Be Different

Aum Sairam

On the path of evolution, we move from being a willing and obedient member of the group to wanting to take control over our own lives. This is a necessary but difficult transition.

At this point we are afraid of being ourselves. We are afraid of being unique and different. We are afraid of being individually powerful, and even successful. For all of these things stand against the old ways that told us that conformity was right and individualism was wrong.

For as long as we possibly can, we make a compromise. We try to live both lives - the dependent tribal life and the independent personal life - as contradictory and opposite as they are.

We want approval from others. We want to be accepted and popular. We seek this comfort to overcome our fear and feel more secure. ...So, at times when we conform, we don't feel the fear of living. But we might lose the new sense of adventure, discovery, daring and enthusiasm for life that the questioning and questing have brought us.

Nature never repeats herself, and the possibilities of one human soul will never be found in another.

Statues Do Not Eat Food

Aum Sairam

[A devotee referred to a story of a devoted boy by whose innocent devotion, the statue of God became alive and God ate the offered food.].

Several people create stories. I do not think that this is possible because no sincere devotee, who tells only the truth can say this in spite of hectic devotion. There is no end to these stories. But you can draw a very good conclusion from this story. This means that the statue never eats the food.

The statue has to be converted into human form to eat the offered food. This finally means that the human form of God alone can eat the offered food and therefore the real service can be done only to the human form and not to the statue. In the story the devoted boy has taken the correct meaning of Nivedanam which is offering food to God. He proved that the daily offering of food to God done by his father was not correct and he taught the truth to his father. Of course, God has the super power to eat the food even through the statue without converting the statue in to human form. Such special type of eating or conversion of statue in to human form involves the unnecessary use of the special super power because God is available in human form to eat the food offered by you.

The Secret

Aum Sairam

One day, one friend asked another, "How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down."

With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!"
"What secret is that?"
To which she replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others."

"The Secret is this:
I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy.
I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs.
When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to His riches.
I have learned most of the time
I don't need half of what I think I do.
He has never let me down.
Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."

The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!"
But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn't!
She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn't.
When did she realize her greatest happiness?
Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from God.

Now you know it too!
We can't depend on people to make us happy.
Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that.
Trust HIM!
And now I pass the Secret on to you!
So once you get it, what will you do?

YOU have to tell someone the Secret, too!
That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU!
But it's not really a secret...
We just have to believe it and do it.
Really trust God!

In everything you do, put GOD first, and He will direct you and crown your effort with success .

Baba Says

Aum Sairam

God will respond to your prayers for succor only when you respond sympathetically to the needs of others. Life should not be wasted in selfish activities, blind to others' distress and deaf to others' groans. Treat joy and grief equally - this according to Lord Krishna is Samathwam [equanimity]. Practice this equanimity - this is the way to win His Grace. You may not be rewarded materially for your compassionate acts but there is no greater reward than the joy that you derive by alleviating other's sorrow.

Lotus

Aum Sairam

Why do we consider the lotus as special?

The Lotus is India's national flower and rightly so. Not long ago, the lakes and ponds of India were full of many hued lotuses.

The lotus is the symbol of truth, auspiciousness and beauty [Satyam, Shiva, Sundaram]. The Lord is also that nature and therefore, His various aspects are compared to a lotus [i.e.. lots-eyes, lotus feet, lotus hands, the lotus of heart etc] Our scriptures and ancient literature extol the beauty of the lotus. Art and architecture also portray the lotus in various decorative motifs and paintings. Many people have names of or related to the lotus: Padma, Pankaja, Kamal, Kamala, Kamalakshmi etc. The Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, sits on a lotus and carries one in Her hand.

The lotus blooms with the rising sun and closes at night. Similarly, our minds open up and expand with the light of knowledge. The lotus grows even in slushy areas. It remains beautiful and untainted despite its surroundings, reminding us that we too can and should
strive to remain pure and beautiful within, under all circumstances. The lotus leaf never gets wet although it is always in water. It symbolizes the man of wisdom, gyani who remains ever joyous, unaffected by the world of sorrow and change. The lotus posture, padmasana is recommended when one sits for meditation.

A lotus emerged from the navel of Lord Vishnu. Lord Bhrahma originated from it to create the world. Hence, the lotus symbolizes the link between the creator and the supreme Cause. It also symbolizes Brahmaloka, the abode of Lord Brahma.

The auspicious sign of the swastika is said to have evolved from the lotus.

From the above, we can well appreciate why the lotus in India's national flower and so special to Hindus.

What is Pain?

Aum Sairam

One day a devotee was thinking about Pains, Sorrows, Worries , Tensions in Human Life. Then she started thinking why human being will suffer and react more for these things. Why always she should suffer. Then she started thinking why should I suffer even though I am Praying God. She has lots and lots of questions Like this.

Then Sadguru gave the following reply:

Oh! Child why you are thinking about all these things. Do you think all these human problems are pains for you.

Do you know what is the real Pain, Sorrow, Worry, Tension?

She said No.
Sadguru gave the following reply:

The real pain is When this Jeevatma came to land from Paramatma it will suffer pain for entering into this human world. You should feel tensed when you are doing a mistake. You should be worried about you when you are not realizing God even though God is with you.

Do you know why you are suffering with all these things?

She said No
Sadguru gave the following reply:

Because I Love You. You are my Child, Close friend. A person will always play games with his dearest person. Like wise I am playing with you because you are very close to me.

Don’t think about problems. All these will divert your path from Divine path.
Remember the following things

Sorrow and pain are caused desire.

The cure is to used the same desire, and turn it to God, desire God.

God is bound to you by the closest bonds of Love. God is the nearest, the dearest, the most loving, the most eager companion and kinsman for man.

Happiness will come in the same measure as your love for God. Immeasurable happiness can be obtained through loving God without limit.

What Is The Use Of Human Birth

Aum Sairam

What is the use of the human birth in which there is no desire for God and God’s love?

Such human birth is useless. When such divine aim is absent, the soul gets the births of birds and animals in which food, sleep, sex etc., only exist. The human birth is a good chance. It is very rare to get a human birth. There is no human rebirth in other religions, which is absolute truth. The special power of God to grant human re-birth in very few deserving cases is generalized to every human being in Hinduism, which is not correct. The future births in the birds and animals are told as permanent hell in other religions and therefore, there is no contradiction between the religions. Therefore, this point applies to everybody on the earth.

Allah Malik

The Desire Is Created By God.

Aum Sairam

The desire is created by God. But the desire is criticized. The same desire gave salvation to Gopikas. How is this?

The desire is created by God. Intensive desire is blind love. Even this blind love is created by God. Every item in this creation is an instrument to attain God. If you are not realizing the purpose for which, each item in the creation is created, it becomes waste even if it is justified and is used in the direction of the world. Even the blind love is getting salvation, when it is used towards God. Even the complete detachment from the world without devotion is leading to the birth of a stone in future. Desire is not criticized but the direction of the desire is criticized.

Surrender To The Supreme Perfect Master

Aum Sairam

No man on earth has evolved beyond a certain point without any help. For that complete support, assistance from a guide and faith in him is essential. Only one who has treaded the path and crossed the obstacles can correctly guide others. And who is the guide who has treaded the path and knows the secrets of nature? It is the Perfect Master or the Sadguru. Sri Sai had once said that there are many paths of spiritual evolution. There is one path through Shirdi. He also said, One can cross the jungle path with the proper guide. The path obviously means the path of evolution God wards through the thick forest of Maya. When the path ends one merges with God and to such a person there is no meaning of time as he has gone beyond it. To conquer time, therefore, we have to hold on steadfastly to our Param Sadguru the Supreme Master Sri Sai who has gone beyond the concept of time.

Surrender

Aum Sairam

What is surrendering to Sri Sadguru? As said in many instances, is it following Sri Sadguru to the letter, in thoughts, words and deeds? If so, is it an easy task to be able to do it? How many births would it take to garner this as an enterprise? An ambition or a life long mission with the intellect unleashed?

Someone that can line up his thoughts, words, and actions is a Yogi, someone that has achieved a state of continuum with the infinite. This is harmony in its most perfect state. Such specks of truth are rare.

Shri Sai Satcharitra has examples of those souls that surrendered completely to the will of Sri Sai and for them everything else was secondary. Do we know if they followed the principles of thoughts, words, and action? No!

