The role of the feelings is important in the small affairs of life and
in the major ones. People invest more time and energy in subjects that
they love and where their feelings and emotions are involved. Did you
notice that when you do something you love you feel less tired and may
even be unaware of the passing time, while if you do something that you
do not like doing, you feel that time is passing slowly and you get
bored and tired easily and quickly?
You have to exercise control over your feelings and emotions, and learn
to evoke them in the right quantity, when you need them to push and
motivate you, or when you visualize or affirm.
How do you evoke feelings and strengthen them?
1. By thinking about the benefits you would get if you perform a
certain action, visualize or affirm.
2. By daydreaming about the end-result.
3. By awakening the feelings you had experienced about something you
really wanted, desired, and attained in the past, and trying to
transfer these feelings to the task on hand.
Feelings and emotions are important factors when using affirmations and
creative visualization. They energize and put power into the
affirmations or visualizations. There is a very great difference
between desiring something mildly, without emotion, and desiring it strongly.
You can repeat an affirmation in an absent-minded fashion and visualize
something with lack of interest, or you can put a lot of feelings in
them. In the first case you do not generate any current, while in the
second case you invest, awaken and create a great current of energy.
Remember, there are two elements in any action, the mental and
emotional. They both have to be present in order to make things happen.
