Baba's Promises

Aum Sairam

Look to Me and I will look to you. Trust the Guru fully. That is the
only Sadhana, Guru is all the Gods.

Sit quiet. I will do the needful. I will take you to the goal.

I will not allow my devotees to fall. Night and day, I think of My people.

My tomb will speak and move with those who make Me their sole refuge. I
shall be active and vigorous from the tomb also.

My name will speak; My dust will reply.

If one meditates on Me, repeats My name, sings My deeds, and is thus
transformed into Me, his karma is destroyed. I will stay by his side always.

I draw My devotee to Me at the time of his death, though he may die a
thousand miles away.

If one sees Me only, always, listens to talk about Me, and perpetually
repeats 'Sai Sai' with heart overflowing with devotion and is devoted
to Me alone, he will reach God, he need not fear or worry for his body
and soul

If one never tastes food before offering it to Me, I am his slave.

I will never leave any one in the middle.

In the abode of my devotees there will be no dearth of food and
clothing. How can I allow My children to fast or starve?

I will not allow my men to get away from Me.

Shanti Shanti Shanti

Aum Sairam

Why do we chant Shanti three times at the end of the prayer

To invoke peace, at a mental and physical plane, Hindus chant prayer.
These prayers always end with three chants of invocation, "Shanti,
Shanti, Shanti" or "Peace, Peace, Peace". These prayers spoken in
sincerity, gives peace of mind. But, why chant Shanti three times? The
three repetitions are addressed to three groups into which all
obstacles can be classed.

1. Cosmic (God sent) or Heavenly - From Nature, the thermic or dynamic
forces such as wraths from unknown objects like earth quake,
lightening, excessive rain. In Sanskrit this is called Aadhidaivika.

2. Phenomenal or cruelties From objects like floods, fire, wild beast,
object known to us environmental disturbance like human foes, etc. In
Sanskrit this is called Aadhibhautika.

3. Purely subjective i.e.., created by Body ailments, inertia,
insincerity, lack of concentration, from our own selves, obstacles
agitation of mind, body negative thoughts and intellect. In Sanskrit
this is called Aadhyaatmika.

Air service between Mumbai-Shirdi

Air service between Mumbai-Shirdi to take off soon

Mumbai, Oct 18: Devotees of Sai Baba, who have been facing problems of
long distance travel, can now just board a copter from the city and
reach Shirdi within 45 minutes.

Private carrier Jagson airlines on Thursday announced their new
commercial venture of providing a to-and-fro 26-seater helicopter
service between Mumbai and Shirdi on a daily basis from next week.

The fare for the chopper flight is fixed at Rs 3,000.

"Talks for a regular airport at Shirdi are on. Keeping in mind the
changing scenario of the holy place, the air services will benefit a
lot of people," Minister for Energy, Technical and Medical Education,
Dilip Walse-Patil, who inaugurated the services, said.

Yesteryears actor and devotee Manoj Kumar said, "Vatican can be
identified as a holy place for the Christians, Ajmer Sharif for the
Muslims and Tirupati for the Hindus. But Shirdi is one such place,
which is secular and cannot be claimed as the centre for any one religion."

"It is more important for this very reason. Everyone can come here and
find an answer to their prayers," he added.

Actor and singer Raageshwari said that it was indeed this secularism
which was need of the hour.

Chairman of Jagson, J P Gupta, said that Mumbai was aflush with
devotees of Sai Baba and considering that most film personalities
visited the shrine to offer prayers on several occasions, the airline
started the services.

Five Faiths To Salvation

Aum Sairam

Happy Baba's Day

[1] Faith and Devotion: The future belongs to those who have faith and
devotion, because faith is the greatest source of success.

[2] Patience: Patience is as important as faith is; lack of patience
makes a person give up half way through to success.

[3] Critism: Never criticize anyone, a person who condemns others,
exposes the filth inside him.

[4] Arrogance: Self praise is no recommendation, arrogance leads to
perishment, and one should therefore save oneself from the devil of arrogance.

[5] Enchantment: There is no need of renunciation, fast, yagya's etc
just by enchanting the name of Sri Sai Baba, one will get ferried
through the world and achieve liberation from rebirth.

Firm Faith

Aum Sairam

May This Thursday [Baba's Day] Bring You Strength, Good luck, Success
Happiness And Joy

When Sri Sai walks in, fear walks away.
When fear walks away, faith walks in.
When faith walks in, worries walk away.
When worries walk away, peace walks in.
When peace walks in, fear walks away.
When fears walk away, Sri Sai walks in.

Sri Sai is the beginning, Sri Sai is the end.

All in between is "The Battle".
The battle between the "I" and the "Self."

Remember the "I" will attack you, the "Self" will always protect.
The "I" will cripple you; the "Self" will only strengthen.

When the "Self" walks in, the "I" walks away.
When the "I" walks away, "Universal Love" walks in.

Then peace becomes your road, bliss becomes your transport, and Sri Sai
becomes your destination.

One filled with divine love will be fearless, will seek nothing from
others, and will be spontaneous and selfless in expressing his love.
There is no need to pray for gifts from Sri Sai. Sri Sai will give of
His own accord what is good for any devotee. Sri Sai will decide what
to give, when to give, and where. Hence, all actions should be
dedicated to Sri Sai and He should decide what the devotee is fit to
receive. When everything is left to Sri Sai out of pure love and total
faith, He will take care of His devotee's.

The Importance of His Darshan

Aum Sairam

The peculiarity of Sri Sai Baba's darshan, as I found it, is that by
His darshan our thoughts are changed, the force of previous actions is
abated and gradually non-attachment of dispassion towards worldly
objects grows up. It is by the merit of actions in many past births
that such darshan is got, and if only you see Sri Sai Baba, really all
the world becomes or assumes the form of Sri Sai Baba. Wonderful is the
power of the touch of Guru's hand. The subtle-body [consisting of
thoughts and desires], which cannot be burnt by the world dissolving
fire, is destroyed by the mere touch of the Guru's hand
and the sins of many past births are cleaned and washed away. Even the
speech of those, whose heads feel annoyed when they hear religious and
Godly talks, attains calmness. The seeing of Sri Sai Baba's handsome
form, chokes our throat with joy, makes the eyes overflowing with
tears, and overwhelms the heart with emotions. It awakens in us ' I am
He [Brahman]' consciousness, manifests the joy of self-realization, and
dissolving the distinction of I and Thou, then and there, makes us one
with the Supreme [One Reality].

Fill Up Your Tank

How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are
needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life - and a
commitment to action. Every day, it's important to ask and answer
these questions: 'What's good in my life?' and 'What needs to
be done?'

I have found there's a very different quality to my action when it
springs from a sense of abundance as opposed to a feeling of being impoverished.
When I sense I'm not good enough or that I don't have enough, I
feel driven to be better and to have more. Whatever I do takes effort
- there's an element of struggle involved. And this makes sense
because there's no fuel - I'm working on an empty tank.

When I'm feeling abundant, I act out of my own inspiration. I'm
rich and full and so the energy flows naturally. This action at times
feels almost effortless.

It's important to remember that we don't need money to be abundant. All
we need is appreciation of all that we have.

What I focus on in life is what I get. And if I concentrate on how bad
I am or how wrong I am or how inadequate I am, if I concentrate on what
I can't do and how there's not enough time in which to do it,
isn't that what I get every time? And when I think about how powerful
I am, and when I think about what I have left to contribute, and when I
think about the difference I can make on this planet, then that's
what I get. You see, I recognize that it's not what happens to you;
it's what you do about it.
