Courage

Good timber does not grow with ease. The stronger the wind the stronger
the trees.

Half a man's wisdom goes with his courage.

Hard things are put in our way, not to stop us, but to call out our
courage and strength.

Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small
ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, to
sleep in peace. God is awake.

Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself.

Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but
instantly set about remedying them - every day begins the task anew.

He who fears being conquered is sure of defeat.

Health, happiness and success depend upon the fighting spirit of each person

The big thing is not what happens to us in life but what we do about
what happens to us.

Heart in champions has to do with the depth of your motivation and how
well your mind and body react to pressure.

I believe that anyone can conquer fear by doing the things he fears to do.

I do not wish to treat friendships daintily, but with the roughest
courage. When they are real, they are not glass threads or frost-work,
but the solidest thing we know.