Once, Nana smitten by the beauty of the lady that visited Sri Sai was having difficulty to curb his enthusiasm. Sri Sai commented that it is the nature of the mind to be restless but body should be kept in check. Is there any advice that is more practical? It is with such messages that Sri Sai taught the practical way of living and not through any metaphysical rigor.

Fortunate are those devotees that had the bounty of Sri Sadguru's physical presence and guidance in their daily lives. For they didn't have anything except implicit faith in Sri Sadguru's words and the loving disposition to make Sri Sadguru happy always. For them, nothing else matters.

It is not known whether surrender might be a lengthy process of stepwise accession well spelt and guided in the light of scriptures. But, when love for Sri Sadguru is sparked in the hearts and when the spark flames into eternal fires that consume everything on its way in hunger for Sri Sadguru, surrender sure happens unsolicited without even being aware of it.

Fasting

Aum Sairam

Upavas [Fasting] means forgetting food, when you are immersed in God. [Upa = Near God, Vas = Immersed]. But today people are fasting by force, suffering with hunger. This is not Upavas. When you do such fasting, Yogi Vemana says [Kuudu Vidachi
Malamu Kudchura Upavasai.] This means a little excretory matter is left over in the digestive system after motion. When you fast the digestive system assimilates this little excretory matter. So on that fasting day, one has eaten the excretory matter instead of food! Similarly if you do not get sleep due to thinking of God, that is Jagaran [Not sleeping in the night. But people are stopping their sleep by force.]

There should not be force to stop eating or sleeping. If they are stopped without force, automatically due to immersion in God and then only Upavas and Jagaran are fruitful. Aspiring some benefit, people are doing Upavas and Jagaran by force. Such acts are waste and useless. The right knowledge is necessary in any religious deed.

Prayer of Surrender to the Lord

Aum Sairam

There are no flaws in God's master plan.
His Love is unfathomable.

It is His compassionate grace that we breathe.
By his commands air, water, fire sun, etc perform their duties.

He is everywhere

He is the cause and protector of everything.

Without his will a single Blade of grass cannot move.
He knows what is the best for us.

Let us Pray him day and night.
Let us remember him with every breathe.
Let us meditate on him always.

Let us surrender everything at God’s sacred Lotus Feet.

Inspirational Thoughts

Aum Sairam

In a day, when you don’t come across any problems – you can be sure that you are traveling in a wrong path

Three sentences for getting SUCCESS.
A - Know more than others
B - Work More then others
C - Expect less than others

If you win, you need not explain. But if you lose you should not be there to explain

Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do so, you are insulting yourself

If we cannot love the person whom we see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

Winning doesn’t always mean being first, winning means you are doing better then you have done before.

I will not say I Failed 1000 times, I will say that I discovered there are 1000 ways that can cause failure

Everyone thinks of changing the world but no one thinks of changing himself

Believing everybody is dangerous; believing nobody is very dangerous.

If someone feels that they had never made a mistake in their life, then it means they had never tried a new thing in their life

Never break four things in your life – Trust, Promise, Relation Heart. Because when they break they don’t make noise but pains a lot.

If you start judging people you will be having no time to love them.

Are you happy with your relationship?

With the growing number of live-in relationships and so many rules and over-rules, it's difficult to say whether relationships do make us happy. The number of divorces both in India and abroad are growing. Most youngsters are shying away from marriage for reasons starting from career, to not finding the right person. Are marriages passed? Is your relationship, live-in relationship or marriage making you happy?

Hope

Aum Sairam

Hope is a word that every hurting heart understands.

Hope shines brighter than the brightest star on the darkest night.

Faith is bigger than the highest mountain and God is greater than any obstacle in your path, anything can be accomplished by those who fully put their hearts into it.

The time to start is now
The place to start is here.

May hope cast its special light upon your path and God bless everything you touch in the hours, days, and moments still to come.

Absolute Purity

Aum Sairam

Absolute purity or perfection is not beyond man's capacity. It is possible for him to be perfect. But to attain the zenith of truth, beauty and goodness, man has to struggle hard. He should develop deep understanding, follow hard discipline and put in ceaseless effort. Man should regard himself as a representative of divinity and not just a 'man'. It is his duty to cultivate such qualities that reflect the divine within him. He should develop these divine qualities and spread them in society. This is the best and the only suitable remedy for many of our contemporary problems.

What Shows Me That God Cares

Aum Sairam

Merry Christmas And Happy Baba’s Day

May this Thursday [Baba's Day] bring you Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy.

The wonder of the Incarnation is that in Jesus we are told that God and humanity are meant for each other. We discover that God loves bodies, God plays with matter, God speaks to us through quarks and atoms and molecules, through blood and lymph and bone. Through every human race and culture. The Christian story tells us that God chooses to be human, chooses to know human life from the moment of conception to the suffering of death. In Jesus, God knows intimately what it is to be a toddler, to have a stomachache, to feel the rain and wind, to be betrayed and forsaken, to die. Incarnation is about God choosing to be one of us, so that we might become communities of compassion, mercy, courage, justice, care, God's embodied presence here and now.

This was a time for watching for the light's return, even in the midst of darkness. This was a time for pondering endings and beginnings.

Jesus birth, singular as it is, also shows us the sacredness of each child, knit together in the mother's womb by God's own Spirit. Jesus birth reminds us that each household is dear to God.

God's presence makes the world. God's presence makes you, makes your family, makes each person. God's presence invites loving, active response. God's incarnate presence provokes us to action, to care, to justice.

At this season of the year, when we celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus in the midst of the hubbub in Bethlehem, this tradition invites us to notice God being birthed in our midst, in one another, in our friend, in our foe.

He loved the earth, loved it as a lover because it is God's earth
He loved it because it was created by his Father
From nothingness to be life's temple.

Allah Malik

Compassionate Incarnate

Aum Sairam

Merry Christmas And Happy Baba’s Day

May this Thursday [Baba's Day] bring you Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy.

God, the manifestation of the Supreme is seen as the savior from sin and the way to the eternal life. The core of the message delivered by different messengers is the same. As if confirming to an unseen doctrine, each of the messenger appeared to have spoken to those under different conditions of life, over the time.

Lord Jesus came proclaiming the Kingdom of God. But unlike John the Baptist, or the Essences, or many others of his day, he did not envision the Kingdom of God descending miraculously from Heaven. The arrival of the Kingdom would not mean the end of the world or the destruction of Israel's enemies. Instead, he said, The Kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed nor will they say, Lo, here it is or There for behold, the Kingdom of God is in the midst of you. The Kingdom had already arrived, and it was a spiritual community consisting of Lord Jesus and all those who centered themselves in God. The Kingdom of God was always meant to be a this worldly movement which would bring a measure of Heaven to earth through the lives and actions of those who lived in God.

Just like Sri Sai had said poverty is Kingship, Lord Jesus said, Blessed are you poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh. But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.

Sri Sai asked His followers to cast their burden for Him to carry. Similarly, Lord Jesus said, Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Sri Sai, like Lord Jesus, said that God is great and kind and taught us to be likewise. God is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be compassionate, even as your Father is compassionate. The word translated compassionate is derived from a word which means wombish. God's compassion is nourishing and life giving like the womb to an unborn child.

Lord Jesus taught His followers to abandon the broad way of organized religion, which tells us to believe such and such and do such and such to win the favor of God. Lord Jesus said to abandon the way of anxiety, for we already have the favor of God. Sri Sai's advice to the fasting lady is a perfect example of this similarity between Lord Jesus and Sri Sai. But knowing that God already loves us, what are we to do to live good lives? And how do we participate in the Kingdom of God in the here and now? First of all, Lord Jesus said to love, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. And he also said, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Secondly, he said to have a clean heart. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.[By seeing God, he means primarily the experience of God's presence in this life]

The Mango Miracle in Shri Sai Satcharitra is an interesting one. Sri Sai said to Damu Anna that those who would eat the mango's would die. The way of death is a metaphor for a transformation deep inside, in which we turn away from that which separates us from God. Lord Jesus spoke of both the self and the world as the two great spiritual obstacles. He said to deny self. And he told us that it profits us nothing to gain the whole world, and lose our way spiritually. Therefore, to the self and the world, we must die. For the self absorbed self is filled with narcissism, and greed and fear, jealousy and cruelty. But the self which is centered in God, loves others as much as it loves its own self.

