view of what's really important to us.

Where are you struggling in your life?

Look at your career, finances, relationships, growth, health and
emotions. Where are you experiencing major challenges? Of these, which
area most needs your attention at this time? Set an intention to face
this struggle and resolve it. ATTENTION on your TENSION often releases it.

The measure of success is not whether you have a tough problem to deal
with, but whether it's the same problem you had last year.

Choose Differently Today

"It is always your next move."

The great benefit of heightened awareness is that we have more choice
in how we live our lives. At any moment, we can purposefully choose a
new experience for ourselves. We can choose to pay attention, breathe
more deeply, laugh, rest, play, appreciate, do something different -
the possibilities are endless.

Whenever you remember, TAKE YOURSELF OFF AUTO-PILOT and really examine
your situation. Take charge and make a choice that will enrich your
experience. At the end of the day, reflect on what happened and how you
felt when you chose a new line of thought, feeling or action.

"We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life.
But we can decide what happens in us -- how we can take it, what we do
with it -- and that is what really counts in the end."

"When a defining moment comes along, you can do one of two things.
Define the moment, or let the moment define you."

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

Let It Go!

Aum Sairam

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was
never intended for your life, then you need to... LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains...LET IT GO!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your
worth...LET IT GO! [PLEASE!]

If someone has angered you...LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge...LET IT GO!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction...LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to a job that longer meets your needs or
talents...LET IT GO!

If you have a bad attitude....LET IT GO!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better...LET IT GO!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new
level in Him....LET IT GO!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship...LET
IT GO!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help
themselves...LET IT GO!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed...LET IT GO!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling
yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it", then you need
to...LET IT GO!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new
thing!...LET IT GO NOW!

Get Right or Get Left...think about it, then... LET IT GO!

Focus for Life

Aum Sairam

Whatever you dwell upon in your mind, you give power to. So of course
it makes sense to focus on what you want rather than what you don't
want. Yet there are many ways in which the things you don't want can
sneak into your thinking.

Worry and doubt focus your thinking on what you don't want. Rather than
worrying about the bad things that might happen, direct your actions
toward making positive things happen.

Complaining can also get your mind sidetracked into thinking about what
you don't want. What do you complain about The things you don't like.
Rather than complaining, take action. Action moves you toward what you
do want.

Anger is one more way to get your thinking negatively directed. Rather
than getting angry about what you don't like, use that energy to give
you determination for what you want to achieve.

Keep your mind positively focused on the good things that life can
offer. Those things will grow stronger and more abundant in your world.

The Boomerang

Aum Sairam

Whether you realize it or not, you are throwing the boomerang today. As
you know, a boomerang is an angular club you toss away from you that
eventually returns to you. In the game of life, you throw the boomerang
daily, in the form of actions and behaviors that you send out into the
world, and which return to you at some later date -- often multiplied
on the rebound.

You've probably heard this principle stated in different ways,
including, What goes around comes around. Or the Biblical phrases, Give
and it shall be given unto you and As you sow, so shall you reap.

But how does this principle apply to your day-to-day life Simply put,
if you treat others with love and respect, you will find that others
will generally love and respect you. If you serve others, you will
likely be served. Of course, this law also applies to negative
behaviors. If you are critical and judgmental, don't be surprised when
you are criticized and judged.

Many people don't believe in the boomerang principle because they fail
to view it with a long term perspective. In fact, the return for your
actions is seldom immediate. There is often a delay between your
actions and the rebounding consequences.

People also have trouble with this concept because they look for the
return to come from the same person to whom they gave something. It
doesn't usually work that way. You'll never know where the return will
be coming from -- or when it will arrive -- but it always comes.

It's really quite simple send it out and receive it back. So, if you
want to receive love....give love. If you want people to appreciate
you....show your appreciation for others. And if you want others to
help you, then lend a helping hand yourself.

You have the power to create the life you want. It all depends on how
you throw the boomerang!

