Trotakacharya's Guru Bhakti towards Guru Adi Sankaracharya!

Aum Sai Ram.

The chanting of the holy Vedas filled the morning air,
As Mother Nature was waking up Her children fair and square,
The Ashram of Adi Shankara was filled with peace incomparable,
As each & everyone of the disciples were doing penance of something laudable.

They were sincere seekers of the highest wisdom - The Vedanta!,
Which uses the mind and intellect to cut through the veils of Maya,
Adi Shankara, the greatest Teacher of Mankind was sitting in peace,
Watching His disciples go about doing their duty religiously.

In all this there was but one disciple, who was least interested in Scholarship,
His name was Trotakacharya, who was a congenital dullard,
But He loved His Acharya with all His life, willing to do anything,
While all the other disciples of Shankara, made an effort to excel.

In mastering the various branches of the ancient Vedas,
Trotakacharya was happy to serve His beloved Master with all his heart,
He was untiring in his service to His Master, come rain or sunshine,
Once when Shankara was to begin expounding the loftiest ideals of Vedanta.

He waited on the dullard Trotakacharya to come and join in,
This act of the Acharya, amused the other disciples of His,
As they began to insist, to begin without wasting no time of His,
Seeing the haughtiness of his disciples, riding on their intellectual might.

Adi Shankara decided to teach them a fitting lesson in humility,
He lovingly called out, "Trotaka! Where are you?"
And within moments, hearing the voice of the Master,
Trotakacharya came rushing as if God Himself had called Him.

"Speak!" said the great Acharya to Trotaka,
Without least hesitation or getting anxious of his inherent inabilities,
Trotakacharya sang the gist of the entire Vedas in a song instead,
All the jaws dropped and eyes bulged out in sheer disbelief.

When they saw the dumb Trotaka sing the Vedas, instead of speech,
They fell at the feet of the Acharya, who was the embodiment of Siva,
He smiled in compassion and said, "Trotakacharya is the gem of Shankara;
because He knows how to serve his Acharya".

Almost everyone sits at the feet of the Blessed Guru,
Till they imbibe his wisdom and then become Gurus in their own right,
But very few serve at the feet of the Guru till the very end,
Knowing it in their hearts, that this service leads to incomparable bliss.

What is the use of Scholarship, when it swells your head with pride,
True learning is when your heart expands and embraces all as one,
And most importantly, never forget this, that,
One look of the Guru, is enough to make the dumb speak.

Bhairava.

Aum Sai Ram.

The lone Bhairava, waits patiently for His Bhairavi,
In the jungle of life, that's seething with fire perennially.

His eyes are closed, yet His mind is affixed on His Bhairavi,
He sits there in front of his dhuni, sitting animatedly.

The mind of the Bhairava, is a strange one indeed,
Never attached on anyone or on anything unnaturally.

Yet He craves for his Bhairavi, so He can experience,
The Oneness of spirit, which has evaded him since eternity.

Both Bhairava & Bhairavi are incomplete, without each other's company,
But when they finally come together in Mind, Body and Spirit.

That's when they shall experience the true nature of opposites,
Which is the oneness of Siva & Shakti...

When the darkness of ignorance,
Is shred by the light of Shiva.

In that very moment of time,
A mighty Bhairava is born!

Why Tulasi is not offered to Lord Ganesha?

Aum Sai Ram.

In majority of the regions Tulsi leaves are not offered to Ganesha. But in some regions Tulsi is offered during Ganesh Chaturthi Puja. There is a story which narrates why Tulsi is not offered to Ganapati. This story happened before Tulsi became a holy plant on earth. Legend has it Tulsi was a beautiful maiden and she was once visiting various Teerths (sacred places) chanting the name of Narayana.

Once she happened to see Young Ganesh meditating on the banks of Ganga. She was attracted by him.

Devi Tulsi tried various means to get the attention of Ganesha.

Ganesha who was disturbed by Devi Tulsi tried to find out the reason for her behavior. He also tried to make understand that it is not good to disturb a person who is meditating.

Devi Tulsi then requested him to marry her. But Ganesha told he was not interested in marriage. She tried several times giving various reasons. Ganeshji was not impressed and continued to ignore her. Finally, He advised her to marry someone else.

This angered Devi Tulsi and cursed Ganesha that he will surely get married in future.

For disturbing his meditation and cursing Him, Ganesha cursed her to live in the home of demons and to become a plant.

Devi Tulsi then requested Ganesha to forgive her as she was under the influence of senses. Ganesha relented and told her that she will become the favorite plant of Krishna on earth.

Tulsi later was married to demon Shankachuda. She later became the Tulsi Plant.

It is due to this incident that Tulsi is not offered to Ganesha.

Sadashiva Brahmendra Swami of Nerur

Aum Sai Ram.

A young boy born to poor parents in the mid 17th and 18th century AD showed uncommon traits of future greatness. His father passed away at an early age leaving the family to fend for themselves.

The young boy was put in Gurukula To study the Arts and Science of those times. As usual, prodigies find it too boring to study. So He began to explore the inner mysteries instead While the other students excelled in Math and Music.

He was happy to discover the hidden treasures of the Self. In time, his mastery over Time & Space multiplied exponentially Leaving others spell bound. Despite his best efforts to conceal it he began manifesting many things out of thin air Transporting himself to distant places through air instantly.

He could communicate with various entities Be it living or dead with no formalities. He loved chirping away like the free birds So he would keep talking as if there was no end to it. His school teacher saw all this and advised him to leave.

In search of a Master who will further hone his skills he took it his heart and went to the holy place of Kanchi,
Where the then Shankaracharya of Kamakoti saw his abnormal abilities suggested him to take part in the activities of the Ashram's upkeep.

He did every task assigned to him with utmost humility, But his paranormal powers manifested defying all rationality.  once when the Ashram was visited by Vedic Scholars for a debate, The young Sanyasi beat their wits off with his innate yogic ability.

His Guru seeing all this, reprimanded the young novice, saying, "Sadasiva! When will you be quiet?" The young man instantly replied, "From now on Master!" And He embraced silence for the rest of his life thereon. He traveled far and wide; and wherever He went, All the powers of the Universe traveled with him in all humility.

He was the great Sadashiva Brahmendra Swami of Nerur, Who was a Master of all the elements and a Master of Self.

Like the great silent God Dakshinamurthy himself, To Him I bow down in all humility.

Make a conscious Effort to see the good qualities of the person.

Aum Sai Ram.

A long time ago in China, a girl named Li-Li got married and went to live with her husband and mother-in-law.

In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn’t get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by many of her mother-in-law’s habits. In addition, she criticized Li-Li constantly.

Days passed days, and weeks passed weeks. Li-Li and her mother-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even worse was that, according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing the poor husband great distress.

Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-law’s bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it.

Li-Li went to see her father’s good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison so that she could solve the problem once and for all. Mr. Huang thought for a while, and finally said, “Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you.”

Li-Li said, “Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do.” Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs.

He told Li-Li, “You can’t use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious. Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now, in order to make sure that nobody suspects you when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. Don’t argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen.”

Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law.

Weeks went by, months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr. Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother. After six months had passed, the whole household had changed.

Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn’t had an argument in six months with her mother-in-law, who now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with.

The mother-in-law’s attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in-law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter.

Li-Li’s husband was very happy to see what was happening.

One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help again. She said, “Mr. Huang, please help me to stop the poison from killing my mother-in-law! She’s changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her.”

Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. “Li-Li, there’s nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her.”

Moral: Make a conscious Effort to see the good qualities of the person in relationships. Act it out, if necessary and gradually and surely let time heal relationships

Let’s start making amends.

To parents
To siblings
To friends
And many more.

Shiva Shakti Form in a Human Being

Aum Sai Ram.

There is a Feminine side to every Man,
And a Masculine side to every Woman.

But to retain our Defined Identity,
We prefer to stick around with what we know,

Forgetting the other side of our Identity.

Inner balance will be accomplished,
Only when we respect and acknowledge,
The other side of our personality.

Act of Cooking is a kind of Spiritual Attunement.

Aum Sai Ram.

Today I prepared Sambar and Rice for lunch. The very act of cooking, is a kind of Spiritual Attunement for me.

~ Washing Vegetables clean, reminds me to keep myself clean, within and without.

~ Chopping the veggies, reminds me to keep my mind sharp and focused.

~ The very act of lighting the cook top, prompts me to light my inner fire; because without the fire, you can't cook.

~ Pressure cooking the pulses, tells me of the pressures of life; for it's designed to make me gentle, mushy and compassionate.

~ Adding the different condiments to it, tells me there are many flavors, one can include in life; without which, it will be kinda incomplete.

~ Stir it now and then, so the broth won't stick to the bottom of the vessel; so does life stirs you, once a while, so you don't get stuck to the bottom of it.

~ Finally add the right amount of salt; because a pinch more of it, shall ruin it. So too with happiness or sadness; where a pinch extra will ruin you.

~ A good cook, never forgets to taste his dishes now and then, so to check if everything's alright. So too keep a reality check of your head and heart, every now and then, so you don't stick your head in the clouds and drown your heart in sorrows.

~ In time when the dish is complete, it's best shared with others, piping hot, to fully enjoy it.

~ Finally, clean the mess you have created, for no one will do it for you, in reality.

"Mercury Ball" of the Siddhas.

Aum Sai Ram.

A friend asked for further information on the purified and solidified "Mercury Ball" of the Siddhas.

Well, to begin with, I ain't an authority on it, so I can't enumerate the specifics of it. What little I know, I can share, and that's about it.

"It is called Rasavidya - The science of making gold through Mercury. An ancient science that was perfected by Indians. The Europeans took the Science with them and it was called Alchemy.

Mercury as a metal is a volatile metal. As it moves, it was considered to have life. And it was also called "The seed of Shiva". To transform it into a stable metal, is almost impossible, even for today's smartest minds.

However the Tamil Siddhas, devised a way of purifying it through a rigorous multi step-by-step procedure, by adding to it various herbs and salts and then finally lighting it with sacred fire. All the impurities used to dissolve through this procedure and what was left behind, was pure solidified Mercury.

When correctly done, the molecules of this volatile metal, fuse together to form a stable metal.

Pure solidified Mercury is considered highly medicinal as it aids regeneration of cells. There are many ancient spiritual practices, which uses Mercury, to deepen one's Meditation. But a word of caution, do not but anything that is sold in the market because, if not done by proper methods, it can be highly poisonous and dangerous.

In our ancient texts, it is said, that Mercury or Parad, is higher than any other metal, as it vibrates to the resonance of Lord Shiva himself. So to possess it and keep it and worship it, is an act of worshiping Shiva himself..."

Rasa Vidya or Alchemy as it's called in European countries, originated in India; especially the South of India. The ancient Siddhas, knew how to turn Quick Silver, as it's called else where, into solid for physio-spiritual purposes.

Mercury (Hg) is a highly toxic metal, which can eat into Gold also. Although used in the processing of Gold, it manifests many physical diseases to ones who handle it. Hence it is banned in many gold mining countries.

The Siddhas discovered ways to remove it's toxicity by introducing the raw Mercury to many herbal mixtures and minerals from nature, thereby nullifying it's inherent toxicity. Just like Snake venom, when introduced inside a horse, produces anti-venom Serum; like wise, the poisonous metal, becomes an elixir of life when it goes through these purifying steps.

This is a lost science and is not recognized by modern Chemistry. It is highly spiritual in nature and requires special skill set and precautions to bring out the finished product. Mercury is a liquid metal and it moves as if it has a mind of it's own. To bind it requires high will and skill of mind.

When the one who handles Mercury, has his mind wavering just like it; he painstakingly begins the process of solidifying it, by a step-by-step process of removing all the impurities from it. As he does this external act, his internal mind too acquires the same quality of Mercury. When this time consuming process comes to an end, his mind too becomes solidified like Mercury and becomes still and stationery. This is the hidden spiritual purport of it.

No one will teach you this vidya; as firstly, many of it is lost in time. Even if they know it, it will be the most guarded secret, and they will safe guard it with their very life. The Mercury (lingas etc.) products which are available in the market are nothing but sham; for the purest ones, are available only in the deeper forest regions of South India and up North at Gharwal; which are given away for free to the deserving ones, or they come with a hefty price tag even for a single gram.

When I met the old couple who possessed this rare metal, which was handed down to them, from their ancestors, they said a wonderful thing. They said, "Rasamani Vidya is not for everyone to know. When the deserving candidate has purified his own mind, to a high degree, this forgotten vidya, will be revealed to him/her by the Siddhas themselves or He will get a Gutika to benefit and safe keep." I agree!

I leave it at that, else the Siddha Masters, might get upset for revealing too much of it.

~ Pure Rasamani Shiva Linga at the Yogi Siddhanath Ashram in Pune ~

Who is Shiva, but the static aspect of Shakti,
Who is Shakti, but the moving aspect of Shiva,
See that's why they call Mercury an amalgamation,
Of both Shiva and Shakti.

Parad Shivling at Harihar Ashram in Kankhal near Haridwar.
This holy Shivling is made from 151 kg of pure Mercury.

Why is ghee lamp preferred to oil lamp during puja ritual?

Aum Sai Ram.