It is kind and compassionate and does not think itself better than any other.

On this Holy Week of Christmas and as we welcome the New Year, let us contemplate on the universal nature of Sri Sai's message that permeates beyond the divisions of religions and fundamental.

Stepping Stones

Aum Sairam

The Lord came to me like a dream one day and asked, "Why do you sorrow?" I answered, "Lord, my life is so full of pain, I can't face one more tomorrow."

The Lord sat down beside me, and gently took my hand. He said, "Let me explain to you and then you'll understand.

Each sorrow is a stepping stone you must surmount each day, and every stepping stone you climb is a sorrow that's passed away.

The road of life is a mountainside with crevices in which to be caught, but as you struggle on your way, I, the Rock, will lend support.

Every stepping stone you climb, makes spirit and heart grow strong. Exercising character and faith this road seems painful and long.

The way is paved with stepping stones, to uplift your heart and soul, though difficult, they aid your way to a city paved with gold.

I know that you are tired, for I too have walked this way, My sorrows did they multiply, but I cleared the stones away.

I left my rock to lift you up, I left behind my story. To give you strength to make your climb to that special place in glory.

And never fear, the Rock is here, you'll never climb alone. Surmount life's sorrows, continue on, for they are but stepping stones.

Reach For The Stars

Aum Sairam

The world will be such a nice place to be if we would only cooperate with each other as human souls. We all come into incarnation to fulfill the plans of the great ones divine life and divine love will flow into the hearts of all humanity. To heal the wounds of the past and set us upon our feet again, we all have the capacity to love more deeply than before and restore to the world a measure of tranquility.

That all may live in harmony with each other as we tread the path of high spirituality and to come to our senses when it comes to the justice of everyone who is now taking incarnation.

We all come into incarnation to work out the divine plan of the ensouling life of this man bearing planet and to climb ever so highly into the glorious heavens above.

Each and everyone of us has a mountain of limitation to over come before we can be truly free in body ,mind ,and soul.

We are all sons of the most high and we all shall overcome our mortal coil and to be forever free from all that hurts us all so much deep within.

My Love enfolds you all. and I will always live my life through you as we reach for the stars.

Ignorant Needs Miracles

Aum Sairam

If you are ignorant and not a completely realized soul about the God, the divine help comes to you through unimaginable way so that you will recognize God without any doubt. If the help from God comes to you in an imaginable way, you will not recognize the divine help and God in that incident. Suppose you are getting the monthly salary after doing the job in a month. You will think that the salary is the fruit of your work, which is a natural way of getting the fruit. But suppose you have not done work in a month and somebody not known to you comes suddenly and donates the exact amount of the salary to you and goes away, then you will recognize God’s help through that unknown person. Therefore, for ignorant people difficulties are necessary to recognize God, because only difficulties can accommodate the unimaginable events as proof for God, since they do not treat the imaginable events as works of God. Here proof means a miracle which is the unimaginable event. Therefore, proof always needs troubles for you.

When you want proof from God, He will wait till you get problems according to your cycle of deeds. For the sake of giving proof, God will not create troubles. When the difficulties come, then He will help you through unimaginable way so that you will recognize God and get yourself uplifted. Therefore, the miracles which are unimaginable are needed for ignorant people only, who are almost atheists. But, certain rigid atheists, treat even this unimaginable incident as imaginable only. Such atheist thinks that the person who gave that amount must have been mad and the exact amount of salary is just a co-incidence. Duryodhana treated the cosmic vision given by the Lord as an illusion of the eye through magic. For such rigid atheists, God will not perform any miracle or may perform once and leave them forever since the realization will never come in their case.

Therefore, the aim of the miracles is only to help the spiritual path and not solving your petty problems faced by you according to the cycle of your deeds. God will certainly do miracles if He has a hope about you that the miracles will help you in the spiritual path. Often the devotees pray God to do miracles for the sake of spiritual path but in their hearts, the aim is to solve their problems only. They forget that God is Omniscient and knows the heart of their hearts and therefore in such cases, He keeps silent. The hope about the progress of your spiritual path through miracle should come in God’s mind by itself and not by your request.

Gap

Aum Sairam

The gap is the infinite moment that is present in between two thoughts. It is a moment that once immersed in, leads to infinity and enlightenment. The gap is the place where you will no longer believe in God, but in fact know Him.

How do I enter the gap?

It is a moment by moment decision, that you not be immersed in past or future thoughts. A single moment in the gap is enough to free you of a lifetime of sin.

You have become lost, and have forgotten the way home, but fear no more, it can be found in the present moment anytime you make a wholehearted decision to do so.

It is like a forgotten song which you knew long ago, but is now a very faint memory. A minuscule of a second in the gap will restore your memory completely and you will hear the angels of heaven singing for ever and ever. You will become immortal.

Allah Malik

consciousness

Aum Sairam

Watch your consciousness, the feeling and sensation of being aware and alive, and observe what you feel. I do not mean that you look at the contents of your mind. I mean becoming fully aware and conscious of the sensation of being alive and existing. Some ability of concentration is needed to perform this simple exercise, because the mind with its thoughts will probably try to stand in your way.

This consciousness is not the awareness of the body or of the emotions or thoughts, but it is an awareness of what is beyond, when all these are dropped. By strengthening this awareness you do not cease to be and lose your consciousness. You become more conscious, but in a different way.

What I have just said may sound strange or meaningless, but this is because you may have never thought about your consciousness or tried to be aware of it.

This consciousness is our inner being, and there is nothing mysterious or mystical about it. We experience it constantly, but never investigate or try to be consciously and intently aware of it. This is because the mind and the attention flow outside, and rarely inside.

Dissolving the Bitterness of Life

Aum Sairam

Once a young man came to a revered teacher, who was seated under a tree near a beautiful lake, and asked for the solution for his unhappiness. After some minutes of conversation the old master kindly instructed the visitor to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink a few mouthfuls.

“How does it taste?” the teacher asked. “Awful,” said the apprentice after he had spat out the revolting liquid a few paces away. The teacher chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the youngster swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man told him, “Now drink from the lake.”

As the water dripped down the young man’s chin, the master asked him again, “How does it taste?” “Good!” he replied. “Do you taste the salt?” asked the Master. “No,” said the young man. The Master sat beside the troubled youth, took his hands, and said,

“The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the level of ‘pain we taste’ depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things. Stop being a glass. Become a lake.

And you can become a lake where you broaden your outlook; when you stop looking only at yourself and your own miseries. Look at life as a whole and the many things without which you would not be what you are today – your friends, family, hobbies, nature around you. When you are confronted with a problem, you see only the problem and ruminate over it endlessly which only makes the situation more tragic. Think of previous instances when things were better. Look at all the blessings that God has filled your life with about which you never give a thought.

Never compare yourself negatively with others. You are a unique person and if you have the faith, God will provide what you need. When you have a pain in your life, put it in front of GOD - then it will surely lessen. Do not put it in front of yourself – as you cannot see beyond it.

God is Infinite. Tap this source, with confidence.

The young man left, and his viewpoint on his problems had totally changed.

As the saying goes: Tell your problems how big your God Is.

Why Unity is Divinity

Aum Sairam

Man are the most elevated of creatures
Woman the most sublime of ideals.

God made for man a throne; for woman an altar
The throne exalts, the altar sanctifies.

Man is brain, woman, the heart.
The brain creates light, the heart, love. Light engenders, love resurrects.

Because of reason Man is strong
Because of tears Woman is invincible, reason is convincing, tears moving.

Man is capable of all heroism, woman of all martyrdom.
Heroism ennobles, martyrdom sublimates.

Man has supremacy,
Woman, preference.

Supremacy is strength, preference is the right.
Man is a genius, woman, an angel.
Genius is immeasurable, the angel indefinable.

The aspiration of man is supreme glory, the aspiration of woman is extreme virtue.
Glory creates all that is great, virtue, all is divine.

Man is a code, Woman a gospel.
A code corrects; the gospel perfects.

Man thinks, Woman dreams.
To think is to have a worm in the brain, to dream is to have a halo on the brow.

