SHIRDI
Blessed is Shirdi and blessed is Dwarkamai where Sri Sai Baba lived and moved until He took Mahasamadhi. Blessed are the people of Shirdi whom He obliged and for whom He came such long distance. Shirdi was a small village first, but it attained great importance, on account of His contact and became a Tirtha, holy place of pilgrimage. Equally blessed are the womenfolk of Shirdi, blessed is their whole and undivided faith in Him. They sang the glories of Sr Sai Baba while bathing, grinding, pounding corn and doing other house-hold work. Blessed is their love, for they sang sweet songs which calm and pacify the minds of the singers and listeners.
HOW HE MAKES US WRITE ABOUT HIM
The life of the saint is neither logical nor dialectical. It shows us the true and great path. The saints inspire the work; the devotee becomes only an indirect cause or instrument to achieve the end
WHO CAN DESCRIBE THE TRUE LIFE OF SRI SAI BABA
Sri Sai Baba’s grace alone can enable one to accomplish this difficult work. So, when I took up the pen in my hand, Sri Sai Baba took away my egoism and wrote Himself His stories while so many works regarding Sri Sai Baba are extant, why should this (Satcharitra) be written? And where is its necessity? The answer is plain and simple. The life of Sri Sai Baba is as wide and deep as the infinite ocean; and all can dive deep into the same and take out precious gems [of knowledge and Bhakti], and distribute them to the aspiring public. The stories, parables, and teachings of Sri Sai Baba are very wonderful. They will give peace and happiness to the people, who are afflicted with sorrows and heavily loaded with miseries of this worldly existence, and also bestow knowledge and wisdom, both in the worldly and in spiritual domains. If these teachings of Sri Sai Baba, which are as interesting and instructive as the Vedic lore, are listened to and meditated upon, the devotees will get, what they long for, viz., union with Brahman, mastery in eight-fold Yoga, Bliss of Meditation.
WHAT DID SRI SAI BABA SAY ABOUT SHRI SATCHARITRA BEING WRITTEN
If my Leela’s are written, the Avidya will vanish and if they are attentively, and devoutly listened to, the consciousness of the worldly existence will abate, and strong waves of devotion and love will rise up and if one dives deep into My Leela's, he would get precious jewels of knowledge.
These Stories are the outcome of His boundless and natural self-realization. Let him make a collection of stories and experiences, keep notes and memos; I will help him. He is only an outward instrument. I should write Myself My autobiography and satisfy the wishes of my devotees. He should get rid of his ego, place [or surrender] it at my feet. He who acts like this in life, him I help the most.
WHAT OF MY LIFE-STORIES
I serve him in his house in all possible ways. When his ego is completely annihilated and there is left no trace of it, I Myself shall enter into him and shall Myself write My own life. Hearing my stories and teachings will create faith in devotees’ hearts and they will easily get self realization and Bliss; let there be no insistence on establishing ones own view, no attempt to refute others opinions, no discussions of pros and cons of any subject.

Baba's Day
Aum Sairam
On this Thursday [Baba’s Day] Merciful Lord shower love, kindness and blessings on one and all. We are constantly asking God for something or other and always keep wondering whether we will get what we have asked or not. Well here is answer for those who have asked Lord for something.
"For a greedy man there is no peace, neither contentment, nor certainty [steadiness]. If there be even a little trace of greed in mind, all the Sadhanas [spiritual endeavors] are of no avail. Even the knowledge of a well read man, who is not free from the desire of the fruit or reward of his actions, and who has got no disgust for the same, is useless and can't help him in getting self-realization. The teachings of a Guru are of no use to a man, who is full of egoism, and who always thinks about the sense objects. Purification of mind is absolutely necessary; without it, all our spiritual endeavors are nothing, but useless show and pomp. It is, therefore, better for one to take only what he can digest and assimilate. My treasury is full, and I can give anyone, what he wants, but I have to see whether he is qualified to receive what I give. If you listen to Me carefully, you will be certainly benefited. Sitting in this Masjid, I never speak any untruth."
May Sri Sai Baba bless us and guide us in our life and give us the wisdom to accept what He gives as His blessings.

Divine Spritual Bond
Aum Sairam
Real love neither puts up barriers nor harbors any prejudices. Love is the epitome of freedom and power… but only when grounded in purity and principles. The festival of Raksha Bandhan speaks volumes about this loving relationship that nurtures, protects and uplifts.
Although the present era has modernized the festival immensely, its simple and significant meaning exists incognito.
A number of legends are connected with tying of the Rakhi thread symbolizing the bond of love and protection but the most intriguing one is where the deities are said to have lost their heavenly kingdom to the devils. Lord Indra's wife applies tilak on his forehead and ties him a Rakhi, before he sets out for war to regain the lost sovereignty.
In time, the deities gain victory and return to heaven.
How is this fable applicable to us? Are only sisters or females in need of protection? Does fear arise from only external sources? Wouldn't God our Beloved Supreme Parent, Teacher, Sadguru be a more effective and loyal Protector? The Rakhi is undoubtedly the only bondage that truly frees us from all insecurities, fear and sorrow. And it is God alone who shares the wisdom behind tying the sacred Rakhi or rather, taking a vow.
We often forget our true identity of being an infinitesimal point of the divine energy soul, atman, ruh, spirit. We get entangled in the web or bondages of the vices lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego. These enemies overpower us and influence us to perform negative actions, which in turn cause sorrow. God comes to awaken and enlighten the inner being and teaches us how to regain our lost sovereignty.
When the tilak of soul consciousness is applied and a person takes the pledge to stay in his original nature of peace, love, purity, wisdom, mercy, his every thought, word and action become elevated and divine. You tend to see every other being as a child of God, as his family. This unlimited vision of brotherhood breaks all barriers of caste, creed, gender, religion and superstitions. You can then live by true self respect and help others do the same. The more you purify your consciousness, the stronger is your connection with God. God is then bound to look after you. Your positive actions ensure that you receive His blessings and good wishes from all souls these work as your protection and stay with him for eternity.
Let us all bind ourselves in this Spiritual binding the bond that liberates us from all bondages.