Namaskar! We heartily welcome you all for this Satsang (spiritual meet)! Before we commence this Satsang let us pay obeisance at the Holy feet of Sadguru (spiritual master) so that by His grace the very objective of this Satsang is fulfilled. Please pay mental obeisance to your personal icon of faith and recite as follows:

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्‍णु गुरुर्देवो महेश्‍वर: ।
गुरु साक्षात्‌ परब्रह्म तस्‍मै श्री गुरवे नम: ।।

Worship of a deity is a subject of faith for all of us. We build a temple room in our house and decorate it well. We also keep the images or idols of the deities we like and perform daily puja (ritualistic worship). We purchase the articles of puja according to our capacity. We are also quite familiar with such articles like kalash (a water vessel generally of metal), shankh (conch), a copper plate, a copper vessel, a small spoon, a lamp etc. Every article of puja has its own significance. Let us understand the significance of an important article of puja that is lamp.

Importance of lamp in Hindu Dharma

The lamp has its own special place in Sanatan Vaidik Hindu Dharma. It is a form and a symbol of Tēj (Absolute fire principle). The lamp is invoked as, ‘तमसो मा ज्‍योतिर्गमय ।’ meaning the lamp leads us from darkness towards light. It burns only to give the message of peace and light to man. That is its greatness. In this Satsang we shall try to understand what the scriptures have to say about the lamp. Amongst the articles of pūjā the lamp is an important article. The following mantra which is recited during the ritual of puja explains its significance.

    भोदीपब्रह्मरूपस्‍त्‍वं ज्‍योतिषांप्रभुरव्‍यय: ।।
    आरोग्‍यंदेहिपुत्रांश्‍चमत:शांतिं प्रयच्छमे ।।

Meaning: O Deity of lamp, you are of the form of Bramhan (the absolute truth). You are full of radiance. You never wither. Please bestow me health and good progeny and please fulfill my wishes.

Characteristics of Oil and Ghee Lamps

Agni Purāna clearly states that only oil or Ghee (clarified butter) be used in the lamp meant for pūjā and no other combustible substance.

According to the Science of spirituality the lamp with clarified butter is more sāttvik (spiritually pure) as compared to lamp in which oil is used. This is an important aspect which we will try to understand in details. So let us see the difference between the the lamp in which Ghee is used and the one with oil.

Generally the use of oil is more prevalent than that of Ghee. The oil containing lamp kindles longer while the ghee containing lamp kindles for a short period. Now let us see the difference from the spiritual view point.

1. Ghee lamp has more capacity to attract the sāttvik vibrations present in the surrounding atmosphere as compared to oil lamp.

2. The oil lamp can attract the sāttvik vibrations spread over a maximum distance of 1 meter while the ghee lamp can attract sāttvik vibrations spread over till Swarga lok (heaven)

3. When the oil or ghee gets exhausted or the lamp stops burning for some other reason then both the oil and ghee lamps are affected at spiritual level to some extent.

4. When the oil lamp stops burning the predominance of Raja particles in the atmosphere is enhanced and lasts for half an hour. On the other hand when the ghee lamp stops burning the impact of sāttviktā (the quality of being sāttvik) on the atmosphere is experienced even after four hours.

Now let us see the characteristics of kindled lamps containing oil and ghee from spiritual angle with the help of a subtle drawing. Here we have to take into consideration the fact that while the vibrations of a subtle drawing are three dimensional we see them in the subtle drawing in a two dimensional form. For example the sphere will appear as a circle. Now let us look at the subtle drawing:

The yellow coloured circles seen in this drawing emit divine consciousness (chaitanya) in the atmosphere. The red coloured circles are of radiant energy. The burning flame is emitting frequencies full of Tej tattva (absolute fire principle) in the atmosphere. The red particles which you see here are the emitted particles of energy. So you have seen in this drawing how a oil lamp emits energy in the atmosphere. Now let us observe the subtle drawing of ghee lamp. The blue colour just besides the flame is indicative of spiritual emotion (bhav). The yellow circles which you see here are of chaitanya in the form of Tej tattva projecting in the atmosphere. You can also see the red particles and rays consisting of energy projecting into atmosphere.

Effect on the worshipper as per Kundalini Yog

Now let us see the effect of both types of lamp on the worshipper.

1. The oil lamp generates a subtle armour of inferior quality around the worshipper while ghee lamp generates a subtle armour of superior quality.

2. The subtle frequencies emitted from the oil lamp activate the Mind-energy (Manashakti) of the worshipper whereas the subtle frequencies emanating from the ghee lamp activates soul energy of the worshipper.

According to yogic path of Kundalini Yog there are seven principle chakras or energy centers in the human being. These chakras influence practically every aspect of human being including physical body, mind and intellect. The oil lamp is effective in purification of Muladhar and Swadhishthan Chakra only to certain extent but the ghee lamp purifies Manipur and  Anahat chakras to a significant  extent.

Just as there are seven chakras in the human body, there are paths for the flow of vital energy (chetana). These are called as Nadis or channels. The three principle nadis are Chandra nadi (Moon channel), Surya nadi (Sun channel) and Sushumna nadi.

When Chandra nadi is active the person perceives coolness. The activation of Surya nadi imparts energy to the person.

The Sushumna nadi is activated when the person starts progressing spiritually. The oil lamp activates the Surya nadi of the person while ghee lamp activates only that nadi which is essential to the worshipper in a particular action.

Effect on the subtle sheaths of the worshipper

According to the science of spirituality the body which is visible to our eyes is called Annamaya Kosha or food sheath. Besides this there are four other Koshas namely Pranmaya Kosha or vital air sheath, Manomaya Kosha or the mental sheath, Vidnyanmaya Kosha or sheath of intellect and Anandmaya Kosha or bliss sheath. The Pranmaya kosha  is a seat for the Pancha pranas (five vital air elements) which provides energy to the gross body. The second Manomaya kosha is the seat of emotions. The third Vidnyanmaya Kosha is the seat of intellect and the fourth Anandamaya Kosha is the seat of Soul which is of the nature of existence, consciousness and bliss (satchidananda). Even these subtle sheaths or koshas are affected by the oil or ghee lamps. The oil lamp imparts power to the raja particles in the Pranamaya kosha which makes the individual restless. The ghee lamp strengthens the sattva particles of Pranamaya kosha and Manomaya Kosha and as a result of this the jiva (individual, embodied soul) becomes peaceful, stable and happy.

Spiritual experience imparted by oil and ghee lamps

Now let us compare the spiritual experiences obtained due to oil and ghee lamps. But before that let us understand what we mean by Spiritual experience or Anubhuti.

We are used to appreciate this world through  the media of five sense organs namely nose, ears, eyes, tongue, skin , mind and intellect. This is known as experience.

But when we experience something without the participation of all these then it is known as spiritual experience. Now let us compare the spiritual experiences obtained due to oil and ghee lamps.