Three Words for 2008

Aum Sairam

Three-Word Phrases, can be tools to help develop every relationship.

There are many things that you can do to strengthen your relationships.
Often the most effective thing you can do involves saying just three words.

When spoken sincerely, these statements often have the power to develop
new friendships, deepen old ones and even bring healing to
relationships that have soured.

The following three-word phrases can be tools to help develop every relationship.

Let Me Help:
Good friends see a need and then try to fill it. When they see a hurt
they do what they can to heal it. Without being asked, they jump in and
help out.

I Understand You:
People become closer and enjoy each other more when the other person
accepts and understands them. Letting your spouse know - in so many
little ways - that you understand them, is one of the most powerful
tools for healing your relationship. And this can apply to any relationship.

I Respect You:
Respect is another way of showing love. Respect demonstrates that
another person is a true equal. If you talk to your children as if they
were adults you will strengthen the bonds and become closer friends.
This applies to all interpersonal relationships.

I Miss You:
Perhaps more marriages could be saved and strengthened if couples
simply and sincerely said to each other "I miss you." This powerful
affirmation tells partners they are wanted, needed, desired and loved.
Consider how important you would feel, if you received an unexpected
phone call from your spouse in the middle of your workday, just to
say "I miss you."

Maybe You're Right:
This phrase is very effective in diffusing an argument. The implication
when you say "maybe you're right" is the humility of admitting, "maybe
I'm wrong". Let's face it. When you have an argument with someone, all
you normally do is solidify the other person's point of view. They, or
you, will not likely change their position and you run the risk of
seriously damaging the relationship between you. Saying "maybe you're
right" can open the door to explore the subject more. You may then have
the opportunity to express your view in a way that is understandable to
the other person.

Please Forgive Me:
Many broken relationships could be restored and healed if people would
admit their mistakes and ask for forgiveness. All of us are vulnerable
to faults, foibles and failures. A man should never be ashamed to own
up that he has been in the wrong, which is saying, in other words, that
he is wiser today than he was yesterday.

I Thank You:
Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the
companionship of good, close friends are those who don't take daily
courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their
many ex-pressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle
of friends is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of gratitude.

Count On Me:
A friend is one who walks in when others walk out. Loyalty is an
essential ingredient for true friendship. It is the emotional glue that
bonds people. Those that are rich in their relationships tend to be
steady and true friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there
indicating "you can count on me."

'll Be There:
If you have ever had to call a friend in the middle of the night, to
take a sick child to hospital, or when your car has broken down some
miles from home, you will know how good it feels to hear the
phrase "I'll be there." Being there for another person is the greatest
gift we can give. When we are truly present for other people, important
things happen to them and us. We are renewed in love and friendship. We
are restored emotionally and spiritually. Being there is at the very
core of civility.

Go For It:
We are all unique individuals. Don't try to get your friends to conform
to your ideals. Support them in pursuing their interests, no matter how
far out they seem to you. God has given everyone dreams, dreams that
are unique to that person only. Support and encourage your friends to
follow their dreams. Tell them to "go for it."

I Love You:
Perhaps the most important three words that you can say. Telling
someone that you truly love them satisfies a person's deepest emotional
needs. The need to belong, to feel appreciated and to be wanted. Your
spouse, your children, your friends and you, all need to hear those
three little words: "I love you." Love is a choice. You can love even
when the feeling is gone.