It’s not what, its how.....
Aum Sairam
One day, there was a blind man sitting on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet and a sign that read: "I am blind, please help."
A creative publicist was walking by and stopped to observe. He saw that the blind man had only a few coins in his hat.
He dropped in more coins and, without asking for permission, took the sign and rewrote it. He returned the sign to the blind man and left.
That afternoon the publicist returned to the blind man and noticed that his hat was full of bills and coins the blind man recognized his footsteps and asked if it was he who had rewritten his sign and wanted to know what he had written on it.
The publicist responded: "Nothing that was not true. I just wrote the message little differently." He smiled and went on his way.
The new sign read: "Today is spring and I cannot see it."
Sometimes we need to change our strategy. If we always do what we've always done, we'll always get what we've always got.
And remember too, sometimes it's not WHAT we say; it's HOW we say it!!

Why Don’t We Reach Him?
Aum Sairam
God, Guru, Atma are the same eternal consciousness in the ultimate reality. Sri Sai is within us in subtle form in our soul known as 'Antarsakshi' one who knows everything about us. He is within us in the form of self illumination. He is in our mind greatest noble thoughts. We do not have that power or inner sight which can see Him in the light form .Yogi’s after effort of many lives get that inner sight by which they can see His swaroop in the form of light within them. Sometimes we do experience Him in our Atma out of feeling of devotion and love but, mostly we imagine Him in mental form. We keep thinking of His photo, words, and His works. Moving ahead step by step we can reach His true form, when we will be egoless, have no more desires, become totally detached ,take control over lust, anger, hatred etc. When our heart will be blemish less and mind will be calm, then only His actual form can be experienced. As the sky does not reflect water when it is disturbed by waves similarly, until, mind will be calm, and then only His actual form will be experienced. As the sky doesn’t reflect on water when it is disturbed by waves, similarly, until, mind is completely stilled and get absorbed in Atma, it is not possible to see His form in it. One has to strive for this. Only Sadguru can instruct about that path. Therefore, one should continuously pray and follow the commands given by Him.
Sri Sai Commandments
Step into My path and see how all the avenues are opened for thee!
Spend a penny for Me how the box of treasure is opened for thee!
Take all the blames on you for My sake and see how My blessings are showered for thee!
Come toward Me and see how you are protected by Me!
Spread My message to others and see how you are referred by one and all!
Reminisce My way of life and see how you are gifted with divine wisdom!
Make Me your sole support and see how you are relieved of all your earthly bonds!
Weep heart fully for Me and see how you are immersed in utmost happiness!

God’s Servants
Aum Sairam
Fire, water, air and earth are God's servants, and whenever He wishes them to work for Him, they are ready to obey His command. If the elements are the obedient servants of God, cannot man be a greater and better instrument?
In point of fact God Himself is the messenger. In the aspect of God He is God, but, in the form of the messenger, He is the messenger. The tide of the sea surges, and when the sea has that motion it is called tide, but in reality the tide is the sea itself.
It is not solid wood that can become a flute, but the empty reed.
It is the perfection of that passiveness in the heart of the messenger which gives scope for the message from above, for the messenger is the reed, the instrument. The difference between His life and the life of the average man is that the latter is full of self. It is the blessed soul whose heart is empty of self, who is filled with the light of God.

Surrender to God
Aum Sairam
Surrender means to yield ownership, to relinquish control over what we consider ours: our property, our time, and our "rights."
When we surrender to God, we are simply acknowledging that what we "own" actually belongs to Him. He is the giver of all good things. We are responsible to care for what God has given us, as stewards of His property, but by surrendering to God, we admit that He is ultimately in control of everything, including our present circumstances.
Surrendering to God helps us to let go of whatever has been holding us back from God's best for our lives. By surrendering to God, we let go of whatever has kept us from wanting God's ways first.

Thursday Message [What Is Life All About]
Aum Sairam
May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy
Life isn't about keeping score. It's not about how many friends you have or how accepted you are. Not about if you have plans this weekend or if you're alone.
It isn't about whom you have kissed; it isn't about who your family is or how much money they have or what kind of car you drive.
Or where you are sent to school. It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on, or what kind of music you listen to.
It's not about if your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown, or if your skin is too light or too dark. Not about what grades you get how smart you are, how smart everybody else thinks you are, or how smart standardized tests say you are.
Life just isn't.Life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposely. It's about keeping or betraying trust. It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or as a weapon. It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening. It's about starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip. It's about what judgments you pass and why and who your judgments are spread to.It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention. It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge. It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow and spreading it.
But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's hearts in such a way that could have never occurred alone.
Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those choices are what life's all about.
Today Thursday [Baba’s Day] let this rainbow remind your friends and family of what life is really all about.