The oil lamp gives us spiritual experience of Pruthvi tattva (absolute earth element) and Aap tattva (absolute water element). For example if we get an experience of fragrance without the actual presence of an object which can impart such fragrance then it is a spiritual experience of Subtle fragrance or gandha.

The fragrance is related to Pruthvi tattva. The example of spiritual experience of Aap tattva is dwelling sweet taste in the mouth.

When we see subtle light or vision of a deity then it is an example of spiritual experience related to Tej tattva or absolute fire element. When we experience a feeling of touch without any external reason  then it is a spiritual experience related to Vayu tattva or absolute air element. The ghee lamp gives spiritual experience of Tej tatva and Vayu tattva to the worshipper.

Why only ghee prepared from cow's milk should be used?

Generally any oil lamp emits frequencies consisting of raja particles but the sesame oil emits some sattva frequencies also. Therefore the lamp with sesame oil is comparatively more sattvik.

However the ghee lamp emits the sattvik frequencies in  maximum amount compared to any oil lamp. Here we have to remember one thing that it is useful to use ghee prepared only from the cow’s milk in the lamp lit in front of Deity.

This is because in such ghee the Deities’ principles are already existent. Such a ghee which is dominant in sattva component emits luminous figures in the atmosphere. Such luminous figures are forms of Tej tattva or absolute fire element.

Thus even though the use of ghee is recommended because of its capacity to emit maximum sattva frequencies, we can use sesame oil lamp if the use of ghee is not possible because of financial restraints or otherwise.

Points to be considered while using a lamp

Now let us see the points to be noted while actually using a lamp.

1. Do not kindle an oil lamp with a ghee lamp and vice versa

2. Do not kindle one lamp with another similar lamp. For example if there are two niranjans (a type of lamp) in an arti platter then do not light one niranjan with another niranjan. Similarly do not light one pillar of lamps with another.

3. Sometimes while performing puja we unknowingly touch the lamp. We should immediately wash our hands then. This is because when we worship a deity the sattva component of the lamp increases. When we touch the lamp the raja-tama particles from our body enter the lamp by way of touch. This reduces the purity of the lamp.

The water has the property of encompassing everything. Anything which is offered to a deity through the medium of water reaches Him/Her faster. When we wash our hands we are one way dissolving our sins in the water. The spiritual practice of water is to assimilate in itself sins done by all. The extremely merciful Deities absolve us from our defects when we offer them at their feet through the medium of water.

Should electric bulbs be used instead of ghee lamps?

Now a days we see electric bulbs in use during the puja ritual instead of ghee lamp. What is the difference between two from the point of view of Spiritual science?

Some people may be finding it funny to worship a lamp of oil or ghee when the modern scientific era has offered us so much glitter by way of electrical bulbs. But our ancestors have given priority to the worship of lamp after profound experience and through the attitude of gratitude.

Let us now compare the electrical bulb and the lamp with ghee. The light emitted from the electrical bulb blinds our eyes while the gentle flame of ghee lamp reminds us of Atma-Jyoti or flame of soul.

The electrical bulb makes us extroverted and then the mind runs towards external objects. The ghee lamp makes us to look inwards. Thus we have seen the difference between the electrical bulb and ghee lamp. Now let us see the subtle drawing of an electrical bulb.

We can see here that via the medium of electrical current black frequencies are entering into the electrical bulb. These then activate frequencies dominant in tama component. The electrical bulb emits circles of tama component. In addition we can see that colliding black particles are emitted in the atmosphere.

Five wicks and single wick lamp

There are other varieties of the lamps also such as lamp with a single wick and lamp called niranjan wherein five wicks are used. The Niranjan with five wicks is symbolic of duality that is the manifest energy of a deity, whereas the lamp with a single wick attracts sattvik frequencies.

The lamp with five wicks attracts waves with destroyer property and dominant in raja component. The niranjan with five wicks denotes the relation of Panchpran (five vital air principles) with the Atmajyoti (flame of soul).

Niranjan is used for waving Pancharati. Every  single flame of niranjan is symbolic of Atmajyoti. Pancharti means invocation of God with the help of panchparanas.

While performing Pancharti we should have such a spiritual emotion that the Atmajyoti is kindled in me with the help of five panchaprans present in the body and I am performing the arti with such flame.

Why should a straight wick be used as compared to puffed up wick?

Now let us understand about straight wick and wick with one end puffed up (fulwat). During puja ritual a lamp is offered at various steps of the ritual according to purpose. For example performance of arti.

Two types of wicks are used in the lamp namely Puffed wick and straight wick. Nowadays a puffed wick is used in a ghee lamp or niranjan and used as lamp of worship. The wick is puffed up from below to offer it stability to stand in the center of niranjan. The puffed wick is used in a ghee lamp. This type of wick is relatively of recent origin.

The second type of wick which we all are familiar with is straight wick. Two straight wicks are joined together like a thread and used in a lamp. Not only there is difference between the two on a gross form but also on spiritual level.

1. The lower portion of the fulwat is puffed up while the straight wick is whole like a thread.

2. The fulwat is representative of various raja thoughts in the mind while straight wick is symbolic of detachment and also represents the thread which joins Panchaprans with Atamjyoti.

3. When a fulwat is kindled the inferior deities are attracted to it while the straight wick when kindled attracts principles of higher deities.

4. The frequencies emitted by the fulwat are of circular form while those emitted by straight wick are in the form of waves.

5. The colour of the divine consciousness emitted by the fulwat is reddish yellow while that emitted by straight wick is of yellow colour.

6. Sattvik earth frequencies get attracted towards fulwat while more sattvik frequencies moving in the upward direction are attracted towards straight wick.

7. The atmospheric frequencies get momentum due to fulwat while their momentum is slowed down by the use of straight wick.

8. An armour of Pruthvi (absolute earth element) and Aap tattva (absolute water element) is generated around the worshipper by use of fulwat while straight wick generates an armour of Tej tatva (absolute fire element) around the worshipper.

According to science of spirituality Tej tattva is more powerful than either Pruthvi tatva or Aap tattva. As a result the use of fulwat imparts heaviness to the physical body while the use of straight imparts cheerfulness to mind.

Thus we have seen the difference between the fulwat and straight wick and also why it is important to use straight wick.

What is the importance of Rangoli?

Aum Sai Ram.

The two aims of drawing rangoli are revelation of beauty and the acquisition of auspiciousness. The forms drawn in the rangoli are symbolic. A curved line produces a better effect of beauty than a straight one.

Usually it is women who draw rangoli. They do not require any devices such as a ruler, a thread, a brush, etc. to draw them. They freely move their fingers to create various shapes with ease.

Why rangoli is drawn?