One Reality

Aum Sairam

The peculiarity of Sri Sai Baba's darshan, as I found it, is that by
His darshan our thoughts are changed, the force of previous actions is
abated and gradually non-attachment of dispassion towards worldly
objects grows up. It is by the merit of actions in many past births
that such darshan is got, and if only you see Sai Baba, really all the
world becomes or assumes the form of Sai Baba. Wonderful is the power
of the touch of Guru's hand. The subtle-body consisting of thoughts and
desires, which cannot be burnt by the world dissolving fire, is
destroyed by the mere touch of the Guru's hand and the sins of many
past births are cleaned and washed away. Even then speech of those,
whose heads feel annoyed when they hear religious and Godly talks,
attain calmness. The seeing of Sri Sai Baba's handsome form, chokes our
throat with joy, makes the eyes overflowing with tears, and overwhelms
the heart with emotions. It awakens in us ' I am He [Brahman]'
consciousness, manifests the joy of self-realization, and dissolving
the distinction of I and Thou, then and there, makes us one with the Supreme.

How To Have Joy Out Of Life

Aum Sairam

I do not seek pleasure: pleasure makes a man sick!
I do not seek possessions: possessions possess the possessor!
I do not seek power: power makes a man corrupt!
I do but yearn for Thee, Oh Lord!

So bless me that everyday of my life may rise as an offering unto Thee!
Mayst Thou be my Unseen Companion in all my ways of living!!!

These are very powerful words of prayer. What is more desireble than
being adorned at the holy feet of the lord. That gives the power to be
able to control ones vices, and pleasure to know that God has honoured
us in his court and thus that power of gaining his acceptance makes us
always to act in our noblest way to be kept in His durbar.

Sai The Time Machine

Aum Sairam

Oh Sai, I am so fortunate, that come under your grace, you're the
Parabrahma and to you , rishis did the most difficult tapas. I am so
fortunate, that you were among us in flesh and blood. Having come under
your grace, I have no other desire in mind.

You are the other form of Time. The kingpin of that wheel of time is
you. The Brahman. The wheel is made of up many parts. The spokes in the
wheel are 12 in number, which are the months. The wheel has 365 days
and its pins is made of six seasons. Its edges is decorated with
millions of teeth which are the moments. The rim itself is made up of
four pieces each representing 3 months.

The speed of this wheel is terrific and it waits for non nor can one
stand its power.

The entire world is tied to it and rolls with it helplessly. In this
mad rush, I think myself, my wife, my children, and the gratification
of desires. I have no time to think of you. Cause I am rotating
aimlessly caught in the wheel of time. Life ends so soon, and the time
is wasted because I have not achieved anything till now.

I am alas one of the many who want something worldly, out of you, and
you like a loving mother, gave me or granted me, non attachment to the
objects of the world. you make me more efficient enough to perform
dispassionately the duties imposed on me by karma's, and also by you
to reduce the burden of my karma's. And you take me to the goal of
salvation, even tough I cry like a child that I will not accompany you,
like a child who cries for the goodies, though the child does not know
that goodies are not good for his health. You drag me to the path of
salvation, knowing that time is limited for me to work out my karma's
and progress towards salvation. I am attracted to the material things
like the child but you like the mother drag me. So that I do not miss
the time, as time does not wait for any one, and I as a child is not
aware of it, and as a child I am attracted to the goodies [temporal
world], Thank you Sai for Dragging me.

So Sai you being the time, know the real value of time and the
preciousness of time, you make it possible for me to abandon in this
world and ride the path shown by you, which is the path of liberation
and salvation, but the hitch is that you show the road only to those
who surrender to you, without any questions and have complete faith and
trust in you.

Oh Sai, my past is finished, knowingly or unknowingly, I have done lots
of sins and karma's, I was not aware of the pitfalls, I lived in the
present enjoining my senses, never taught of the future or the past of
the karma's. I have never learnt from the past time. The future time
is not here. I have no plan for the future, but I have to plan, but
will not worry about it, I will not worry about the past time which I
lost in redetermining my karma's, nor will I worry about my future,
Cause I am 100 per cent sure that you will guide me through the wheel
of time, cause you are the time yourself, so when I came to your
shelter, I need not worry, and you will ensure that I will not stray
and stick to the path. I am happy that I am under your care, and you
will not fail me.