Offering Your Life To God
Aum Sairam
The surrender to the divine occurs in the heart and in the understanding, not in outer behavior. Surrender must come from love, not a sense of obligation or duty.
Offering positive things to Sri Sai means you feel gratitude toward Sri Sai for what you have and you recognize that it is not yours, or something that belongs to your ego, but rather it is a gift from Sri Sai you offer back.
When we offer our bad habits to Sri Sai, we feel humble and receptive of Sri Sai's grace and we understand that our attachment to it is based on the ego's mistake.
It doesn't matter to Sri Sai what we are offering, Sri Sai doesn't need it. What is important is the connection that is established through the love in the gift.
Just as a child might bring his mother a present of a stick or mud pie or a flower. She doesn't care what the gift is, what matters is the flow of love that is created from the offering. As you offer more and more of your life to Sri Sai, that current of love grows stronger and stronger until that divine love dominates your life.

Satisfaction!
Aum Sai Ram
A saint was praying silently. A wealthy merchant, observing the saint's devotion and sincerity, was deeply touched by him. The merchant offered the saint a bag of gold coins. "I know that you will use the money for God's sake. Please take it."
"Just a moment." The saint replied. "I'm not sure if it is lawful for me to take your money. Are you a wealthy man? Do you have more money at home?
"Oh yes. I have at least one thousand gold coins at home," claimed the merchant proudly.
"Do you want a thousand gold coins more? asked the saint.
"Why not, of course yes. Every day I work hard to earn more money."
"And do you wish for yet a thousand gold pieces more beyond that?"
"Certainly. Every day I pray that I may earn more and more money."
The saint pushed the bag of gold coins back to the merchant. "I am sorry, but I cannot take your gold," he said. "A wealthy man cannot take money from a beggar."
"How can you call yourself a wealthy man and me a beggar?" the merchant spluttered.
The saint replied, "I am a wealthy man because I am content with whatever God sends me. You are a beggar, because no matter how much you possess, you are always dissatisfied, and always begging God for more."Same is advocated by Lord Krishna in Srimad Bhagavad Gita. While describing the characteristics of his devotee in chapter 12, verse 14, Krishna says, "Santushta satatam yogi.." i.e My devotee is ever-content or satisfied with whatever he gets.
Desire never gets fulfilled even if it is temporarily satisfied. As, fire consumes offered ghee and increases, desire also increases with consumption. By gratifying the senses no one can ever get satisfied. Look for the spiritual wealth which gives ultimate satisfaction.

The most important requirements for undertaking our Lord's activities are many. To name a few, - One should follow the path of Selfless Love. Whatever / whenever he / she are undertaking an activity [be it anything] that should be done without any thinking about what that would result for the doer. If there are results awaited for the activity, the activity never holds any importance in the eyes of our lord.
When we do anything, we should do it with the utmost devotion, love, and obedience. We should feel that we are not the doers; the doer is our Sri Sai Baba himself. After all, we are nothing but mere instruments in his hands for His work to get accomplished. We should treat the activity recipient as though they are our own.
To whom we serve.... To whom we deliver our seva / activity, we should see our lord in him/her. Sri Sai Baba has given a wonderful instance about this to Mrs. Tarkhad in the Shri Sai Satcharitra. When Mrs. Tarkhad fed the hungry dog with a piece of bread, the dog relished the food. When she met Sri Sai Baba, He said that it was he himself who had come in that form. The food that the dog ate appeased his hunger and he was still belching with the great food. He said, he will be in all the forms may it be, cow, flies, dog, etc. This was an important lesson to everyone, that Sri Sai Baba will be present in everyone and everything. When we deliver our seva or activity, we should always think that we are doing it for our own Sri Sai Baba.
Take the best for the seva / activity. When we do an activity, we have to give the best from ourselves. To quote an example, our beloved lord Sri Sai Baba showed this. A lady used to do Narayana Seva in her town. She used to buy Rs.2 rice for the seva. For the family, there was Rs.5 rice bought. The Rs.2 rice was filled with Stone, and was not very good for anyone to have. When in an interview she was mentioning about the seva she had been doing for such a long time and Swami should bless more, her pride was knocked. Sri Sai Baba went inside his room and bought a red bag of rice with him. He asked her, "Is this not the rice you have given me when I visited you?” It was the same bag she had offered him when Sri Sai Baba visited her seva in an unrecognizable form. This is indeed a lesson to everyone, that whenever we do His work, we have to deliver the best of the best.