When sweeping the floor or smearing with cow dung, subtle lines are created on it. These possess certain frequencies. As these lines are irregular, their vibrations too are irregular. These are harmful to the body, eyes and mind as well. To overcome these unfavourable frequencies if cones and auspicious symbols are drawn systematically with rangoli on the swept or smeared floor; the ill-effects of sweeping and smearing are overcome and favourable results are obtained.

Spiritual significance of rangoli

In Hindu Dharma, Rangoli is drawn during every festival, auspicious occasion, religious rituals, etc. All the festivals, auspicious occasions, rituals, etc. are associated with one of Deity principles. During these days, the Divine principle of a specific Deity is present in the atmosphere in a larger proportion on the day of the respective festival or is attracted to the venue where religious rituals of that Deity are being performed. In order to attract maximum Deity principle, rangolis that attract and transmit respective Deity principle are drawn so that everyone derives spiritual benefits from it.

According to a Principle in Spirituality that ‘word, touch, taste, form, smell and their energy co-exist,’ even if a small variation is made in the form and colour of the rangoli, its vibrations change. The booklet ‘Sattvik Rangolis’ illustrates various sattvik designs of rangolis which attract and transmit various Deity Principles such as – Deity Ganesh, Deity Rama, Deity Krushna, et. al.

The main feature of sattvik rangoli is that due to transmittance of Deity Principle, the devotees get various anubhutis (spiritual experiences) of Shakti (Divine Energy), Bhav (spiritual emotion), Chaitanya (Divine Consciousness), Anand (Bliss) and Shanti (Serenity).

why there are so many gods & goddesses in the Hindu Spirituality

Aum Sai Ram.

Every soul is aligned to a particular aspect of God - Head. That's why they say, there are 330 million Gods and Goddesses in the Hindu pantheon. The first step of Spirituality is to find out, with the help of Guru, which archetype you best vibrate with; later take the right efforts to manifest the ideals behind that particular idol.

Once there is no difference left between the idol and the ideal, you may safely move on, to the next step of spirituality - To discover the Formless Spirit!

Form or without form, it's the same Essence, Manifesting as Different Experiences. Every aspect has a unique characteristic attached to it. Once discovered, we imbibe that very essence of it - making us a part of it.

Say for example, the one who is dedicated towards acquiring Knowledge, is directed towards Saraswati.

so to use his inherent ability to achieve the end, in the form of Vidya.

For those who are attracted towards wealth, they were directed towards Lakshmi, so to fulfill their worldly desires and later directed ahead to the Spirit, without any undue distractions.

Such was the simple practicality of our ancient seers; to use what attracted you the most and use it to achieve total dis-attraction. Only after experiencing the beauty of form, could you then really appreciate the formless spirit.

The One became Two; then Two became Three and the Three became many. Spirituality is the reverse journey from many, back to The One!

Desires & Aspirations.

Aum Sai Ram.

A Mango tree is a full fledged Mango tree, a Dog is a full fledged Dog. So they have no "Desires" to be anything else.

ONLY humans aspire to be like someone else [a lot of us have role models and stuff] because they feel themselves [more likely have been made to feel] to be less than complete.

The whole rigamarole for humans, therefore, is to feel complete WITH ALL kinds of accessories.

It takes a whole life time [sometimes even that does not seem to suffice) to understand / know, that we have been created complete.

That ALL has been and IS being taken care of.

Language of the Heart

Aum Sai Ram.

In a large gathering, people speak many languages. Each person understands only their language, and wants that they should be spoken to in that language.

But there is a language of the heart, which all can understand and all would like to hear. That is the language which I speak, the language that goes from My heart to yours.

When heart speaks to heart, it is love that is transmitted without any reservation. Trials, turmoil and thrills - these are constant for all of mankind.

The responsive heart listens to these with sympathy and answers with love. Everyone is eager to be happy; everyone wants to work less and gain more, give little and get amply,

but no one experiments with the other method, that is, wanting less and giving more. Every want is a shackle that hinders movement, and is a drag on the foot.

Reduce wants. live simply, that is the way to happiness.

Power of Silence

Aum Sai Ram.

we use Verbal Language to Communicate ...

But do we Really??
People Utter / Write words [sounds]
and the Listeners / Readers make up their own meanings.

To really communicate we need Silence .
Silence is not absence of verbal words.
Silence is what happens within.

What is Sanyasa?

Aum Sai Ram.

I thought for a while, before I could write on Sanyas. "It is to go beyond indulgence, intelligence, attachment and repression to experience true freedom..."

~ Life was divided into four progressive stages by the ancient seers ~

Brahmacharya: (The Student Stage)
To seek undivided knowledge of (Brahman) Universe, by honing the powers of the mind and also to build a strong moral and spiritual foundation.

Grihasta: (The Householder Stage)
To use that acquired knowledge to make a living; raising and supporting a family; being a good parent, friend, worker and neighbor; they happily contributed to the society, by their efforts, knowledge and actions.

Vanaprastha: (The Forest Dweller Stage)
Weaning slowly of your material possessions and comforts, the couple lived partially detached from the society, introspecting their actions, so to make amends before they step into the next stage. They also acted as consultants and guides, to the newer generations to take on the mantle.

Sanyasa: (The Detached Stage)
Unlearning oneself from all the previous Ashramas, by abandoning the ways of the world and immersing in spiritual pursuits to achieve a higher state of being and purpose. This stage made them accept and embrace the whole Earth, as their family...[वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् Vasudhaiva Kuṭumbakam]

This ancient process produced fine individuals, who learned, worked, helped and finally gave away everything to the society at large.

Respect!

Jeeva Samadhi

Aum Sai Ram.

There are many secret places on the sacred Earth,
Which are more holier than all the temples built before.

No Idols to keep a watch, but living legends lying still,
These are the resting places of great realized souls.

Who have stilled their life force, even when alive,
Immersing themselves in the sea of cosmic bliss.

Keeping their bodies as testaments of power and grace,
They go into deep silence that's found only in themselves.

Dropping their bodies, yet keeping their consciousness alive,
So to bless the thousands for many more years to come.

The place where the power of spirit is still awake and alive,
Even after the body of the Yogi has left us long ago.

These places of power are called "Jeeva Samadhi".

Accept the Reality & Not the Reflection!

Aum Sai Ram.

A Monkey was attracted to the Moon,
It longed for it like a lover in a swoon.

Every night it hung itself in a branch,
And caressed the reflection of the Moon.

Treating it as if it was it's very own,
Time passed like this every night.

Till a night there was no moon in sight,
The Monkey longed for it's shiny beau.

And hung around the tree for a long time or so,
But no matter what it did, the elusive Moon,

Did not show it's face, to the one-sided lover.