Man is an ocean, woman a lake. The ocean has the adorning pearl
The lake, dazzling poetry.

Man is the flying eagle, woman the singing nightingale.
To fly is to conquer space
To sing is to conquer the soul.

Man is a temple, Woman a shrine.
Before the temple we discover ourselves, before the shrine we kneel

In short, MAN is found where earth finishes
WOMAN where heaven begins.

Prayer For Peace

Aum Sairam

If there is to be peace in the world
There must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations
There must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities
There must be peace between neighbors.

If there is to be peace between neighbors
There must be peace in the home.

If there is to be peace in the home
There must be peace in the heart.

Poem

Aum Sairam

Go not to the temple to put flowers upon the feet of God
First fill your own house with the Fragrance of love.

Go not to the temple to light candles before the altar of God
First remove the darkness of sin from your heart.

Go not to the temple to bow down your head in prayer
First learn to bow in humility before your fellowmen.

Go not to temple to pray on bended knees
First bend down to lift someone who is down-trodden.

Go not to temple to ask for forgiveness for your sins
First forgive from your heart those who have sinned against you.

Mukti

Aum Sairam

One of the great needs of the present times is a regular system of meditative thought and spiritual self training for all men. The practice of meditation is a way of release from the troubles, sorrows and difficulties of life. That release is the one thing which all men must see. If it is to be complete and lasting, the release must at least be threefold:

The release must be of or through out own inner powers, those diverse qualities which we have developed in the hundreds of lives which lie behind us. Those aspiring for spiritual life must not wait for stress of outer circumstances to call forth that innate power. They must learn to release and employ it deliberately. Meditation is the way to achieve that release.

Release of the force of our own inherent divinity. As long as our attention is turned outwards to the external, the temporary and the fleeting, the God within us will remain asleep. It is within our power consciously to awaken and to release our divine potentialities here and now. There is incalculable energy behind every one of us. The real goal of meditation is the discovery of, and union with, the source of power.

Release from the sorrows and difficulties of life, from the unsatisfactory nature of human existence, consisting as it does of much pain that seems to last and of little happiness which seems so fleeting. We search for bliss which is eternal and serenity which is unshakable. We seek eternal liberation. We must learn quickly the lessons that pain and sorrow teach and turn inwards away from them into the heart of reality. We must withdraw from all our troubles until we see them in their right perspective as ephemeral shadows cast by our personalities upon the screen of time and space. We must turn our faces away from the many shadows towards One Light. Meditation is the way by which this great conversion may be achieved. We must think our way inwards to the very centre of our being. There we shall find the light eternal shining, there we shall find the place which is unshakable and which passe-th understanding.

Handle Insult And Maintain Compassion

Aum Sairam

The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion.

One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."

Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"

The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."

The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."

"If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy."

The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Buddha. "You are right, Oh Enlightened One, "he said. "And became one of his dearest follower"

Sri Sai is found in pain. Do we feel the pain of others as our own?
Sri Sai is found in love. Do we love others as our own?
Sri Sai is found in happiness. Are we content and happy with our life and accept it as gift of God?
Sri Sai is found in gratitude. Do we show gratitude to people and not take them from granted?
Sri Sai is found in equality. Do we show respect and treat all alike?
Sri Sai is found in fairness and humbleness. Are we fair in our dealings and abide by ethics of profession we involve in?
Sri Sai is found in humbleness. Are we humble enough for God to come to us?
Sri Sai is not found where there is Dominances of Maya, Arrogance, Pride, Ego, Selfishness, craving for fame and name using him.

Drive away the Maya. Read Shri Sai Satcharitra always, that is our best friend and keeping company of such noble and good friend helps us to be noble in our thoughts and deeds thus making room for Sri Sai to come and rule over our actions and words.

Sri Sai bless us and guide us always in our life. Help us to be truthful always and know that you are the embodiment of truth and all our ungodly acts and thoughts are known by you and you uncover these acts at some stage or other in our life.

God Is Giving

Aum Sairam

God is giving every thing to all the people. What the necessity of the service to Him?

The absolute reality is that God does not require any service and sacrifice from any soul.
In this state the creation does not exist itself. But He created the universe for entertainment.

He gave independence and intelligence to all the souls. God has removed the knowledge that this entire universe is His wealth only. He imposed ignorance on Himself and on the souls. In the state of this ignorance only, through sacrifice and service the love is proved. Such love only gives happiness to heart. There can be no better entertainment than this. You are bringing out this point to escape form sacrifice and service.

Such over intelligence arises due to your blind love on family and your selfishness. If you go to that absolute state of reality yourself and creation disappear. If your point is correct, don't ask God for anything. You want Advaita when you give something to Him.

You need Dvaita when He has to give some thing to you. If you do not aspire anything from Him, do not give anything to Him. In fact the highest devotion is to give every thing to Him without aspiring anything from Him. But you are reverse to this. Apart from this, you show over intelligence.

One Day At A Time

Aum Sairam

Our lives are made up of a million moments, spent in a million different ways. Some are spent searching for love, peace and harmony. Others are spent surviving day to day. But there is no greater moment than when we find that life, with all its joys and sorrows, is meant to be lived one day at a time.

It's in this knowledge that we discover the most wonderful truth of all. Whether we live in a forty-room mansion, surrounded by servants and wealth, or find it a struggle to manage the rent month to month, we have it within our power to be fully satisfied and live a life with true meaning.

One day at a time, we have that ability, through cherishing each moment and rejoicing in each dream. We can experience each day anew, and with this fresh start we have what it takes to make all of our dreams come true. Each day is new, and living one day at a time enables us to truly enjoy life and live it to the fullest.

The Pass Book

Monica married Hitesh this day. At the end of the wedding party, Monica's mother gave her a newly opened bank saving passbook with Rs.1000 deposit amount.

Mother: 'Monica, take this passbook. Keep it as a record of your marriage life. When there's something happy and memorable happened in your new life, put some money in. Write down what it's about next to the line. The more memorable the event is, the more money you can put in. I've done the first one for you today. Do the others with Hitesh. When you look back after years, you can know how much happiness you've had.'

Monica shared this with Hitesh when getting home. They both thought it was a great idea and were anxious to know when the second deposit can be made.

This was what they did after certain time:
- 7 Feb: Rs.100, first birthday celebration for Hitesh after marriage
- 1 Mar: Rs.300, salary raise for Monica
- 20 Mar: Rs.200, vacation trip to Bali
- 15 Apr: Rs.2000, Monica got pregnant
- 1 Jun: Rs.1000, Hitesh got promoted ...
and so on...

However, after years, they started fighting and arguing for trivial things. They didn't talk much. They regretted that they had married the most nasty people in the world.... no more love...Kind of typical nowadays, huh?

One day Monica talked to her Mother: 'Mom, we can't stand it anymore. We agree to divorce. I can't imagine how I decided to marry this guy!!!'

Mother: 'Sure, girl, that's no big deal. Just do whatever you want if you really can't stand it. But before that, do one thing first. Remember the saving passbook I gave you on your wedding day? Take out all money and spend it first. You shouldn't keep any record of such a poor marriage.'

Monica thought it was true. So she went to the bank, waiting at the queue and planning to cancel the account. While she was waiting, she took a look at the passbook record. She looked, and looked, and looked. Then the memory of all the previous joy and happiness just came up her mind. Her eyes were then filled with tears. She left and went home. When she was home, she handed the passbook to Hitesh, asked him to spend the money before getting divorce.

The next day, Hitesh gave the passbook back to Monica. She found a new deposit of Rs.5000. And a line next to the record: 'This is the day I notice how much I've loved you through out all these years. How much happiness you've brought me.'

They hugged and cried, putting the passbook back to the safe. Do you know how much money they had saved when they retired? I did not ask. I believe the money did not matter any more after they had gone through all the good years in their life.

"When you fall, in any way, don't see the place where you fell, instead see the place from where you slipped. Life is about correcting mistakes."

Remove The Rust To Awake

Aum Sairam

The habit of negativity affects the soul like rust on a shiny needle. Once corroded, a needle [soul] can no longer recognize a magnet [God] or be attracted to it. If cleansed of rust, the needle sparkles and, magnetism restored, it leaps to the magnet. The soul has been corroded by its own negative habits of thought and action. Today let me cleanse the soul of the rust of negativity.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led by thee into ever widening thought and action-Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake

Appreciation

Aum Sairam

You can never get to peace and inner security without first acknowledging all of the good things in your life. If you're forever wanting and longing for more without first appreciating things the way they are, you'll stay in discord.