What is God? Who is God? How are we to see God?
Aum Sairam
Life is made up of so many items or bits of thought, faith, emotion etc., and if ones life is completely occupied by appreciation of beauty, order etc. that life is merged in God, whatever the line of advance that leads to the consumption. It is impossible to distinguish between the aesthetic approach to God and the intellectual or moral approach.
God is itself a very indefinitely grasped term though many people think that God is an object somewhere in space with certain definite properties and qualities. Whatever lifts us from the dull and miseries of day-to-day existence is a pull Heavenward and reaching God means achieving a goal which may appear to be the very upper most end whence a person kicks off the lower rungs of his ladder to Heaven. These are essential and finally indistinguishable from the rest of life. Life is morality, life is beauty, life is the finest refinement of thought, and life is everything that we consider divine.
Life, moral life, healthy life, vigorous, life, life on the higher levels and like illuminated by the loftiest ideals enabling one to soar into divinity and penetrating the lowest strata diffusing purity, wisdom and joy everywhere.

True Peace
Aum Sairam
A long time ago a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists entered the contest. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked. One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.
The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all. But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest in perfect peace.
The king chose the second picture. Do you know why?
Because, explained the king, peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace.
We were not put in the world to hide in a cave, but to create a life amidst the chaos of the universe and to refine the world in the process, therefore creating true peace.

What is Life from Shri Sai Leela
Om Sai Ram
There are ever so many notions about Life of a human-being. The man is having a little animal-wise only because the ‘Adi Srishti’ origin began with an animal and from it gradually the mankind progency created.
The Life is nothing but a Mission. Every other definition of Life is considered to be false and leads all who accept it astray. Religion, Science, Philosophy though still at variance on many points; all agree in this, that every existence is an arm.
The Life is overwhelmed with many more odds. Unless the man is completely surrendered to the Sacred Feet of Shri Sainath and is blessed by Sadguru Shri Sainath he will not be relieved from the Maya to reah God’s abode. Meanwhile, the Life (Mission) deeds shall be conducted as seen in Hindu literature, for example, some of them are given for the readers to ruminate for a while.
Life Deeds How to Conduct.
Life is a Worship Honour it.
Life is a Hell Extricate it.
Life is an Anxiety Abstain it.

IRREVERSIBLE
Aum Sairam
“It is not good to dispute and argue” in Shri Sai Satcharitra, Ch.X.
There once was a little girl who had a bad temper. Her mother gave her a bag of nails and told her that every time she lost her temper, she must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.
The first day the girl had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as she learned to control her anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. She discovered it was easier to hold her temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the girl didn’t lose her temper at all. She told her mother about it and the mother suggested that the girl now pull out one nail for each day that she was able to hold her temper. The passed and the young girl was finally able to tell her mother that all the nails were gone. The mother took her daughter by the hand and led her to the fence.
She said, “You have done well, my daughter, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.” You put a knife in a person and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say sorry, the wound is still there.
A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Have Confidence In Yourself
Aum Sairam
During a momentous battle, a general decided to attack even though his army was greatly outnumbered. He was confident they would win, but his men were filled with doubt.
On the way to the battle, they stopped at a religious shrine. After praying with the men, the general took out a coin and said, I shall now toss this coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If it is tails we shall lose. Destiny will now reveal itself.
He threw the coin into the air and all watched intently as it landed. It was heads. The soldiers were so overjoyed and filled with confidence that they vigorously attacked the enemy and were victorious.
After the battle. A lieutenant remarked to the general, No one can change destiny.
Quite right, the general replied as he showed the lieutenant the coin, which had heads on both sides.
Always have confidence in yourself.
Confidence is not ego or self importance. Confidence in yourself is a vital necessity if you want to make an impact in this lifetime.

Divine Remembrance on Day of Independence
Aum Sairam and Happy Independence Day
As our nation turns sixty
Let’s remember Sai’s message
Who stayed in Shirdi for years sixty
And explained real meaning of bondage
Lets adopt the religion of Truth
And let our actions be such that no being is hurt
Let’s attain another victory by winning over our desires
Let’s satiate our hunger by feeding it with anger’s fire
Let the words that we speak be sweet, humble and polite
On this special day let’s pledge to raise our nation to new heights
Let’s don the garment of honesty
And gratify our senses with the music of divine melody
Lets us unite in the uplifting of the down trodden and underprivileged
Let’s free our minds and heart as we delve into our soul’s depth
For as a nation we gained freedom only to become the slave of our senses
So its high time we brought back the glory by turning to the wisdom of the ages
For India has been the chosen land of sages
So let us join hands and collectively pray
Lets put aside our selfishness so that freedom forever stays
Let us bow at His Lotus Feet as the auspicious day dawns
Heralding a New Era where evil and hostility are no longer allowed to spawn
This message has been inspired by the similarity
In Sat guru Sai’s divine teachings and Guru Nanak’s message to humanity
Let’s not forget our heritage in this mindless and disgraceful rat race
For we are all a part of The One Humane Human Race