The poor Monkey was heart broken by this gesture,
And remained hung on it's lover, till it's last breath got over...

~ We too sometimes behave like the Monkey; falling in love with the reflection and doing everything to possess it as our own. When we fail to, despite our best efforts, we turn heartbroken for the rest of our lives, or even more.

Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devi - The Divine Mother of Universe

Aum Sai Ram.

What is there left for me to say,
You smile like this all the way.

Be it rain, cold or sunshine,
You just keep testing me.

As if I have no say,
If you ain't testing me, then you are busy teasing.

Confident that I won't ever return the favor,
Thinking after all I am just a mortal.

Who can't even dream of enticing you,
But don't be so sure Mother Divine.

For I shall make your innocent husband,
An eternal captive of my heart.

Then you too shall have to come invariably,
And that's when I shall keep you both, Safely locked in my heart.

I don't know why but this pic reminds me of my beautiful Divine Mother Mookambikai. She comes to our aid when distressed. She showers us with so much love that she makes us feel that she wants our company more than we do. But, in reality, we are those souls who are blessed with her company even in this dark age of Kali.

Is there any way by which we can thank her? I know not. But there surely is one thing which I do know for sure. She, is here to stay.

Like a small child, a teenager, a mother, and a grandmother, various forms does she manifest into, only to be with us in the time of need. With her to accompany, I am sure the journey will be an interestingly fulfilling experience! Om Sreem Sarvashaktaye Devi Mahamayayai Namaha.

Somappa Swamigal of Thirukkoodal Malai.

Aum Sai Ram.

The Master is not easily recognizable,
For He prefers to roam around unnoticed.

Illusion is His hand maiden,
So He loves to fool everyone alike.

He appears to be a beggar to some,
Some He appears to be a mad man.

But only for a blessed few, He ALLOWS himself,
To be be recognized, through the eyes of love.

If you are one such blessed soul, know for sure,
Your life has become a testament of miracles all the more...

The Last Prophecy Of Peter Deunov

Aum Sai Ram.

The Master Peter Deunov (1864 - 1944) was a representative of the Great White Brotherhood, also known by some as the White Lodge, the Ascended Masters or Lightworkers, who guide the spiritual evolution of Humanity. Peter Deunov had over 40,000 disciples in Bulgaria before the Nazis and then the Communists persecuted them and drove them underground.

In the three decades between 1914 and 1944, Peter Deunov gave approximately 3,700 lectures on the wide ranging subjects of religion, music, geometry, astrology, philosophy and esoteric science.

Albert Einstein said of Peter Deunov (Beinsa Douno): “The whole world bows down before me; I bow down before the Master Peter Deunov from Bulgaria ”

According to Pavel Biryukov, a biographer of Count Leo N. Tolstoy, the great Russian thinker and writer left Yasna Polyana shortly before his death (1910) with the intention to travel to Bulgaria to meet Master Peter Deunov.

Cardinal Giuseppe Roncalli, an Ambassador of the Vatican to Bulgaria before the Second World War, elected as Pope John XXIII later on, said, 'In the present epoch the greatest philosopher living on the earth is Peter Deunov.'

Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Anthroposophy, said in a conversation with Boyan Boev (Munich, 1910): 'The Slavonic people are destined to have a great mission. They, and particularly Bulgaria, will contribute a good deal to the elevation of humankind. Return to Bulgaria, there is a powerful spiritual movement in Bulgaria, headed by a great spiritual Initiate.' After this conversation Boyan Boev became one of the closest disciples of Master Beinsa Douno.

Paramahansa Yogananda, when asked while visiting Greece about his intentions with regard to establishing an ashram in Bulgaria, declared, 'This is how far I can go, the Spirit of the Truth is active there'.

Jiddu Krishnamurti, leader of Theosophic movement refused to be declared Maitreya and Christ and told the participants of a World Theosophic Congress in the Netherlands that the World Master was in Bulgaria.

************************************************

The following is the last prophecy of Peter Deunov made shortly before his death.

"During the passage of time, the consciousness of man traversed a very long period of obscurity. This phase which the Hindus call "Kali Yuga", is on the verge of ending. We find ourselves today at the frontier between two epochs: that of Kali Yuga and that of the New Era that we are entering.

A gradual improvement is already occurring in the thoughts, sentiments and acts of humans, but everybody will soon be subjugated to divine Fire, that will purify and prepare them in regards to the New Era. Thus man will raise himself to a superior degree of consciousness, indispensable to his entrance to the New Life. That is what one understands by "Ascension".

Some decades will pass before this Fire will come, that will transform the world by bringing it a new moral. This immense wave comes from cosmic space and will inundate the entire earth. All those that attempt to oppose it will be carried off and transferred elsewhere. Although the inhabitants of this planet do not all find themselves at the same degree of evolution, the new wave will be felt by each one of us. And this transformation will not only touch the Earth, but the ensemble of the entire Cosmos.

The best and only thing that man can do now is to turn towards God and improve himself consciously, to elevate his vibratory level, so as to find himself in harmony with the powerful wave that will soon submerge him.

The Fire of which I speak, that accompanies the new conditions offered to our planet, will rejuvenate, purify, reconstruct everything: the matter will be refined, your hearts will be liberated from anguish, troubles, incertitude, and they will become luminous; everything will be improved, elevated; the thoughts, sentiments and negative acts will be consumed and destroyed.

Your present life is a slavery, a heavy prison. Understand your situation and liberate yourself from it. I tell you this: exit from your prison! It is really sorry to see so much misleading, so much suffering, so much incapacity to understand where one's true happiness lies.

Everything that is around you will soon collapse and disappear. Nothing will be left of this civilization nor its perversity; the entire earth will be shaken and no trace will be left of this erroneous culture that maintains men under the yoke of ignorance. Earthquakes are not only mechanical phenomen, their goal is also to awaken the intellect and the heart of humans, so that they liberate themselves from their errors and their follies and that they understand that they are not the only ones in the universe.

Our solar system is now traversing a region of the Cosmos where a constellation that was destroyed left its mark, its dust. This crossing of a contaminated space is a source of poisoning, not only for the inhabitants of the earth, but for all the inhabitants of the other planets of our galaxy. Only the suns are not affected by the influence of this hostile environment.

This region is called "the thirteenth zone"; one also calls it "the zone of contradictions". Our planet was enclosed in this region for thousands of years, but finally we are approaching the exit of this space of darkness and we are on the point of attaining a more spiritual region, where more evolved beings live.

The earth is now following an ascending movement and everyone should force themselves to harmonize with the currents of the ascension. Those who refuse to subjugate themselves to this orientation will lose the advantage of good conditions that are offered in the future to elevate themselves. They will remain behind in evolution and must wait tens of millions of years for the coming of a new ascending wave.