Develop an attitude of gratitude. We discover a sense of wholeness as we appreciate both the small and big things in our lives. And it really helps to remember to appreciate ourselves. Appreciation is more than just acceptance -- it's respect and admiration. Let go of criticism and self-abuse.

Generally, appreciation means some blend of thankfulness, admiration, approval, and gratitude. In the financial world, something that appreciates grows in value. With the power tool of appreciation, you get the benefit of both perspectives: as you learn to be consistently thankful and approving, your life will grow in value.

Truth and Untruth

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy

Truth is the power and the manifestation. Truth is eternal and indestructible. Truth is the most beautiful and the brightest. Truth is silent because it does not need a voice. Truth remains at the core of the conscience, the abode of Sadguru Sainath. Every spiritual aspirant has to confront the entity of Truth, the biggest obstacle. Conquering falsehood, most tiring of all the battles, is the beginning of Sri Sai's expanse. It becomes at one
point the task of utmost relevance, to distinguish Truth from the set of other operable facts, the premise under which everyday dealings are carried out, material and even spiritual!

Are being devotional and having faith in Sadguru Sainath all what on needs? Faith and patience are sure what Sri Sai demanded from His children. However, just faith and having patience did not win the heart of Sri Sai. Stories are plentiful in Sadguru Sainath's abode where Sri Sai whipped up the conscience of those that he wanted to bless. Those who seek Him could never resist the piercing eyes of the compassionate father; the eyes that know the past, present, and the future. The eyes not that of the punishing policeman, but of the benevolent caretaker longing to lead one from the convenient facts to everlasting contentment, Truth!

How could one trying to realize that Sri Sai is the in dweller of all beings even attempt to either lie to the self or to others? Sri Sai never lied to anyone. He always spoke of parables; some of them were literally true while some were figurative. They were the individualized instructions that Sri Sai provided to those who deserve it and none else.

Sri Sai was always practical and realistic in his teachings. He never told His devotees to lie and asked them always to speak truth. The devotees knew that Sri Sai was antargyani [knower of the secrets of every being] and He would certainly catch them if they told a lie. Hence hey dared not speak untruth in His presence. Untruth does not work before Sadguru Sainath and He cannot be procured with untruth. Untruth means downfall. Untruth in the end takes you to hell

Let us on this beautiful Thursday remind ourselves of that benevolent caretaker longing to lead us from the convenient facts to everlasting contentment, Truth!

Action-Result in Karma Cycle

Aum Sairam

Do not link your service to any fruit from God. Link the fruits to your own actions. Some times your actions fail and unexpected negative results appear. People think that a good deed has given a bad result and a bad deed has given good result. Based on this, people doubt the existence of the divine system of the cycle of deeds.

Every action has its corresponding result after some time. The time gap may be even longer than this lifetime. Some actions give results at once. If you put your finger in the fire, it will burn immediately. But generally one's actions are enquired by the divine system under the supervision of God and the result of the action may be delivered after the some time in this lifetime or even after this life.

The time gap is a decision of the judge and not you. You might have done some good deed and its result may be received after ten days on a particular day at 10.30 am. You might have done a bad deed on that day at 10.29 am and its results will be received at a particular time after some days.

Now the observers think that the good result at 10.30 am is the effect of the bad deed done at the 10.29 am. The observers criticize the divine system of God. This cycle of deeds is a very complicated multidimensional network system with so many parameters of time and place correlated with each other.

The superimpositions and coincidence of some actions and some other fruits mislead you and you end up misunderstanding the intricate system. Except God nobody can analyze this network system. A deep analysis of all the parameters is impossible for the human brain. Therefore, never criticize the administration of God and unnecessarily earn sin.

Father of All Souls

Aum Sairam

God created all the souls and has the attitude of a father towards His children. A human father may sometimes show partiality in loving his children.

But God always has infinite love for all souls in an equal manner. Even the punishments in the hell are meant for the transformation of the souls from the lower level to the higher level.

God always tries to help the soul even if a trace of possibility exists according to its cycle of deeds to justify God's help.

One soul need not recommend another soul to God and ask for His grace on that soul. If a child requests his father to look after the welfare of his brother, how foolish it looks! No soul should recommend another soul to God and ask for His protection or grace on the soul. If any soul does so, it is only insulting the infinite love of God.

It is the climax of ignorance and the emotional love for the other soul, which lacks even a basic analysis of spiritual knowledge.

People Come Into Your Life

Aum Sairam

People come into your life for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a God send and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

19 Horses

Aum Sairam

One rich man owned 19 horses when he died. In his last will and testament he had written that upon his death, half the horses he owned should go to his only son; one fourth to the village temple and one fifth to the faithful servant. The village elders could not stop scratching their heads. How can they give half of the 19 horses to the son? You cannot cut up a horse. They puzzled over this dilemma for more than two weeks and then decided to send for a wise man who was living in a neighboring village.

The wise man came riding on his horse and asked the villagers if he can be of any help to them. The village elders told him about the rich man's last will and testament which stated that half of the [19] horses must be given to his only son, one fourth must go to the temple and one fifth to the faithful servant.

The wise man said he will immediately solve their problem without any delay whatsoever. He had the 19 horses placed in a row standing next to one another. Then he added his own horse as the 20th horse. Now he went about giving half of the 20 horses – that is ten horses to the son. One fourth of 20- that is 5 horses were given to the temple committee. One fifth of twenty- that is 4 horses were given to the faithful servant. Ten plus five plus four made 19 horses. The remaining 20th horse was his own which he promptly mounted, spoke a few inspiring words, and rode back home.

The villagers were simply dumfounded, full of disbelief and filled with admiration. And the parting words of the wise man were inscribed in their hearts and minds which they greatly cherished and passed on to their succeeding generations till today.

The wise man said: In our daily lives, in our daily affairs, simply add God's name and then go about facing the day's happenings. Ever come across problems in life that are seemingly insurmountable? [Like the villagers, do we feel that such problems cannot be solved?].

The wise man continued: Add the God Principle in our daily lives and the problems will become lighter and eventually will disappear. In the manner of the ice which, with the addition of the heat principle will turn into water, and that will eventually evaporate as steam and disappear. And how do we add God's name in our daily lives? Through prayers, filled with true love and devotion with sincerity of purpose and dedication that only total faith can bring about. Meditation is a powerful means of directing the mind God ward.

But without true love and devotion entering into it, it remains like a boat without water. It is not difficult to push a boat that is floating in water, but extremely hard to drag the same boat on dry land.

Anxiety And Sri Sai

Aum Sairam

Anxiety is uneasiness regarding something doubtful.

Anxiety is uneasiness or distress of mind regarding some uncertain event, which may involve danger or misfortune.

Anxiety is strained or solicitous desire, as for some object or purpose or eagerness, as one’s anxiety to please all.

It is a condition of restlessness and mental agitation with a distressful feeling of tightness and oppression in the region of the heart.

Anxiety is the rust of life. It destroys its brightness and weakens its power.

Anxiety is the poison of human life. Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Sufficient to each day are the duties to be done and the trials to be endured.

Full faith in Sri Sai puts an end to anxiety. A childlike and abiding trust in Sri Sai is its best preventive and remedy.

The cares of tomorrow weigh a man down. Do not torment yourself with imaginary dangers or trials or reverses. Be always happy and cheerful. Trust in Sri Sai and do the right. Leave the rest to Sri Sai.

Sri Sai looks after everybody. He feeds even the frog that lives between the strata of rocks. Be not, therefore, anxious, and say “What will become of my fate next year? What shall I eat tomorrow? What shall I do for my clothing and blanket? How can I arrange for the education of my son or the marriage of my daughter?” Sri Sai knows that you have need for all these things. He will do everything for you.

Do not make yourself wretched by imagining catastrophes unforeseen in the distant future. Do not anticipate misfortune.

Be always busy. Keep yourself ever occupied. Anxiety will take to its heels.

He who worships Sri Sai, who sings His glory, who recites His Name, is raised above anxiety for earthly wants.