Peace
Aum Sairam
Our spirit is the real part of us. The body is but a garment. There is absolute peace in the abode from whence the spirit came, and the true happiness of the soul lies in that peace. As man would not find peace at the tailor's just because his coat came from there, so the spirit cannot get true happiness from the earth just because the body belongs to the earth. The soul experiences life through the mind and body and enjoys it, but its true happiness lies in peace.
In order to gain this peace we have to begin with ourselves. There are fights going on within us between spirit and matter. Struggles for our daily bread, and want of peace in our surroundings. We must first get this peace within ourselves before we can talk of peace in the world. Then we must be at peace with our surroundings, and never do or say anything that disturbs that peace. All thoughts, words, and actions that disturb the peace are sin, and all thoughtswords, and actions that create peace are virtue.
What keeps happiness out of one's life is the closing of the doors of the heart, and when the heart is not living, then there is no happiness there. Sometimes the heart is not fully alive but only partly. At the same time it expects life from the other heart. But the real life of the heart is to live independently in its own happiness and that is gained by spiritual attainment, by digging deep into one's own heart.
The one who has found his peace within himself may be in a cave of the mountain or among the crowd, yet in every place he will experience peace. What generally happens is that in order to get peace we blame the other person who jars upon our nerves. But in reality the true peace can come only by being so firm against all influences around us that nothing can disturb us.
It is natural to experience peace, but life in the world is not natural. Animals and birds all experience peace, but not mankind, for man is the robber of his own peace. He has made his life so artificial that he can never imagine how far he is removed from what may be called a normal, natural life for him to live. It is for this reason that we need the art of discovering peace within us; we shall not experience peace by improving outside conditions. As Peace is the naturalcondition of the soul.

God Knows Best
Aum Sairam
May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy
Our Father knows what’s best for us, so why should we complain. We always want the sunshine, but He knows there must be rain.
We love the sound of laughter and the merriment of cheer; but our hearts would lose their tenderness if we never shed a tear.
Our Father tests us often with suffering and with sorrow; He tests us, not to punish us, but to help us meet tomorrow.
For growing trees are strengthened when they withstand the storm; and the sharp cut of the chisel gives the marble grace and form.
God never hurts us needlessly, and He never wastes our pain; for every loss He sends to us is followed by rich gain.
And when we count the blessings that God has so freely sent; we will find no cause for murmuring and no time to lament.
For Our Father loves His children, and to Him all things are plain; so He never sends us pleasure when the soul’s deep need is pain.
So whenever we are troubled, and when everything goes wrong, it is just God working in us to make our spirits strong.

Dear Sai Brothers and Sai Sisters
In the quest for race of being the best in the world along both the developing and developed nations, their are certain differences / achievement in the path to the success.
In such cases, we may have forgone the history of our fore fathers who had sacrificed their lives for the future generations to let them see the better side free from poverty, pain and hunger.
Moreover, we should never ever forgo the past and always do the best for our country. In this context, the lines quoted come to my mind: “DONT THINK WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT THINK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY”.
In this path of journey, let us all unite and do what the best and positive path can be done to make our country the best.
Let us all unite and pray to our beloved Sri Sai Baba to show mercy on us “CITIZENS” of this country and free us from anger, lust, ego and pain,
Moreover, let Sri Sai Baba take us step by step towards path of spiritualism and shower us with blessings on this Independence Day in order to make an individual citizen, proud to be INDIAN.

Purity
Aum Sairam
Purity is the Light of our soul expressing its divinity through the body, the vital and the mind. When we are pure, we gain everything. If we can retain our purity, we will never lose anything worth keeping. Today we may have great thoughts or great inner power, but tomorrow we are bound to lose them if we are not pure. Purity is the breath of the Supreme. When purity leaves us, the breath of the Supreme also leaves, and we are left with only our human breath.
Purity is like a divine magnet. It pulls all divine qualities into us. If we have purity, then we have everything. There are two ways to have purity. One is by seeing Sri Sai Baba inside everyone, consciously and constantly. The other is by imagining Sri Sai Baba and consciously repeating His name as many times as possible. If we have purity, we do not have to go to Sri Sai Baba. Sri Sai Baba Himself will make us see His infinite Divinity. What Sri Sai Baba is will be reflected in us.
Purity expedites God's hour. Purity embodies Sri Sai Baba's power. If we have purity, then there is nothing that we cannot accomplish. Purity is the harbinger of selfless oneness, eternity's perfect, selfless oneness with Sri Sai Baba.

Sin
Aum Sairam
Sin is a kind of imperfection or ignorance. It is not necessarily something very bad, ugly or untouchable. In the process of evolution we are aiming at perfection, but right now most of us are still wallowing in the pleasures of ignorance and self indulgence. As long as we remain in ignorance, we will do things wrong, we will commit sins. But we must not feel that we are completely lost or covered in darkness. We are just, progressing from less Light to more light and ultimately to liberation from ignorance imperfection sin.
One can liberate oneself from sin only by invoking Sri Sai Baba's constant grace. Sri Sai Baba's grace always descends abundantly and powerfully, but most human beings do not try to receive it. If the individual wants to free him or herself from ignorance, and cries to receive Sri Sai Baba's compassion-rain, then definitely he will be liberated from the snares of imperfection sin. But this liberation comes gradually as the seeker becomes more illumined. We must not expect sudden and miraculous overnight transformations, although these do occasionally occur.