The earth, the solar system, the universe, all are being put in a new direction under the impulsion of Love. Most of you still consider Love as a derisory force, but in reality, it is the greatest of all forces! Money and power continue to be venerated as if the course of your life depended upon it. In the future, all will be subjugated to Love and all will serve it. But it is through suffering and difficulties that the consciousness of man will be awakened.

The terrible predictions of the prophet Daniel written in the bible relate to the epoch that is opening. There will be floods, hurricanes, gigantic fires and earthquakes that will sweep away everything. Blood will flow in abundance. There will be revolutions; terrible explosions will resound in numerous regions of the earth. There where there is earth, water will come, and there where there is water, earth will come.

God is Love; yet we are dealing here with a chastisement, a reply by Nature against the crimes perpetrated by man since the night of time against his Mother; the Earth.

After these sufferings, those that will be saved, the elite, will know the Golden Age, harmony and unlimited beauty. Thus keep your peace and your faith when the time comes for suffering and terror, because it is written that not a hair will fall from the head of the just. Don't be discouraged, simply follow your work of personal perfection.

You have no idea of the grandiose future that awaits you. A New Earth will soon see day. In a few decades the work will be less exacting, and each one will have the time to consecrate spiritual, intellectual and artistic activities. The question of rapport between man and woman will be finally resolved in harmony; each one having the possibility of following their aspirations. The relations of couples will be founded on reciprocal respect and esteem.

Humans will voyage through the different planes of space and breakthrough intergalactic space. They will study their functioning and will rapidly be able to know the Divine World, to fusion with the Head of the Universe.

The New Era is that of the sixth race. Your predestination is to prepare yourself for it, to welcome it and to live it. The sixth race will build itself around the idea of Fraternity. There will be no more conflicts of personal interests; the single aspiration of each one will be to conform himself to the Law of Love. The sixth race will be that of Love. A new continent will be formed for it. It will emerge from the Pacific, so that the Most High can finally establish His place on this planet.

The founders of this new civilization, I call them "Brothers of Humanity" or also "Children of Love" They will be unshakeable for the good and they will represent a new type of men. Men will form a family, as a large body, and each people will represent an organ in this body. In the new race, Love will manifest in such a perfect manner, that today's man can only have a very vague idea.

The earth will remain a terrain favourable to struggle, but the forces of darkness will retreat and the earth will be liberated from them. Humans seeing that there is no other path will engage themselves to the path of the New Life, that of salvation. In their senseless pride, some will, to the end hope to continue on earth a life that the Divine Order condemns, but each one will finish by understanding that the direction of the world doesn't belong to them.

A new culture will see the light of day, it will rest on three principal foundations: the elevation of woman, the elevation of the meek and humble, and the protection of the rights of man.

The light, the good, and justice will triumph; it is just a question of time. The religions should be purified. Each contains a particle of the Teaching of the Masters of Light, but obscured by the incessant supply of human deviation. All the believers will have to unite and to put themselves in agreement with one principal, that of placing Love as the base of all belief, whatever it may be. Love and Fraternity that is the common base!

The earth will soon be swept by extraordinary rapid waves of Cosmic Electricity. A few decades from now beings who are bad and lead others astray will not be able to support their intensity. They will thus be absorbed by Cosmic Fire that will consume the bad that they possess. Then they will repent because it is written that "each flesh shall glorify God". Our mother, the earth, will get rid of men that don't accept the New Life. She will reject them like damaged fruit. They will soon not be able to reincarnate on this planet; criminals included. Only those that possess Love in them will remain.

There is not any place on earth that is not dirtied with human or animal blood; she must therefore submit to a purification. And it is for this that certain continents will be immersed while others will surface.

Men do not suspect to what dangers they are menaced by. They continue to pursue futile objectives and to seek pleasure. On the contrary those of the sixth race will be conscious of the dignity of their role and respectful of each one's liberty. They will nourish themselves exclusively from products of the vegetal realm. Their ideas will have the power to circulate freely as the air and light of our days.

The words "If you are not born again." apply to the sixth race. Read Chapter 60 of Isaiah it relates to the coming of the sixth race the Race of Love.

After the Tribulations, men will cease to sin and will find again the path of virtue. The climate of our planet will be moderated everywhere and brutal variations will no longer exist. The air will once again become pure, the same for water.

The parasites will disappear. Men will remember their previous incarnations and they will feel the pleasure of noticing that they are finally liberated from their previous condition. In the same manner that one gets rid of the parasites and dead leaves on the vine, so act the evolved Beings to prepare men to serve the God of Love.

They give to them good conditions to grow and to develop themselves, and to those that want to listen to them, they say: "Do not be afraid! Still a little more time and everything will be all right; you are on the good path. May he that wants to enter in the New Culture study, consciously work and prepare."

Thanks to the idea of Fraternity, the earth will become a blessed place, and that will not wait. But before, great sufferings will be sent to awaken the consciousness. Sins accumulated for thousands of years must be redeemed. The ardent wave emanating from On High will contribute in liquidating the karma of peoples. The liberation can no longer be postponed. Humanity must prepare itself for great trials that are inescapable and are coming to bring an end to egoism.

Under the earth, something extraordinary is preparing itself. A revolution that is grandiose and completely inconceivable will manifest itself soon in nature. God has decided to redress the earth, and He will do it!

It is the end of an epoch; a new order will substitute the old, an order in which Love will reign on earth."

Master Peter Deunov

Aum Sai ram.

The Master Peter Deunov is one of our favorite Saints and is a major role model that inspires us in our life work. He was a representative of the Great White Brotherhood on Earth and had over 40,000 disciple in Bulgaria before the Nazis and then the Communists persecuted them and drove them underground.

Albert Einstein said of Peter Deunov (Beinsa Douno): “The whole world bows down before me; I bow down before the Master Peter Deunov from Bulgaria ”

The following are some of Peter Deunov's statements on LOVE.

"Love is the world in which the Divine Spirit lives.

The greatest world known to sages of all times, the world of which Christ speaks, is the world of Love. And when we say that God is Love, we understand that Love is the essence from which all things proceed.

All worlds, through all eternity, have come forth and shall come forth from the source of Love.
Everything in the world lives in Love and by Love.
Everything that we see - stellar systems, suns, planets - all are manifestations of Love.
The entire cosmos in its completeness, the whole physical world is Love, manifested and materialized.
This is the great "body of God".

Outside of Love, we do not know God. Love is connected with all living beings. There is not a living being - there is no living matter - that is not influenced in one way or another by Love, that is not closely connected with it.

God, who is Love, is not only outside us, in the universe, but within us also.
He is the living bond between all that is "without" and "within".
Love enfolds all within itself. Love in itself is infinite, and everything outside it is finite...