You anticipate calamities, dangers and troubles. But they seldom come. Why do you unnecessarily worry yourself and waste your time, energy and strength?

Be of good cheer. Never bother about trouble till trouble actually troubles you.

Anxiety is choking disquiet. Anxiety is mental. It is in regard to the unknown, or what may happen. It refers to some future event, always suggesting hopeful possibility.

Worry is a more petty, restless and manifested anxiety. Anxiety may be quiet and silent. Worry is communicated to all around.

Solicitude is a milder anxiety.

Perplexity often involves anxiety, but may be quite free from it. A student may be perplexed regarding a translation, yet, if he has time enough, he is not at all anxious regarding it.

Assurance, calmness, carelessness, confidence, ease, light-heartiness, satisfaction, tranquility are the opposites of anxiety.

How To Improve Divinity

Aum Sairam

The best way to improve divinity is to respect others. Speak with respect, act with respect and help with respect, irrespective of your position, status, wealth etc.

The belief that everything in nature is the creation of God and have equal right to live with comfort and we are nothing in front that super natural power will make a man divine.

If the way of thinking is good, the mind become simple and the efforts become since, which will attract others up to you.

Help others as far as possible without any expectation.

A Beautiful Poem

Aum Sairam

A beautiful poem from God to you - "In this beautiful world"

In this beautiful World
When your are left alone
When there is no friend
When there is no love and no shoulder to cry on.

Call on to Me to have My divine company
Call Me my child and I will be your friend
Surrender to Me to receive the ocean of love which is just for you My love

In this beautiful world
When you are running low on moods
When there is no one to praise and encourage you and
When things are really not going your way.

Feel My presence around to have all the peace and happiness I have in store for you
Talk to Me and I will tell you how beautiful you are my child, that there is no one like you in My kingdom
Pray to me and have faith in me and things will never go wrong.

In this beautiful world
When no one will tell you what is right and what is wrong
When no one is ready to help and support you
When the roads are too bumpy to travel on.

Listen to My voice in your heart and all your problems will be solved
Make me your companion cause I will be your backbone to support you all your life
Think about meeting Me after this life, your journey of life will be on smooth highway.

In this beautiful world just remember one thing My dear angel
I am always around
I am always there
I am always deep in your heart
I am just a thought away
always there
always there
always there
In this beautiful world.

Now

Aum Sairam

Forget about your life situation for a while and pay attention to your life.

What is the difference?
Your life situation exists in time.
Your life is now.
Your life situation is mind-stuff.
Your life is real.

Find the "narrow gate that leads to life." It is called the Now.

Narrow your life down to this moment. Your life situation may be full of problems - most life situations are - but find out if you have any problem at this moment. Not tomorrow or in ten minutes, but now. Do you have a problem now?

When you are full of problems, there is no room for anything new to enter, no room for a solution. So whenever you can, make some room, create some space, so that you find the life underneath your life situation.

Patience

Aum Sairam

Sri Sai demanded dakshina [the term given to money or other material offered to the Guru by the disciple]. It is known that He did not ask for it from everyone that visited Him. His demands did not seem to conform to a particular pattern, neither did He receive it from everyone who wanted to offer. It was as if a divine predisposition dictated the matter of asking and receiving dakshina. Shri Sai Satcharitra reveals several incidents where Sainath had asked specific amounts of money from those who visited Him only to be confirmed later that the dealings existed beyond the knowledge of the giver.

On a metaphorical note, Sri Sai always insisted on two pice as dakshina to be given to Him by His followers. Faith and patience are considered as those two pice that this saint God wanted from His children. Patience is realized as a universal virtue that needs no explanation. However, patience that Sri Sainath wants from His devotees is unique.

The patience a devotee must possess should be similar to the one that a war horse exhibits in a battle field. Amid the deafening sounds of cannons, lingering death knell, chaos, and cacophony, the horse bears the weight of its rider and surges forward without any fear for his life. This is a patience coupled with valor and enthusiasm. This is the patience that Sri Sai wants His children to exhibit.

A passive act of waiting because of lack of alternatives may not be construed as patience that Sri Sainath demands from His followers. Patience has to be an active phase of courage, hope, and enthusiasm that arise out of one's surrender to His predisposition. Such a patience will reap a rich harvest, material and spiritual.

As you sow, so shall you reap. This is an eternal truth- If you do evil to any one, it will return to you with a vengeance. If you do good to any one even if you do not expect any return or reward, you would taste its sweet fruit in some form or the other. You grow in spiritual stature as you do good. You shrink and become a dwarf, if evil thoughts, evil words and evil deeds emanate from your lower self. Aspire for the Highest and you- would attain the highest. If you think of the lowest, you would be the lowest. It is for you to choose, good or evil, God or dust.

Enshrine your mind with thoughts of love. Pilot the ship of your soul in the deep waters of Peace and Harmony, Virtue and Contentment. Keep away from the cliffs of hatred and jealousy, greed, and avarice, lust and debasement. God answers no prayers, unless it emanates from a contrite heart, seeking forgiveness for sins in the past. Work your way rigidly and care not for crosses and pains, if they are borne for the sake of righteousness, which is the only path to God.,

Prayer of Repentance

Aum Sairam

We repent Oh Sai most merciful, for all our sins, for every thought that was false or unjust or unclean, for every word spoken that ought not to have been spoken, for every deed done that ought not to have been done.

We repent for every deed and word and thought inspired by selfishness, and for every deed and word and thought inspired by hatred.

We repent most specially for every lustful thought, and every lustful action; for every lie; for all hypocrisy, for every promise given, but not fulfilled, and for all slander and backbiting.

Most specially also, we repent for every action that has brought ruin to others, for every word and deed that has given others pain, and for every wish that pain should befall others.

In your unbounded mercy, we ask you to forgive us, Oh Sai, for all these sins committed by us and to forgive us for our constant failures to think, speak and act according to your will.

The Best Day of My Life

Aum Sairam

May this Thursday [Baba's Day] bring you Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy.

Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever!

There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did I'm going to celebrate!

Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my head held high, and a happy heart. I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds the trees, the flowers, the birds. Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.

Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know. Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for her and how much she means to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.

And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!

How To Live LIFE

Aum Sairam

May this Thursday [Baba's Day] bring you Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness and Joy.

Don’t Compare Yourself With Anyone In This World
If You Compare, You Are Insulting Yourself

No One Will Manufacture A Lock Without A Key
Similarly, God Won't Give Problems Without Solutions

Life Laughs At You, When You Are Unhappy
Life Smiles At You, When You Are Happy
Life Salutes You, When You Make Others Happy

Every Successful Person Has A Painful Story
Every Painful Story Has A Successful Ending
So Accept The Pain And Get Ready For Success

Easy Is To Judge The Mistakes Of Others, Difficult Is To Recognize Our Own Mistakes
It Is Easier To Protect Your Feet With Slippers, Than To Cover The Earth With Carpet

No One Can Go Back And Change A Bad Beginning
But Anyone Can Start Now And Create A Successful Ending

If A Problem Can Be Solved, No Need To Worry About It
If A Problem Cannot Be Solved, What Is The Use Of Worrying???

If You Miss An Opportunity, Don't Fill The Eyes With Tears
It Will Hide Another Better Opportunity In Front Of You

"Changing The Face" Can Change Nothing, But "Facing The Change" Can Change Everything
Don't Complain About Others, Change Yourself If You Want Peace

Mistakes Are Painful When They Happen
But Year's Later Collection Of Mistakes Is Called Experience, Which Leads To Success

Be Bold When You Lose, And Be Calm When You Win
Heated Gold Becomes Ornament.
Beaten Copper Becomes Wires.
Depleted Stone Becomes Statue.
So The More Pain You Get In Life, You Become More Valuable.

Belief And Disbelief

Aum Sairam

It is easier to disbelieve than to believe because disbelief is an act of descent, whereas belief is an act of ascent. It is easier to disbelieve than to believe because disbelief is an act of breaking, and belief is an act of building. Building is more difficult than breaking.

It is easier to disbelieve than to believe because disbelief is an act of our self centered mind, whereas belief is an act of our self giving heart.