Baba said, "He who casts aside his egoism and thanks Him and he, who trust Him entirely will have his shackles removed and will obtain liberation" in Sri Sai Satcharitra Ch.XXXIV.
Do not imagine yourself to be great because of your superior birth, social status, learning, wealth and position. Remember; the same Lord is pervading all. Superiority exists only in our worldly relations and does not belong to the Atma.
In our worldly relations observance of indiscriminate equality is impossible and harmful; therefore, observing inequality, where necessary, in our worldly relations, maintain equality in your mental outlook. Know all to be equal so far as the Atma is concerned. Neither look down upon another as inferior, not let any sense of self importance enter your mind.
He is really great, who regards himself as humbler than the humblest creature. Remember always this secret.
God is ever and every moment with you. Do not forget this fact. The sense of His being always present with you will prove very helpful in ridding you of all fear and sin. This is not a mere hypothesis; He is really present with every one of us.
Increase your faith in the existence of God; the day you are fully assured of His existence you will be absolved of all sins and will inevitably have your face turned towards God.
Always try to make yourself strong, healthy, powerful and pure. In order to achieve this purpose, you will have to persuade yourself that you are really so. And, in fact, you are so. You are not the body; you are the spirit. And the spirit is always strong, healthy, powerful and pure. It is only when one identifies oneself with the body that weakness, disease, impotence and impurity creep in.
Identifying yourself with the body, never imagine that you are strong, healthy, powerful and pure. Your doing so will simply go to swell your vanity, because these qualities do not exist in the body.
Identifying of self with the body is itself a sin and is the greatest form of impurity. Regard yourself either as the Atma, a pure and integral part of God Himself, or as a servant of God, the Lord of the heart. The Atma is intrinsically pure and strong, whereas a servant of God also, through the contact and power of his Master, becomes as pure and strong as the Master Himself.
Never try to circumscribe God. He is indefinable. He is both possessed of Form and Formless, and is also beyond Form and Formlessness both. In whatever aspect the devotee worships Him, he will find in that very aspect. There lies his divinity.
Without wasting time in the attempt to understand intellectually the nature of God and His creation, cling to anyone of the numerous paths of discipline with reverence and devotion and begin to advance along that path. As you proceed, the whole enigma will begin to unravel itself to you. If instead of marching along any path you idly spend your time in discussions, you will identify yourself with a particular creed and waste your life in fruitless controversies and disputations. Truth is not realized through arguments and theological discussions; it is realized through service of one's preceptor and by reverently treading the path prescribed by him.

Prayer To Sai!
PRAY THIS EVEN IF YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE!! IT WILL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE.
Aum Sairam
Aum Sairam
You never know when God is going to bless you!! Good things happen when you least expect them to!!
Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And it’s the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those that don't believe.
But I thank you that I believe. I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it. God I love you and I need you, come into my heart.

It is a Thursday Message
Aum Sairam
May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy
When you wake up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.
If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your body, and a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly grateful to Lord, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.
If you can hold someone's hand, hug or even touch him or her on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.
If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.
You are so blessed in many ways that you may never even know.
Smile! Life is short; we all have to go long way!!!

Immense Is Sri Sadguru's Love
Aum Sairam
Immense is Sri Sadguru's love. Immeasurable is Sri Sadguru's love. Infinite is Sri Sadguru's love. Such metaphors aside, can anyone explain the love Sri Sadguru has for His children in such a way that it can be easily understood? Often, it is compared to the mother's love, for mother is one that is capable of loving her child in the most unselfish way, loving for love's sake and nothing else. However, true experiences of Sri Sadguru's love must be even beyond the above comparison. A little observation here will be able to explain this further. Although mother loves her child, a mother cannot love every other child nor can she treat every child as her own! Besides, one can see instances where a mother could hurt her own child. In the animal world, in a condition known as Infantophagia, a mother animal sometimes can devour her own offspring due to physiological reasons, for her own survival.
Mother's love is considered as the purest form of love in nature. Yet, the nature as most would know is still limited in its explanation of Sri Sadguru's love. The love of Sri Sadguru as somewhat closer to the love that sparkles in the eye of the mother as she glances at her new born for the first time, immediately after birth. Just for that one fraction of a moment, frozen in time, the mother experiences the love that would soon be different once the child starts crying and shows its own movements, in essence its own identity. The momentary love of the mother looking at the infant, as a part of her own self, is a remote comparison to love that Sri Sadguru has for His children.
Sri Sai Baba said that He would save His children even from the jaws of death. One would find such assurances of Sri Sadguru's protection an every stage of His children's lives. Blessed are we to know Sri Sai Baba as Sadguru, the Mother of Mothers, Father of Fathers, Guru of Gurus and the ultimate there is.

