Shirdi Diwali Deepotsav 2010

Aum Sai Ram

Shri Sai Baba always Lit a Diya (Oil Lamp) at Nanda-Deep (Lamp of Bliss, also known as Akhanda Deep - "perpetually burning lamp"). Later, Baba had instructed Abdul Baba to see that the lamp that which was originally lit by Baba, was always kept burning.

So every Diwali at Shirdi, devotees gather and Light Diyas (Oil Lamps) at Nanda-Deep.
And this year too, like every year, on the occasion of Diwali, devotees from various parts gathered and Lit around 700 Diyas around the Nanda-deep area. These Diyas (Oil Lamps) are lit continuously for a period of 5 days.