Go fearlessly down to the roots of Love.
Expand yourself among its branches.
Bloom as a flower of Love.
Become the fruit of Love.
And when you enter into the world where Love's fruits ripen, you will sing the song of him who has completed the great circle of Love - from roots to fruit.
Listen to that song:
"God is Love,
eternal, boundless,
full of life -
life of the gentle Divine Spirit,
the Spirit of sanctity,
the Spirit of charity,
the Spirit of complete peace and joy for every soul."
And you will hear the response of the loving souls:
"We shall walk on that path of Light,
within which reigns Divine Love."

Possesing Wisdom.

Aum Sai Ram.

A wise man, the wonder of his age,
Taught his disciples which left them in a daze.

He seemed to derive his words from a seemingly,
Inexhaustible store of wisdom of the bygone age.

But He attributed all his knowledge to a big book,
Which was kept in a place of honor in his home.

But the sage would never allow no one to open the volume,
When He died, his disciples, thinking themselves to be his rightful heirs,

Ran to open the book, anxious to possess what it contained.

They were surprised, confused and disappointed,
When they found out that there was writing only on the first page,
And the rest of the massive volume was blank all through the age.

Bewildered & frustrated they tried to at least read the near faded words,
What they found was to be the greatest wisdom of the ages.

It read, "WHEN YOU REALIZE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CONTAINER AND THE CONTENT, YOU WILL POSSESS WISDOM..."

RAMALINGA SWAMI (VALLALAR), KING OF THE SIDDHAS, MESSSENGER OF GRACE LIGHT

Aum Sai Ram.

Ramalinga Swami [Vallalar] was revealed by the Almighty as an embodiment son of God.

He came to uplift the whole of humanity towards perfect bliss without, Hunger, Disease, Thirst, Desire, Poverty, Fear, Disease, Decay to Death, with full self existent delight or bliss, through true knowledge, true love, true compassion accompanied by common wealth activities without disparities of dogmatic rituals pertaining to any religions, philosophies, caste, color, creed, clan, sex or nationality.

Meditation taught by Ramalinga Swami (Vallalar)

Imagine a circle, a sphere of golden light who is surrounding you.

She is the size of your arms open in the form of a cross.

You are inside this golden sphere.

She is nurturing you from her love, her softness, her light, her healing energy, let yourself dwell in her.

She is medicine if you open yourself to her and if you ask her.

From the golden sphere’s inner space inhale in your heart her light, her love, her healing energy.

Exhale and let the love and light from your heart fill the golden sphere.

Continue to breathe up to when you are one with love and golden light.

Another meditation given by Ramalinga.

From the third eyes look down into the spiritual heart space; just above the center of the chest.

Get in contact with a vibration of love, a warm sensation or other.

From this space let your heart speak and compose your own verses, prayers which express the Divine greatness and the Divine aspiration of your being.

Doing so, all being will profit from your felicity.

When you melt into Divine Light, tears will come from your eyes.

Those tears will purify your soul, body and spirit.

Doing so, you can attain Divine bliss.

When you enter the white light it is the manifestation of the third eye.

When you enter the golden light it is the manifestation of crown, the top of the head.

The Heart that Gives, Gathers!

Aum Sai Ram.

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone & asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation.

The traveler left, rejoicing his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.

“I’ve been thinking,” He said, “I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious: Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone.”

Learning: "The heart that gives, gathers..."

Real Meaning of Radha Krishna Love.

Aum Sai Ram.

The love of Radha and Krishna is symbolic of the eternal love affair between the devoted mortal and the Divine. Radha’s yearning for union with her beloved Krishna is the soul’s longing for spiritual awakening.

Every human being is constantly seeking a share of peace and happiness, and since one does not know the real source of these, one seeks them in the midst of sense objects. But when, in devotion, one comes to turn one’s entire attention towards the higher and the nobler, one experiences the Immortal, the Infinite – as intimately as one experienced the world and its changes before.

Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad Purana: “The mind that constantly contemplates the sense objects irresistibly comes to revel in their finite joys, and the mind that learns to constantly remember Me comes to dissolve into Me and revel in Me.”

Radha represents this state of devotion and consequent merging with the Lord.

To understand the relationship between Radha and Krishna, first we have to clear the worldly impurities from our mind, which is clogging our vision. Once these impurities are removed we will understand the true meaning of Raslila – the individual soul realizing that it is part of the universal soul, which is a continuity.

It is always Radha and Krishna together or simply Radhakrishna. Radha exists with Krishna; not without Krishna. Radha represents the individual soul and Krishna the universal soul. On a lower level, we say the individual soul merges with the universal soul.

In fact, Radha on seeing Krishna realizes that there is nothing called the individual soul and that she is Krishna.

What a sea of a difference exist between Krsna & Raam.

Aum Sai Ram.

What a sea of a difference exist between Krsna & Raam,
Although they both come from the same Source,
Both had a different view on life as never before.

If one was an ideal of patience and obedience,
The other was flirting with trouble with careless defiance.

If one was told not to do, He did as He was told to,
The other, no matter what he was told to do,
Did exactly the opposite and what He wanted to.

When one was born, it was early in the morn,
With birds and nature welcoming with a song,
While the other was born with a deep deafening roar,
With heavy rains and a thunderous furor.

The silent one was attached to none but one woman,
The other was like a magnet who attracted every woman.

Raam was the ideal husband a woman could ever have,
Whereas Krsna was like a suave & debonair Rockstar,
With whom every one, fell in hopeless love.

Whatever it is, both had a message for the common Man,
While one said, "Be true at all cost!",
The other one proclaimed, "Truth can also be a modified lie..."

Courage, Denial & Devotion

Aum Sai Ram.

Courage ::

When obstacles come in your way, face them with courage. They harden you and make you mentally tough. Suffering and misery are inescapable acts of the Cosmic drama. Sri Sai does not decree these calamities, but man invites them by way of retribution for his evil deeds. This is the corrective punishment meted out by nature, which induces man to give up the wrong path. All this is part of the grand synthesis in which the negatives serve to glorify the positives. Thus, death glorifies immortality, ignorance glorifies wisdom, misery glorifies bliss, night glorifies dawn.

Denial ::

Life becomes sweeter with a little dose of denial; if you satisfy all your desires, life begins to turn insipid. Deny yourselves many of the things your mind runs after and you will find that you become tough enough to bear both good fortune and bad.

Devotion ::

When the devotee feels that he is not close to God, the fault lies with the devotee. Repent for the errors that you have committed and resolve never to repeat them. Pray to the Lord to be able to carry out your duties and resolutions and to be able to improve your conduct. Devotion involves complete dedication without even a wisp of ego remaining. Devotion softens the mind and keeps it receptive to higher emotions and purifying impulses.