Nama Japa Sadhana
Aum Sairam
IT IS NOT SADHAKA TO DECIDE - IT IS SRI SAI BABA TO TAKE YOU TO SAI NAMA JAPA SADHANA
A person who has received but a small fraction of mercy from Sri Sai Baba can understand that He is Lord. No one else can. If the mercy of Sri Sai Baba is bestowed upon a person regardless of how learned a scholar that person may be and regardless of his seeing or listening-he can accept Sri Sai Baba as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Without first obtaining the mercy of Sadguru Sri Sainath Maharaj, one cannot chant the holy Sri Sai Nama Japa. Sri Sai Baba said, "Those, who are fortunate and whose demerits have vanished, take to My worship" in Shri Sai Satcharitra chapter 111. Hence it is not ‘you’ to decide to take part in Sri Sai Nama Japa Sadhana, it is ‘HE’ Who showers His blessings to take up Japa Sadhana.
The Sri Sai Nama Japa Sadhana movement can be spread by a person who is especially favored by Sri Sai Baba. Without first obtaining the mercy of Sri Sai Baba, one cannot spread the holy name. One who can spread the Sri Sai's’s name is called labdha chaitanya in the words of Bhakti siddhanta Sarasvati. The labdha chaitanya is one who has actually awakened his original consciousness, divine consciousness. The influence of the pure devotees in divine consciousness is such that it can awaken others to become immediately Sri Sai conscious and engage themselves in the transcendental loving service of Sri Sai Baba. In this way the descendants of pure devotees increase, and Sri Sai Baba takes much pleasure in seeing the increase of His devotees.
Those not interested in understanding Sri Sai Baba [under the influence of illusive power] are simply material in their attempts at professional chanting for worldly things. If one does not have full faith in Sri Sai Baba, he cannot properly chant in the Sri Sai Nama Japa Sadhana. Artificial chanting may be due to sentiments or sentimental agitation, but this cannot help one advance in divine consciousness.
These practical difficulties are not new to human beings; even Sri Sai Baba himself suffered this set back. He said, the inevitable illusive power teases Me often. Though, I forgot Myself but she cannot forget Me. She always envelops Me. This illusive power of Lord [Shri Hari] harasses even Lord Brahma and others, then, what to speak of a poor servant like me?" [Shri Sai Satcharitra Ch X111]
Then what is the remedy for this problem? Let us listen Sri Sai Baba’s words "Those, who take refuge in the God, will be freed from Her clutches with His grace. [Shri Sai Satcharitra Ch. X111]"
In order to succeed our attempts to take part in Sri Sai Nama Japa Sadhana, we must take refuge in Lotus Feet of Sri Sainath Maharaj and seek His grace to free our karmic clutches. Then your door to spiritual progress is wide open and it is up to you to enter the spiritual world of Sri Sai Nama Japa Sadhana and to attain Sri Sai Bliss in the days to come.

WANDER NOT MY DEAR
Aum Sairam
Sri Sai Baba said, "He who has no understanding and whose mind is unrestrained, his senses unmanageable" in Shri Sai Satcharitra, Ch. XVI & XVII.
A disciple and his Guru were walking through the forest. The disciple was disturbed by the fact that his mind was in constant unrest.
He asked his Guru: "Why is it that most people's minds are restless, and only a few possess a calm mind? What can one do to still his thoughts?"
The Guru looked at the disciple, smiled and said: I will tell you a story.
An elephant was standing and picking leaves from a tree. A small fly flew buzzing near his ear. The elephant waved it away with his long ears. Then the fly came again, and the elephant waved it away once more.
This repeated several times. Then the elephant asked the fly: "Why are you so restless and noisy? Why can't you stay for a while in one place?
The fly answered: "I am attracted to whatever I see, hear or smell. My five senses pull me constantly in all directions and I cannot resist them. And what is your secret, how can you stay so calm and still?"
The elephant stopped eating and said: "My five senses do not rule my attention. Whatever I do, I am immersed in it. Now that I am eating, I am completely immersed in eating. In this way I can enjoy my food and chew it better. I rule my attention and not the other way round.
The disciple's eyes opened wide and a smile rose on his face. I understood he said.
If I am in charge of my senses and attention, then the mind is calm. The outside objects are infinite in number. If I let my five senses pull my attention, then the mind is constantly restless.
"Yes, that's right", answered the Guru. The mind is restless and goes wherever the attention is. Control your attention, and you control your mind.

Aarti
Aum Sairam
One of the primary forces of Guru Worship is Aarti, outpourings of love and prayer from the disciple to Sadguru, in the form of lyrics and song.
Aarti has the power to heal, to transform, and to spiritually elevate anyone who partakes of its ambrosia.
Aarti is mantra sound, possessing the power to lift a devotee into the skies of the inner spaces. It can open fragrance chambers more intoxicating to the heart than the most expensive perfumes. It can leave one's consciousness suspended in a point of silence between the incoming and the outgoing breath which is the doorway to the miracle of Guru Worship.
We sing Aarti praises to Avadhoot Sainath, with words and songs created by Shri Bhishma, who composed his devotional lyrics as an offering of nourishment. The lyrics and songs of Das Ganu, Upasani, and others, are added to compose a river of Grace flowing directly from a devotee's heart to the ears of the Master.
Within these lyrics, are keys to uncovering the Spirit. These keys reveal the sanctity of the earth on which the Master of Shirdi walked. Imagine the love Sri Sai Baba and His devotees had for the Saints of Maharashtra. Imagine this love while singing praises to Sri Sainath, garlanding him with adornments of Sant Tukaram, Sant Namdev, Sant Jani, Sant Kabir, as well as the presiding Deities; homage to beings, who are part of a vast centuries old tradition of Siddhas, whose life stories, forms of worship, and teachings, would make even the greatest among us feel like specks of dust under His feet.
This is Gurushaktipat, transferred through the Aarti of Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi. The tradition, the teachings, the methodology, the discipline, is all left as keys hidden in the simplicity of Shirdi Sai Marg. We can uncover as much as we wish. The Master's treasures are as limitless as the individual capacity of each seeker who comes to Him.