I request you to guide me every moment, so that I do not stray and I
reach the goal, that is you, you are the past, the present and the
future, you know my past, so please guide me through the present, so
that I burn my karma's, with your help, so that in future, I reach
the goal of my soul, that is merger in you.

Oh Sai, the time machine, Reality is the present, Dwelling in the past
or future causes pain or illness. Patience can stop time and your love
is everything.

All is love, All is love, with love and understanding comes patience
and time stops, and everything is now. That is you, There is no time
and it is only you.

Too Soon To Quit

Aum Sairam

Happy Baba's Day

When you've given a task all the effort you can and obstacles mount
which alter your plan, human nature advises you just to retreat, to
simply give up and face your defeat.

But through your despair you must never omit a belief that it's always
too soon to quit. So close you came in years gone by to achieving
success in the endeavors you tried.

But the nearer you came to reaching the top impatience won out and you
chose to stop. Had you only continued you soon would have known the
rewards of reaping what you had sown.

With age comes wisdom and the vision to see that you simply must truly
persist to succeed. Through faith you discover that hope is not dead,
what you long for awaits you straight up ahead.

And the lesson you learned was hard to admit, forever and always it's
too soon to quit.

Choice on Baba's Day

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success,
Happiness And Joy

Man is endowed with choices in life. But when it comes to God, man has
no choice. God takes over the life and runs man's life as God deems it
fit to be run. God bestows man with experiences that is required for
the spiritual enhancement. It is not our choice to come into this bond
of Sri Sai's love. He has deemed fit to bring us together. It is His
choice. When man makes a decision it is bound to fail, but Gods choice
has no room for failure. We are in business of love, faith and
devotion. WE make profit by multiplying these. So let us give liberally
to God and He in turn surrounds us with them in multiples of 100 times.
The ease in life in getting things done, the unexpected help, the
happiness are His grace. What we give comes back. So give abundantly,
give with faith and give with awe as Sri Sai give it with humility and
humbleness. When we need them most, god surrounds us with these
qualities in abundance in our life. Let us invest on this Thursday
[Baba's Day] in our future and make relationship now. GOD IS WHERE LOVE
IS. May each of you be enveloped in the love and protection of Sri Sai.
May His grace be on all of us and our beloved ones.

Good Thoughts on Thursday

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success,
Happiness And Joy

It is interesting to note, how Sri Sai Baba encouraged good thoughts.
You have to surrender yourself completely to Him with love, and
devotion, and then, you will see, how He helps you, off and on, in so
many things. Some saint has said that, when you get a good thought,
immediately after awakening from sleep, and if you develop the same
afterward, during the day, your intellect will be unfolded and your
mind will attain calmness. Shri Hemadpant wanted to try this.

On one Wednesday night, before going to bed, he thought : "Tomorrow is
Thursday an auspicious day and the place, viz., Shirdi is so holy; so
let me pass the whole day in remembering and celebrating the Ram Nam",
and then he slept. Next morning, when he got up, he remembered, without
any effort, the name of Ram and was much pleased. He then, after
finishing his morning duties, went to see Sri Sai Baba with flowers.
When he left Dixit Wada, and was just passing Butti Wada [present
Samadhi Mandir] he heard a beautiful song, that was being sung nicely
by one Aurangabadkar, in the Masjid, before Sri Sai Baba.

The song was "Guru-kripanjan payo mere bhai", in which he says that, he
got collyrium in the form of his Guru's grace, which opened his vision
and made him see Ram, in and out, in sleep, dream, and waking state and
everywhere. There were so many songs; but why was this song,
particularly chosen by Aurangabadkar. Is this not a curious coincidence
arranged by Sri Sai Baba to amplify the determination of Shri Hemadpant
to sung unceasingly Ram Nam during the day.

All saints agree on and lay stress upon the efficacy of uttering Shree
Ram's name, in fulfilling the ambitions of the Bhaktas and in
protecting and saving them from all calamities.