We disbelieve because we are afraid of oneness, afraid of the vast. We feel that when we enter into the vast, we lose our identity, we lose our individuality, we lose our very existence. But we forget the undeniable truth that when we enter into the vastness, it is nothing short of the enlargement of our divined consciousness.

When we disbelieve Sri Sai, when we disbelieve the reality, Sri Sai remains the same. But what happens is that ignorance gets the opportunity to envelop us more powerfully and more completely. When we believe in Sri Sai, Sri Sai's compassion gets the utmost opportunity to work in and through us most powerfully.

The deeper we enter into the spiritual life, the more we become aware of the capacity of disbelief and belief. Disbelief is nothing short of destruction. Belief is nothing short of a new creation. Each time we believe in something, we see the face of a new creator within and without us. And when we go one step ahead, when our inner faith looms large, then we see in us a perfected man and a liberated soul.

Devotee Or Disciple

Aum Sairam

Sri Sai called Abdul Baba, Nana Chandorkar, Mahalaspati, Das Ganu with others and started asking each of them, "Do you know who you are?" Each of them replied, "I am your Disciple." Sri Sai said, "Nonsense! Don't use that term any longer. I have no disciples in this world. I have countless devotees. You do not recognize the distinction between a disciple and a devotee. Anyone can be a devotee. But that is not the case with the disciple.

A disciple is one who carries out implicitly the commands of the Guru. The mark of the Disciple is total devotion to Guru. Only the man who say, 'I have none in the world other than the Guru,' is a disciple. How far have you respected my injunctions? How are you entitled to claim that you are my disciples? Only the one who follows me like my shadow can claim to be my disciple. The devotee is one who pray to the Lord wherever he may be. Hence there is a big difference between a disciple and a devotee. The disciple and Guru are like two bodies with one spirit.

The disciple should have no sense of separateness from Guru. He should feel, 'I and you are one.' There are no such disciples to be found in the world. There are millions of devotees, but no disciples.

On hearing this, Shama was in deep pain. He felt within himself, "Apart from serving at your feet, I have no other concern." Sri Sai then went into another room and called Shama inside. "In this entire world, for Me you are the only disciple. All other are my devotees." At that moment, Shama fell at the feet of a Sri Sai, and cried out, "you alone, you alone" [are my refuge] and breathed his last. In all his life, Sri Sai had never shed a tear in the presence of devotees. When Shama passed away He shed three drops of tears. The devotees present there said, Sai! Why do you feel so grieved? All are in your hands. Sri Sai replied, I am not grieving at all. Almost all his sins had been wiped out already. By the three tear drops I shed, the remaining sins have been washed away.

Shradha and Saburi

Aum Sairam

Anant Koti Bhramhand Nayak Raja Dhiraj Yogiraj Parab Bhramh Shree Sachidanand Sadguru SAINATH MAHARAJ Ki Jai

Sri Sai does not believe in any dress or customs irrespective of the cast and creed. He takes into account the clearness of heart of a devotee nothing else. For that reason He says that if you are not suppose to help anyone do not abuse him/her via ill words. If you have that strong faith in Him them even the Maya won't dare to trouble you and all our misdeeds in this birth or earlier will be erased.

'Shradha' and 'Saburi' is the key. Trust in Him, He will surely help u reach the other side of the lake where lies your dreams and ambitions. My only prayer To Him is let His graceful hands remain on us for ever, Let His children find solace at His feet. Let they be safe under His arms and feel secured. If this is thus none can dare to harm His devotee in any manner though it might be intentionally or unintentionally. And Sri Sai is always concerned about His devotees

Like a devotee thinks about his hidden treasure that is Sri Sai. Likewise He too has His mind always on us. For Him we are His treasure. Guru is always concerned about His devotees, but that undivided attention, faith and patience should be the Prasad to be offered to our Deity.

Whose Love Is Stronger

Aum Sairam

Oh Sai maine Jap Tap kucch na kiya
Phir bhi toone deen dayalu
Pyar se mujhe apnaya
Pyar se mujhe apnaya

Oh Sai, I haven't performed any penance or other austerities Yet, the most merciful Sri Sai, You have taken me into your fold!

Is our love of Sri Sai stronger than His love and compassion towards us? Can we love Sri Sai beyond the realms of desires and fear? Is it possible to imagine how that love would be where there are no expectations from Sri Sai? Can we love Him and just love Him forever and ever, willing to surrender our everything? Is our faith in totality even at times of distress? Do we remember Sri Sai while laughing and crying? In Pain and Pleasures? In tears of happiness and sorrow?

Sri Sai loves us and He does without expecting any gains from us. He needs nothing, nor He is in want of anything. What could the Viswagarbha, the one who has entire universe in His fold need? He just asked for those two paisa from those that were willing to give him, a virtue of the ancient link between Sri Sai and those who are drawn to him. For anyone that had different ways, He said, Allah Aacha Karenga [God will do good].

One sign of humility is the cognizance that it is Sri Sai's love and compassion that brought Him close to us and not our efforts to be or our choice to serve Him and be devoted to Him. A sadbhaktha's prerogative is to question his/her worthiness to receive Sri Sai's blessings. It is with this feeling one should ask how he/she could use the body, mind, and wealth be spent in the service of Sri Sai. Love of Sri Sai is manifold stronger than the affection that one would sheepishly exhibit towards Sri Sai as mere gratitude to the fulfillment of a desire. Trying to know the difference is the beginning of the understanding of universal love.

Love of Humanity is Love of God

I am sure that everyone who is reading this article claims that he loves God immensely with all his heart and soul... But do we all truly ,really love God??
As strange as it may sound, In this world where its is normal for all of us to see corruption everyday, where we find people killing each other in the name of religion in almost every country , where jealousy , greed, anger, injustice, politics ,ego etc are a part of our daily lives , where humanity looks great only in books and lectures--with all these and much more negativity around and in us - do we really have enough place in our hearts to Love God who is our creator.
As strange as it may sound, where it is hard for us to love another human being who we can see and talk to --- we claim to love God who we can not see or even talk face to face. Infact no one to this date has any idea of how does God actually look like.... We all very well know that each one of us was created by God, himself but we still manage to abuse His divine creation and then claim to Love God immensely. But the truth is if we really do love God then first we have to learn to love his creation. We have to learn to love and respect other human beings. We have to start with baby steps by first loving the creatures that were created by Him. In other words, love humanity. Humanity which teaches us to be kind, loving, caring, forgiving, and above all it teaches us to be humble. Humanity spreads happiness and promotes peace of mind and inner contentment. No doubt, qualities like these are bound to bring us closer to God. So for me in simple words, Love of humanity is love of God.

"Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu

Gurur Devoh Maheshwar;

Gurur Shakshat Parambramha

Tashmai Shri Gurur Veh Namah"

May the Merciful Sri Sai Baba always shower His grace on us and our families and remove our problems and anxieties by giving us all - strength , goodluck, success and happiness with peace of mind.

Inner Significance

Aum Sairam

We are all the Divine Children of immortality. The true purpose of human birth is to transform our human nature into Divine Nature! We can fulfill the purpose of our birth, only if daily we do our dharma...i.e. do the duties we ought to do. God is within us. His Presence within us means both a gift and a responsibly.

A responsibility to guard every though, word, and deed as a manifestation of the Divine in us.

The Sun is the source of light on earth. Without the sun the entire world will be plunged in darkness...Similarly, we too must awake like the rising sun to the Ultimate Source of Light...The Divine within who is the source of intellectual and spiritual enlightenment.

Criticism

Aum Sairam

God created all the souls and has the attitude of father towards His children. The father sometimes may have partiality in showing the love equally to His children. But God is always having infinite love for all the souls in equal manner. Even the punishments in the hell are meant for transformation of the souls from lower level to the higher level. God always tries to help the soul even if a trace of possibility exists in the cycle of the deeds. One soul need not recommend about the other soul to God to show the grace. If somebody recommends to his father regarding the welfare of his brother, how foolish it looks! No soul should recommend to the God about other soul for protection or for showing the grace. If any soul recommends like that it is only insulting the infinite love of God. It is only the climax of the ignorance and the emotional love on the other soul, which lacks even the basic analysis of spiritual knowledge.