Lets be friend Sai on Friendship Day
I was living alone
But He was watching
And waiting
For the right time
To be approached and prayed to
And in my loneliness I found a friend
In God, I found a friend
In my Sai I found a friend
And he embraced me in His arms
Wiped my every tear
Brought laughter and cheer
Into my life
Because he is the giver of light
He dispels darkness from everyone’s heart
And from this world
He is the savior
Of the destitute and the poor
He brings respite
By sharing everyone’s pain
When in drought the earth is parched
From Heavens He sends down rain
I thank you oh! Baba
For showing me the way
Forever indebted are we
For your grace
May our thirst for your nectar like words
Never subside
And may to your teachings
We always abide
You are our teacher, our parent and our guide
We bow to you O! Benevolent Friend
And I pray to thee on this Friendship Day
That we spread your message of Love Peace and Harmony
And by giving up hostility at your feet today
Lets start a new trend
May there be Happiness and Joy
Around every bend
And may sorrow be wiped away forever
O! Father please open the gates to your kingdom
And welcome your children to a bright future
For they have suffered enough for their sins
Now like a loving mother
Give us a place in your lap
We are tired of all this fighting and war
Please forgive our wayward actions
So admit us in your school of divinty
And teach us how to live as One.

God is the Master of Time
Aum Sairam
In order to experience the principle of complete surrender you need to become aware of time, and how it exercises total power over all that is changing, and yet, how it is utterly powerless over the unchanging divinity, which is its master. God is not subject to time. He not only is not under the spell of time, but he keeps time under his control. The one who is bound by time is man; the one who transcends time is God. The one who is mortal is man; the one who is immortal is God. Only when you take shelter in divinity will you be able to transcend this element of time. Time consumes man, whereas God consumes time itself. It is time which is responsible for man's progress or man's decline, for the promotion of his good or his fall into evil, for his earning merit or storing demerit. Therefore, in the ancient scriptures we find this prayer:
Oh God, you are the very embodiment of time. Please, help me to sanctify my life and spend all my time in remembrance of you, so that I may safely reach your lotus feet.
The entire world is inextricably enmeshed in the grip of time. It is not possible to fight against this element of time. Time does not wait for anyone. You are bound by time; time is not bound by you. Time can be compared to a great flowing river. All living beings are washed away by this flow of time. If you are washed away by a flood you cannot take protection and shelter in someone or something which is also being washed away. You, as well as the people and objects in which you try to find security, are all being washed away by the flood of time. If you seek to gain protection from something that is itself being washed away, it is like a blind person following another blind person. In the end, they both get lost. But if you were to be helped by someone who is standing securely on the bank, you would surely be saved.
The one on the bank who is not caught up in the flood of time is God. If you take refuge in God you will be able to free yourself from all the troubles and problems associated with time. God has proclaimed the principle of surrender and emphasized its importance by telling man, "O man, you are being washed away by the flood of time. The only one who can shelter you is Myself. Take refuge in Me, and I will save you." When you obey this divine command and offer yourself at the Lord's lotus feet and surrender yourself completely, then you will surely be saved.

Thursday Message [Baba's Day]
Aum Sairam
May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy
Truth is the power and the manifestation. Truth is eternal and indestructible. Truth is the most beautiful and the brightest. Truth is silent because it does not need a voice. Truth remains at the core of the conscience, the abode of Sadguru Sainath. Every spiritual aspirant has to confront the entity of Truth, the biggest obstacle. Conquering falsehood, most tiring of all the battles, is the beginning of Sri Sai Baba's expanse. It becomes at one point the task of utmost relevance, to distinguish Truth from the set of other operable facts, the premise under which everyday dealings are carried out, material and even spiritual.
Are being devotional and having faith in Sadguru Sainath all what on needs? Faith and patience are sure what Sri Sai Baba demanded from His children. However, just faith and having patience did not win the heart of Sri Sai Baba. Stories are plentiful in Sadguru Sainath's abode where Sri Sai Baba whipped up the conscience of those that he wanted to bless. Those who seek Him could never resist the piercing eyes of the compassionate father; the eyes that know the past, present, and the future. The eyes not that of the punishing policeman, but of the benevolent caretaker longing to lead one from the convenient facts to everlasting contentment, Truth!
How could one trying to realize that Sri Sai Baba is the in dweller of all beings even attempt to either lie to the self or to others? Sri Sai Baba never lied to anyone. He always spoke of parables; some of them were literally true while some were figurative. They were the individualized instructions that Sri Sai Baba provided to those who deserve it and none else.
Sai Sai Baba was always practical and realistic in his teachings. He never told his devotees to lie and asked them always to speak truth. The devotees knew that Sri Sai Baba was antargyani [knower of the secrets of every being] and he would certainly catch them if they told a lie. Hence hey dared not speak untruth in his presence. Untruth does not work before Sadguru Sainath and He cannot be procured with untruth. Untruth means downfall. Untruth in the end takes you to hell.
Let us on this beautiful Thursday remind ourselves of that benevolent caretaker longing to lead us from the convenient facts to everlasting contentment, Truth!