Knowledge To Detachment

Aum Sairam

It is often understood that viveka or the knowledge is the instrument,
which breaks open many doubts in a human. Petals of doubts blossom
automatically when the rays of viveka touches thesepetals. vairagya is
nothing but the detachment comes to a human one who realizes the
reality of life. Not all know that there exists an element of viveka in
one's self but when surrendered to a Guru, this viveka tries to grow
and enables one to understand the existence of some super power that
creates, protects and even destroys. Knowledge is not always taught but
it is built in every individual

The Lord is a professional chartered accountant who balances the books
of account of this world. When there is truth, there should be a false
or a lie. When there is a sun, there should be a moon and when there is
good, there should be bad. Likewise when there is viveka there should
be vairagya because viveka or the knowledge is the engine that is
followed by a compartment of detachment. When attached to the viveka,
the detachment or the vairagya is understood.
We should surrender at the Lotus Feet of the Sai with this viveka so
that may He bestow us the vairagya, the detachment from the
materialistic world so that we always remember Him and His glories.

Mind Control

Aum Sairam

Most people are enslaved by their thoughts. It does not occur to us
that we can become free from their grasp. From the moment we wake up
in the morning to the moment we fall asleep at night, this chatter of
the mind continues incessantly. The habit of thinking is very deeply
ingrained in the human race. Yet, this habit can be undone.

To change or stop a habit we have to act consciously in the opposite
direction. Whatever new skill we develop, we have to work at it until
it turns into second nature, and becomes easy to perform. The same is
with mind control.

When one is really free from thoughts they become free from their mind
as both are one and the same thing. One comes to see and understand the
illusiveness of the mind.

When the clouds hide the sun, the sun is still there, beyond the
clouds. Our Essence, our inner Self, is always here. We only need to
remove the sheets and covers that envelope it in order to experience
peace and calmness. These sheets and covers are our thoughts, ideas,
habits and beliefs. I do not mean to tell you that you have to stop
using your mind. You need it in order carry on your life. I mean that
it has to be under the control of the Self. It should be your servant
to serve you right, and not your master.

Passion

Aum Sairam

I want to live.
Just wholehearted, fresh-baked, overflowing life.

I want to live on purpose.
Just on-target, death-defying, carpe diem courage.

I want to live in connection.
Just bone-deep, life-affirming, stream-fed intuition.

I want to live with joy.
Just awe-filled, enthusiastic, openhearted passion.

I want to live
on purpose, in connection, with joy.
I want to live
filled with courage, guided by intuition, centered in passion.

May you be filled with goodness, peace, and joy.

Rs 100-crore gift to Shirdi shrine

Pune/Shirdi: A Chennai-based information technology industrialist has promised to donate Rs 100 crore to the Sai Baba temple trust in Shirdi.

Sources in the cash-rich temple trust said it was the biggest ever donation in its history.

KV Ramani, the CMD of Future Software, will be donating the money to the Shri Saibaba Sansthan for the construction of a Bhakta Niwas, a residential complex for devotees on January 10.

Ramani was not available for comment but the chairperson of the trust, Jayant Sasane, confirmed the donation. Sasane said negotiations between trustees and Ramani had been on for almost a year. The residential complex will come up on 14 acres of land owned by the trust.

Ramani, a great devotee of the Sai Baba, has asked the trust to reserve 10 per cent of the total number of rooms in the complex for poor devotees and give out 30 per cent at concession rates.

Sasane said 15,000 devotees could be accommodated in the facility. The foundation stone will be laid on January 10. Construction is expected to be complete within a year and a half.

Ramani set up the Shirdi Sai Trust with Rs 250 crore that he had in his kitty. His trust has been spending Rs 20 crore every year for social causes and for construction of Sai Baba temples at various places.

Sources in Shri Saibaba Sansthan said Ramani believes he owes his wealth to Sai Baba and he has to donate it to him. The sansthan, controlled by the Maharashtra government, has an annual turnover of around Rs 200 crore.