Never criticize any one in the world. If you do not like to praise somebody, keep silent. If you scold somebody and suppose God is hidden in that person, it will lead to immediate punishment. Worship of God and insulting God will have immediate results in this world because both are powerful. The help and insult to the colleague souls will have results in the upper world in heaven and hell. But the service and insult to God in human form and devotees will have immediate results here itself. Generally it is very difficult to identify God in human form who will try to hide Himself by looking like an ordinary person or some times looking like even a negative person. God in human form acts according to the role taken on the stage of the world. The role is according to the divine program drawn by God Himself. The role generally does not contain the supernatural behavior, which will create problems of free mixing of God with the souls.

The role consists of mainly normal behavior and sometimes subnormal behavior to test the devotees or to drive away the undeserving devotees who will try to exploit God. In such case there is every possibility of misunderstanding God as a normal human being or some times as a bad human being. If you neglect God assuming Him as a normal human being, there is nothing wrong in it and you will not be in loss even though you may not have the benefit. But if you insult Him assuming a bad fellow, that is the greatest sin and will have immediate negative effect. Since, we cannot trace out God easily, it is better not to criticize even a bad fellow. Leave him to his fate. Who are you to criticize anybody? You have lot of bad points shown by your bulky thumb, when you point out others with your lean finger. The constitution of God running the divine cycle of deeds will take care of everything in the world. Why do you unnecessarily take the risk of insulting the hidden God?

Allah Malik

Why The "I" Should Be Important?

Aum Sairam

Everyday there are lots of mail in my inbox trying to tell me how to reach enlightenment, What should be done and what should not be done, the blessings of God and the fear of Satan, what is right and what is wrong and so on.

But, have we ever given thought about who we are? We are the actors in the play of Maya, the game of God, to keep him/her busy. He/she or, should I say, "it" keeps on dividing itself in different forms of men, women, animals, saints, satans, river, mountains etc to keep itself occupied. And we, the divided ones of the original one, acquire the
mantle of a SELF and start analyzing what is right or wrong.

We are all wasting time. We should just live in NOW, on a day to day basis, without thinking of acquiring the riches or sainthood. The karma comes till we are SELF driven. If there is NO self, there won't be any Karma to accumulate - whether good or bad.

Live life, as it comes. Do not try to be anything what you are not!

Trust And Hope

Aum Sairam

Happy Baba’s Day And Gurpurab

When you repose faith and trust in God, there is room for hope. If you have no faith, then you go about blaming others and God for all the ills of humankind. Therefore vishwas or faith should be cultivated. Those who believe in Him Get to the gate of salvation. Those who believe in Him are saved with their kin. Those who believe in Him swim across and help others to swim. Those who believe in Him Don't have to beg of others. Such is the Name of God the Pure, Those who believe in Him They alone get to know Him.

Guru Nanak Saheb's Birthday

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] And Gurpurab Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness And Joy.

Dhan Guru Nanak, Jag Taariya - Blessed be Guru Nanak [whose teachings] saved the world.

This year, the birthday of the Great Master, Guru Nanak Sahib falls on 13th of November. The Sindhis were greatly influenced by Guru Nanak's teachings as He did pass through Sindh and expound His beautifully simple philosophy to the Sindhis of that area. The Sindhis were so deeply influenced by the Master's teachings that it was not uncommon for the Sindhis to make their first son a Sikh. Even today the Sindhis worship Guru Nanak with the same fervor that they accord to, Shri Krishna, Shri Ram, Lord Shiva or/and Maa Durga, Maa Laxmi and Maa Saraswati Shree Bhagwad Gita and The Guru Granth Sahib both enjoy an exalted status in Sindhi homes. Come let us pay homage to this Giant personality.

Nanak uttered the famous words:

Ek Omkaar -- Only One Omkaar -- Only One primordial sound [which continues when everything ceases to be]. Only One God. [One Ocean with many waves].
Sat Naam -- The True Name. That which is True.
Karta Purukh -- He who Creates.
Nir-bhav -- Without fear. One who is fearless.
Nir-vair -- One who has no enemies.
Akaal-Moorat -- He whose form is beyond Time and description.
'Kaal' means 'Time'. Akaal means 'Beyond Time' Time is subject to change. God is not. God has no beginning and no end.
Ayooni-Saibhan -- He who is Self-Effulgent and is not born from a mother's womb.
Gur-Parsaad – [The dissolution of the ego, This Blissful experience and the taking of the Lord's name is due to the] Mercy of the Guru.
Jap –[Therefore] Chant the Lord's Name
Aadi-Sach--Jugaadi-sach -- True since the beginning of Time Hai- bhi-sach -- Is True in the present
Nanak hosee bhee sach -- Nanak claims that He will remain true for evermore.

The above immortal words are enshrined at the beginning of the Sikh Holy Scripture: The Guru Granth Sahib.

The Hindus cremated the flowers whereas the Muslims buried theirs. Like Guru Nanak claims in one of his hymns;

Nanak leen bhayo Govind syon Jyon pani sang pani
Which means that Nanak has so merged with the Lord Like water does with water.

Akbar's Prayer

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] And Gurpurab Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success, Happiness And Joy.

Akbar as we all know, is one of the greatest Mughal Emperors. He was a lover of mankind and respected the great and pious souls of all religions.

He had heard of Guru Nanak's reputation and his attempts to unite the Hindus and the Muslims. He desired to welcome him and honor him in his court. So he sent word to him through his minister, paying his respects and requesting him to grace his court. Guru Nanak replied to the minister: "I shall only respond to the call of God, the Emperor of Emperors and shall enter only His court."

The minister conveyed this message to the Emperor. Akbar's respect for Guru Nanak increased and so he sent word again to meet him at the mosque at least Nanak consented and did come to the mosque at the appointed hour. Both Akbar and Nanak were welcomed by the mullah with due honor. According to the custom, the mullah should say the prayers first. So he sat on his knees and prayed loudly. Nanak laughed loudly. All the Muslims in the temple got angry but dared not say anything because of the Emperor's presence. Then Akbar sat on his knees and prayed. Nanak at once laughed even more loudly. The atmosphere in the mosque was becoming tense. The faces of the devotees became red and their lips twitched to pounce upon Nanak. Akbar controlled them by way of silent gesture. Both of them came out. Akbar questioned Nanak with all humility: "Oh revered one!, may I know why you laughed loudly during the prayer session? Does it become you?"

Guru Nanak replied: "Oh king, how could I withhold my laughter when I could see clearly that neither the mullah nor your majesty where thinking of God while praying. The mullah was thinking of his ailing son and you were thinking of the pair of beautiful Arabian horses that were gifted to you. Is it worthy of either the mullah or your majesty to call that prayer? Is it not hypocrisy? The mullah and emperor sought pardon from Nanak and thanked him for opening their eyes to their own weakness.

Remember that prayer is not just a string of words of praise to God to be recited mechanically. It is an earnest attempt to awaken and arouse the divinity in us. We should say prayers with full concentration. What matters is the feeling, not either the voice or words. "Mere adulation is poor adoration".

Discover The Treasures Inside You

Aum Sairam

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed.
Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.

Peace, joy, health and well-being can only be found inside us.
They exist within us now, waiting to be discovered.
Yet we tend to look to the outside world to satisfy our needs and longings.

Our outer life reflects back to us the way we think, feel and behave.
The outer world is all effects.

Go to the source inside for all of life’s treasures.
How are you searching for peace and contentment outside of yourself?

Don't Think I'll be happy when…
When I get the money. When I get a BMW. When I get this job.’
Well, the reality is, you never get to when.
The only way to find happiness is to understand that happiness is not out there.
It's in here. And happiness is not next week. It's now.

Like beauty, joy is one of the highest vibrations on this planet.
Bring the joy that's already inside you to life with the 'Activating Joy'

Allah Malik

Shiva Blesses You

Aum Sairam

Listen you all, to the dum dum sounds of damaru the Divine Call to wake up you out of slumber.
Let loose your grip of the little pleasures of world, see! The fire of Mahakala has already destroyed them all.
Be not a slave of your body of slithering passions, soon to turn into mere burnt ash.
What difference it makes bedecked with jewels or with matted locks and a dried skin?
Swallow the poison of pride and control your passions in the coolness of soma
Let the flowing waters of Ganga cleanse your soul.
The Divine hand urges you to surrender at the feet of the Lord.
The Abhaymudra is His assurance to freedom.
